"Here we are, M'lady! May Aslan's spirit be with you!" You hear Gryphon announce, feeling the vibration of his voice beneath you.
You inhale through your nose rather quickly and snap your eyes open, cocking your head upright. You had been dozing off into a... sleep. Nature was not able to keep you alert and energetic for long, as you can now see...
You lick your lips and blink a few times, waking yourself up, and look down at the ground beneath you. You are gliding over the thin pathway that is walled by rocks and large boulders. Aslan's army is being chased through it by a number of foul creatures from the Snow Queen's side.
The wind stings against your bruising cheeks, as if deliberately trying to wake you up for whatever is to come. Gryphon screeches loudly, catching the attentions of a few of your fellow soldiers - two in particular - and he then soars down to the earth, on a sloping hill, and lands upon it with an easy run. You grip his fur even tighter for fear that you will fall off, and he soon comes to a halt.
"Quick now, M'lady. They are moving towards us at a fast speed." He pants, folding his wings in.
You nod, even though he can't see you, and pull your left leg round. You slip down from his back, smearing blood on his soft, brown coat, and stumble backwards a little. He turns to look at you, tilting his feathered head to the side.
"Do you wish to escape? I shall take you away from here, M'lady, if you wish to"-
"No-- Gryphon" You interrupt, sighing "I'm fine. Th-thank you."
Gryphon gurgles softly and bows his head, scratching his clawed foot upon the rocky ground. You bow your head in return and take off into a steady jog towards the rocky pass-through that most of the soldiers are coming through. Weapons are scattered all over the ground, and so it doesn't take you very long to find a well-suited sword. You bend down, whimpering softly as you feel a strong throb from your gut, and swipe it up with your bloody gloved hand. You lean back up and start staggering down the steady-sloped hill, entering the rocky pass-way.
You look ahead and feel your heart flutter with relief as you see Peter galloping towards your position on the back of his Unicorn. A faint smile appears on your lips, and you shift your feet excitedly. Suddenly, the sound of many 'vvvvshmm's echo all around you, and many of the White Witch's soldiers drop dead to the ground. You whip round to see Edmand, Russel and many of the Elvin archers upon a hill-top, holding their bows out *Excellent move, boys.*
You look back round, expecting to see Peter not very far away from you. Instead, his Unicorn suddenly collapses underneath him as an arrow shoots into its chest, and he is flung from its back and sent tumbling to the floor.
You gasp and take a few steps forwards "Peter...!"
Oreius is nearby, and as soon as he spots the terribly frightened look upon your face, he stops running and turns round. A rhino next to him grunts aggressively, and he glances down at him as if to agree with whatever it means. He looks back out at Peter as he rolls onto his back, looking out at all of the creatures that are heading his way, and he takes off into a new gallop with his sword out before him. The White Witch comes into view, still in her mighty carriage with her polar bears dragging her on, and Peter quickly scrambles to his feet. Peter looks round just in time to see Oreius gallop past him with the Rhino.
"Noooo!" He yells, turning to watch him as he goes.
He doesn't stop, however, and nor does the powerful rhino that runs with him. The rhino begins knocking creatures out of the way with its sharp, thick tusks, and they all fly away like balloons. One creature, however, stabs its axe into the poor creature's foot and it topples over on itself. Oreius leaps right over it and continues racing towards the White Witch.
He cuts people out of his way with the two swords he holds in his hands, and he comes to face that horrid Wilder-beast man that you hate so much *Go on... crush him.* Oreius swings his swords and manages to punch it in the face with his fist, but the beast just grabs onto his back and is dragged along with him. Oreius will not give up though. He swings his swords round and stabs them down into the stump of his neck, causing it to let go of his back and crash down into the earth *Yesss!*
Oreius looks straight ahead of him, and his eyes fall upon the Snow Queen. You and Peter both watch with worry and hope as he takes out another sword from a sheath - which is wrapped around his body like a saddle - and he lets out a triumphant battle cry. He holds the sword back behind his head and leaps into the air, straight above the White Witch. He swings his sword at her head, but she leans back it is misses her. Oreius lands on the ground behind the chariot with a skid, and quickly turns back to face her. He jumps at her another time and swings his sword, but she knocks it out the way with her long staff. He brings his sword back, and just as he is about to thrust it down into her, she jabs the jagged end of her 'wand' into his chest.
