Hi, my names Ayami Mikomi, but my friends call me Aya. Well sometimes they call me Cat. They call me that because I really act like a cat. I always land on my feet. I play with strings, balls and bells. I sleep almost all day and I meow a lot. I am about five foot four inches tall. I have blond hair and blue eyes, and I always wear black.
I’m a little depressed right now. You’re probably wondering why, right? Well I just learned, last night, that I’m moving after school today, so I have to find a way to tell my friends.
“Aya, wake up or Miss. Higurashi will give you detention.” I heard Saya say. I slowly opened my eyes and looked at my friends.
“It’s not like it would be the first time.” Kai said.
“Ha-ha, you’re so funny Kai.” I said as I stood up and stretched.
“Hello low lives.” Said a bratty voice.
“What do you want Diva?” Saya asked.
“Nothing from you.” Diva said. She laughed and walked away.
“That’s one reason, I’m glad to be moving.” I accidentally said out loud.
“What you’re moving, when?” Saya asked.
“Yes, today after school.” I said sadly.
“Why didn’t you tell us sooner?” Kai asked.
“I just found out last night.” I said even sadder.
“I don’t want you to move.” Riku said as he ran up and hugged me.
“I’m sorry Riku, but it was my step- mother’s decision.” I said as I looked down at Riku. He was starting to cry. “Please don’t cry.” I said and kneeled down to his level. (He’s younger than me, Kai’s older, and Saya’s my age)
“Let’s spend the day together.” Kai said.
“But we have school and none of us are in the same grade, except for Saya and me.” I said.
“Well then, let’s skip school.” Kai said.
“But….” I started to say, but Kai interrupted me.
“It’s your last day, we want to spend it with you, and besides, I don’t want to be at school today.” He said.
I laughed and said, “Alright, let’s go before the teacher comes.”
“What do we do if one of the teachers does catch us?” Riku asked.
“We run.” I said bluntly.
