In Town
“Alright, we just have to be outside the school before school lets out.” I said.
“Why?” Saya asked.
“That’s where my step-mom is picking me up. Then we’re leaving.” I said.
“Well let’s not think of that, let’s just have fun.” Kai said.
“Alright.” We all said.
“So what first?” I asked.
“Amusement park?” Riku asked, while pointing to a sign.
“Hmm, spending the last day in America, with my friends, riding roller costars, and vomiting. Sounds fun to me.” I said and we started to walk toward the amusement park.
“What do you mean your last day in America?” Riku asked.
“I’m moving to Japan.” I said and payed to get into the park.
“I said, let’s not think about this and have fun.” Kai said.
“Sorry, big brother.” Riku said. (Kai and Riku are real brothers and Saya is their adopted sister.)
“Let’s ride wicked twister.” I said and walked to the line.
“But you’re afraid of it.” Saya said.
“Yeah, I know, but I want to leave here without any regrets. I would regret it if I never rode it.” I said.
“Alright.” They all said.
A Few minutes before three.
“You guys, we have to get back to the school and NOW!” I yelled and ran to the school, with my three friends following. Once we reached the school, the students we’re just being let out.
“Where have you four been all day?” asked a women voice. We all tensed up and turned around to see Mrs. Higurashi.
“We went to the amusement park.” I said.
“Well, just for that, you all have detention tomorrow.” She said.
“Aya can’t have detention.” Riku said.
“And why not?” Mrs. Higurashi asked.
“She’s moving to Japan. Today was her last day.” Saya said.
“We just wanted to spend the day with our friend before we left.” Kai said.
“What you’re leaving? Now class is going to be boring.” She said and hugged me.
“Sorry Mrs. Higurashi, but I have to go now.” I said as I saw my step-mom over my former teacher’s shoulder.
Mrs. Higurashi released me and said, “Well, goodbye Aya.” And then she walked away.
“Well, this is goodbye.” I said as I looked at my friends. Riku started to cry again and I hugged him. Kai and Saya joined in and made it a group hug. We released and ran over to my step-mom.
“Well, I’ll talk to guys whenever I can.” I said and got into the passenger seat of the car. My step-mom pulled away from the school and I looked back at my friends.