With a small flash of white light, he disappears from sight. You gasp and bring your bloody gloved hand up to your lips *No...* The White Witch turns back round to face Peter's direction, her face still stiff and emotionless.
"Peter!" You scream, making him spin round to look at you "Run!!" You exclaim, leaning forwards so that you can release as much sound energy as possible.
Peter whips round and stares out towards you. Once he sees it is you, his face softens in worry.
He clenches his fists and starts half-running, half-clambering up the rocky slope towards you. You glance back round at Russel and Edmand, and they both nod and look to each other. You look back round and wait anxiously for their arrows to fire.
Within a few seconds, they do... but the Snow Queen manages to block every single one with her thin, glass-like staff *Impossible!...* Her soldiers, however, are not so skilled, and so they are hit immediately and therefore killed. As Peter approaches you, he sees the blood all down your front and on your leg. He leans back up, stopping in front of you, and pants heavily, his wide eyes scanning you with shock.
"Aida..." He breathes heavily.
You look away from the White Witch, onto him, and quickly snatch his hand up in your own "Come on! This battle isn't over yet!"
You turn round, gritting your teeth as more pressure is put into your wound, and you lead Peter further up the rocky pass-through. He follows behind you, running just as fast as you - and that's not very fast, considering how weak you are -, and you dig your sword into the ground with each footstep to help pull yourself along.
"They're losing slowly. Our army has halved" Peter pants "Can you fight, still?"
You nod "Of course. I will not run."
Peter growls softly "I didn't mean it as though you are a coward -- but... look at you!"
A goblin look-alike suddenly leaps down from the top of a large boulder to your right. You gasp and jump back, staring at it with shock. It leans forward and flicks its yellow tongue at you, tilting its head from side to side. You scrunch your nose up again and swung your sword out, slicing its head off straight away. Peter watches with surprise as the body falls limp onto the ground. You look back at him, letting go of his hand.
"Aslan deserves this. I won't quit yet." You pant.
Peter looks at you with concern for a moment, as if asking you to stop... but it doesn't work. He finally gives in and nods. You nod in return and then turn away from him, setting off into a weary walk towards the shouting, growling and clanging area of new fighting. Peter watches you as you come face-to-face with a bat-ish ... thing... and quickly rushes forwards as if to save you, but you quickly jab your sword onto its chest, killing it.
He can see that you can take care of yourself.
With that proven, he feels a little more relieved, and so, rushes off in another direction to kill some more of the enemy. He slashes his sword across the stomach of a snow tiger as it pounces at him, and he jump to the side to allow it to fall onto the ground and not him. He then looks up and around at what's happening...
Everyone on Aslan's side is dying...
A Buffalo-man suddenly breaks a fawns neck, and another one swings it's spiked flail into the stomach of an elf, spilling his blood out onto the ground. He growls angrily and rushes towards them, holding his sword out.
You, on the other hand, are doing very well with the condition you're in. You have to stop every now and then to lean against a boulder and catch your breath, but you're doing fine. You feel much better. It was probably just the first effects of being wounded so seriously. Looking at it and seeing all the blood didn't exactly help, either.
"Aida!" Two familiar voices shout.
You look to your left to see Daniel and Russel running towards you. You smile softly and turn to face them fully, leaning your back against the boulder. They knock a few creatures out of their way with their swords, and within a few seconds are right in front of you. They pant heavily and look over your bloody body with worry.
"You're badly hurt. Do you feel alright?" Daniel asks.
You smirk and cough softly "I feel tired. But I could go on forever, to be honest."
Daniel and Russel exchange looks of relief and humor, reacting to your comical answer. You push yourself off of the boulder and walk in between the two of them, breathing heavily already.
"Shall we?" You softly ask.
"Let's." Russel replies, nodding and looking to Daniel who also gives a nod.
The 3 of you look straight ahead, hold your swords out, and let out loud yells as you take off into a run. Smashing, slicing, kicking, punching, stabbing, pushing, twisting and snapping. One after the other, creatures of loyalty to the Snow Queen die rather quickly. The 3 of you actually make a good team.
The Snow Queen moves her eyes onto the 3 of you, and they flash the silver color of angry ice.
The children that were born for her were right there, slaying their own people right in front of her. How dare you... She snarls viciously and, without even looking at her attacker, manages to stab them and turn them to stone. Of course, you and your brother's aren't able to see her because she is approaching you from behind...
How annoyingly clich. Why can't the important bad-guys just attack from the front? It would be so much easier, and so much more courageous...
I agree.
"To your left, Russ!" You shout to Russel.
Russel spins in that direction, dragging his sword along with him, and it slices along the neck of the dwarf that was about to hit him with his axe. He sighs heavily and looks back at you.
"Thanks." He laughs.
"You're" You pause, spinning and kicking another dwarf with the blade of your boot "Welcome!"
All of a sudden, Russel let's out a gasp of pain. You and Daniel, not fighting anyone at that time, spin round to look at him. White light suddenly surrounds him, making you both squint your eyes for protection, and once it disappears...
He's gone.
You let out a cry of worry and move your eyes onto the white figure to the right of where he once stood. It is the Snow Queen. She pulls her staff back to her side and glares at you and Daniel.
"What have you done with him?!" You yell, holding your sword out to her.
You notice a thin red line along her left cheek bone. It's from where you sliced her with your boot. She smirks carelessly and spins her staff round above her head with one hand.
"I have sent him to my garden of statues..." She replies.
You furrow your eyebrows angrily and take another step towards her, just as Daniel does "Bring him back, or we will kill you!"
She laughs softly and brings her staff to her side once more "Children, you will try to kill me anyway... and even if you wouldn't, what makes you think I would just... bring him back?"
Daniel shakes his head and lashes his sword out at her, but she knocks it away with her staff. She raises her eyebrows and then lowers them in a quick, suggestive style, and lifts her staff up above her head, ready to pierce the tip of it into your body.
"Die... traitors." She whispers.
Just as she brings the sharp tip of her staff down towards your chest, Edmand suddenly leaps off of the higher area of the cliff - shouting loudly - and lands just next to her on her right. She looks at him and swings her staff round to knock him in the side, but he jumps back and dodges it. He then brings his sword down at full speed and smashes the end off of it, causing the spear-shaped end to explode into pale blue glitter.
At this point, quite a lot of people nearby stop their fighting and look to The White Witch as they notice the blue light. She looks up from her broken 'stick' and shoots Edmand a furious look.
She pulls the sharded stick back, and just as she is about to stab it into his stomach, Daniel intervenes.
"Daniel!" You scream as you take in what has happened.
Daniel shoved Edmand out of the way, causing him to fall onto the ground and hit his head - therefore falling unconscious - and the tip of the stick sliced into his stomach instead...
You let out another scream of anger and fear, and she jerks the sharp end back out of him again. He groans with agony, pulling his hands to his stomach, and gives you a look of plead and fear before falling onto his knees, closing them.
Something inside of you and Peter changes from that moment onwards...
You have reached the maximum state of all emotion, and are now ready to fight with everything you were born to give. So what if you were born to die, at least you would die for something good. Peter's face turns into that of shock and desperation, and he quickly begins charging over towards you and The White Witch.
"Now it's your turn, you disgusting little human." She hisses as she turns to look at you.
You send a terribly deep, evil look into her own eyes with your watering ones - a look that you have never been capable of summoning "I would rather be a human than a walking corpse..." You whisper.
This insult really seems to get to her, because she gives a look of utter repulsion and swings the jagged end of the staff towards you. You jump back and slammed your sword down onto it, knocking it away. She snarls with annoyance and uses her free hand to pick up a rock on the higher level of ground behind her and send it flying into your side. It hits your wound and you double over in pain, falling to your knees beside your lifeless brother. Your eyes widen as you look over his body *No...*
Both your brothers. Gone.
You let out a gentle sob and fall onto your side, cradling your side with your arms. The Snow Queen holds the jagged staff above you, ready to plunge it into your neck, but someone suddenly swings their sword into it and sends it flying out of her hands.
You gasp and look up. Peter is standing over you with his sword held out towards her *Peter...* The White Witch looks around with a slight hint of panic, and she soon finds a short sword on the floor next to the boulder. She glides back and sweeps it up in her hands, keeping her eyes locked upon Peter.
Peter releases an angry grunt and jumps at her, swinging his sword. She blocks it, and so he swings again, but she blocks it once more. You try to push yourself up onto your knees, but you only fall straight back down from weakness, exhaustion and pain. Perhaps this really was time for you to sleep... to join your brothers. However, you have enough energy to reach down and pull out one of the very few throwing-stars that you have left. You bring it up to your head and, in an awkward position, toss it at her with as much strength that you can use. She simply twirls aside, and it flies into a boulder far behind her. You let out an aggravated groan *Damn...*
Peter strikes his sword down, aiming for her head, but she steps to the side and it pounds into the earth. She kicks him hard in the face and he falls down onto the ground beside you with a pained hiss. You snap your eyes onto him, seeing his bloody eyebrow as he feels it with his gloved finger tips.
"Peter..." You mutter, as if to say 'don't let her win'.
He glances at you, letting you know that he heard you, and quickly scrambles to his feet. He swings his sword from left to right, forcing the White Witch to slowly move backwards as she knocks his sword away with her own. She passes another sword that is stuck into the ground and snatches it up. To Peter's misfortune, she now has two...
She places them together like the legs of a pair of scissors and thrusts them towards Peter's neck. You tense up and gasp, watching with fright as he leans back and dodges their sharp blades. He quickly leans back up as she pulls them away, and she separates them both to swing them at his head from different angles. But again, Peter dodges them by ducking down, only forwards this time. They smash their swords against each other once more, and Peter quickly twirls to the side as she sneaks one of them round to pierce his side *That's it Peter... just keep dodging. She'll tire soon.*
Peter takes a deep breath in and swings his sword down towards her shoulder, but he stops in mid-action as a load roar bellows through the rocky hillside. Everyone stops fighting and looks to the top of the hill, only to see Aslan standing on top of a large boulder. A tear rolls down your cheek and you smile sorrowfully - unable to smile happily because of the loss of your brothers *Aslan!... He's-- he's not dead!!*
Yay for the big cat *waves a flag*.
Aslan lifts his head up and releases another loud, ferocious roar.
The White Witch stares at him with confusion, surprise and fear "Impossible..." She whispers.
Cheers and roars seep down into the hills as many people run to the edges of the stony platforms. Fawns, animals, centaurs... Anna, Susan, Lucy are there and... and--
"Russel!" You gasp.
They all look down at the scene before them, most of them frowning as they recognize most of the dead bodies as Aslan's army. Whilst Peter is distracted by the sight of Aslan and his sister's, the White Witch whirls her blade out to slice at his neck. He flinches, turning as he catches the glisten of her sword in the corner of his eye, and slams his own sword into it as a blocking defense. You gasp and cock your head back round to watch with anticipation over the hope of the Snow Queen's death. You glance over your shoulder once more, bravely looking away from the serious fight before you, and feel your heart rise with hope as Aslan and all the others charge down the hill towards you *They're coming...*
The new members of Aslan's army swarm the hillside, killing off any enemy that crosses their path. You hear a thud, followed by a loud cry of pain from Peter, and you snap your head back round in complete fear. He is lying on the floor, upon his back, with the tip of the White Witch's sword stuck in his arm. She lets go of it, allowing it to pin him down from how far it has stuck into the ground, and lifts her other sword up to finally kill him.
"N-noo!!" You whimper, crawling towards him.
Just as she is about to thrust it down into his chest, Aslan announces his presence with an angry roar. The White Witch looks up from Peter, just in time to see Aslan pounce on her and fly back onto the ground with her. You reach Peter's side as he tears the sword out from his arm, growling loudly. You place a hand on his shoulder and he flinches, twisting to look at you. You smile with desperation and relief, and he suddenly wraps his arms around your neck and pulls you to him.
"Argh..." You whimper, flinching.
Peter loosens his grip on you, looking down at your bloody side "Sorry..." He says, moving you back.
You look up at him, gripping onto him so you don't move back any further "No... I want you to hold me."
He places one of his gloved hands upon your right, bruised cheek, and just as he lowers his head to kiss your lips, Aslan releases a startling growl. You both jump and look over to where he and the Snow Queen landed.
He has bitten her head off.
*Finally... she's finally dead.* You both narrow your eyes inquisitively as you see people moving past you in an odd slow motion... creating long smears of color as they do so. You glance left and right, looking at them in both fascination and confusion, and you can hear the faint echoes of their shouts and yells.
"It is finished." Aslan softly announces.
You and Peter look back at him, glancing at the dead, headless body of the White Witch behind him. He blinks calmly and gives the two of you a nod. You both close your mouths, finally accepting what has been done, and the slow-motion movements of the soldiers disappear, back into normal mode.
You swallow once more, trying to push the blood down... but something goes wrong. Your throat tickles tremendously, almost painfully, and you are set off into a coughing fit. You pull the back of your hand to your mouth, trying not to let any blood come out. Peter snaps his eyes down onto you, his face filling with realization and fear.
You feel a large amount of liquid rising up your throat, and it's far too much for you to keep down. You quickly turn your head to the side, Peter's arms still around you, and you splutter up a very large amount of blood. Peter glances down at the stained grass, and then at the back of your head.
"Aida...?" He asks, as if asking if you're about to die...
You release a deep, pained groan and lean back into him, sighing breathlessly. Peter's eyes trail down onto your side where he sees the wound much clearer and in more detail. It's bad.
"How long has this been here?" He asks quite seriously.
"At least... 30 minutes." You cough.
Peter shakes his head softly, scanning his bloodshot eyes all over your weak body. You can feel all of your energy and all of your life leaving you with every minute that passes *Is this it now?... Am I to die now?...* You feel a sharp twist of pain from your side and grit your teeth.
"Don't, Aida... just... just..."-
"I can't." You spit through your gritted teeth.
You look up into his eyes, as he does down into yours, and he shakes his head slowly.
You point your eyebrows inwards, tears forming in your eyes. You slowly pull your gloves off from your hands and rest them by your side in the grass.
"Peter..." You whisper, moving your hand up to his face "Can I tell you now?"
Peter places his own hand on the back of yours, helping you to press it onto his cheek "Tell me what?"
"What I was going to tell you... before the battle started... do you remember? I asked you that question?" You softly ask, swallowing or gasping in between a few words.
Peter, gritting his teeth, nods.
You smile weakly, revealing your pale red teeth, and he takes a sharp breath in through his nose. You close your eyes calmly, swallowing with difficulty.
"The answer is..." You begin, your voice very quiet "The answer... why you should accept your feelings... and t-take chances..." You gasp "Is to..." You pause, feeling a deep pain in your chest.
"Please... stay with me..." Peter whispers, shaking you softly.
You look up at him, sliding your thumb against his tired skin "It's the essence... of life... it's to"- You pause once more.
*Just let me say this... and then I'll go with you.* You feel your throat loosen, and you are able to take one last, pure breath in. Peter smiles sadly, watching you with an aching heart and a slightly trembling body.
"To live..." You breathe out.
With that, you release your last breath and feel everything fade away. Your head tingles, like you're suffering from light-headedness, and you hear Peter's voice call out your name. And then...
Life dies.
o.0 I died?...
Here you stand. Where? You're not sure... but you can feel a cold ground beneath your feet, and you can see a bright light in front of you. So bright that you have to squint your eyes. You're dressed in a long white dress, and there isn't a single scrape or smear of dirt on your body.
"Aida..." A male's voice echoes.
You blink a few times, keeping your eyes upon the mighty light "Wh-who are you? What is this place?..."
The light in front of you suddenly enlarges in size, and a strong, warm wind blows past you. Your hair and your dress wave out behind you, but you stand your ground.
"Aida..." The voice calls again.
The voice... it sounds so familiar... You take a step forwards, trying to reach the light.
"Don't come to me, Aida..." The voice requests "It is not your time..."
You shake your head softly "I don't understand... am I-- dead?"
"Yes." The voice answers.
"Then... why do I feel alive? How can I be here, now?" You ask.
"Aida... I cannot keep you now. There are others who need you more than we do, here" The voice pauses, setting a short silence "They are calling you back." The voice softly informs you.
You look left and right, behind you and then back in front of you. All you can see is endless darkness, except for the brilliant light before you. You're terribly confused...
"We shall be together soon, in another life" The voice says "But not today. My daughter."
The light slowly begins to fade, and it becomes smaller. Without you moving, you begin to move away from the light. A face appears through the eerie glow, and your heart jumps into your throat... it's your father.
Your hand shoots out in front of you "Father!"
"Forgive me... not today. I will be watching you... like I have since the day I left." He whispers.
With that, his young face washes away from within the light, and the light altogether fades. You feel your head spinning, and it is as though mixed senses of life and death are battling within you...
A blast of wind hits you like a hard wall, and immediately, you feel fresh, cold air fill your lungs, and you can feel a hard ground beneath you, along with the sounds of crying, running, shouting and breathing. Sun warms your face, and a creamy taste has settled upon your tongue...
You flutter your eyelids open, gasping heavily. There. The blue sky.
You're alive.
o.0 I'm alive now?...
"Aida!" Many familiar voices gasp and laugh.
You furrow your eyebrows, swallowing lightly, and turn your head to look around you. Peter. Anna. Russel. Susan. Lucy. You take in a deep breath and observe their smiling faces. Anna suddenly throws herself onto you, crying hysterically.
"Hey, now... ssshh..." You whisper, placing your hand on her back as you blink in confusion.
"I thought you were dead!" She sobs.
You narrow your eyes, suddenly remembering everything. You had died... but then... *Father... he sent me back.* You feel someone place their hand upon your free one, by your side, and you look over. It's Peter's. You look up into his face, and he smiles lovingly at you *I'm alive...*
A smile slowly grows upon your lips as you take in everything that has happened. You're alive! You're not dead... but alive. Anna slowly leans back, sniffing and wiping her eyes, and you feel many hands help you as you move up into a sitting position. You look around, smiling sensitively at them all.
"Lucy saved you, Aida." Russel says.
You look to him, on your right, and you smile "Russel... you're... you're not stone?"
He laughs lightly, as do Peter and Anna, and he shakes his head "No..."
You then look over at Lucy, and she smiles sweetly at you. You look down into her hands to see a bottle in a red case *Santa Claus... he gave that to Lucy... Juice of the Fire Fruit.* You gasp softly, realizing what had happened.
"It cures any injury, remember?" Lucy giggles.
You look at her, grinning widely, and embrace her in a thankful, warm hug. She returns the hug, smiling proudly and happily.
"Thank you..." You whisper.
"Argh!" Someone growls "What-- what happened??"
You and Lucy away from the hug, looking over in the direction of where the voice came from with everyone else. Edmand is standing up and leaning against a boulder with one hand on the side of his bloody head. Peter, Susan and Lucy smile with relief, and they all slowly stand to their feet. You follow behind them - Russel and Anna helping you up as you're still so tired - and the 3 of you watch the Pevensies embrace each other, laughing happily. Russel starts to look around, as if searching for something.
"Aida..." He says, making you look at him "Where's Daniel?..."
Everything joyous and comforting drains from your body, and your smile fades with it "Daniel..." You whisper, your eyes widening.
Russel and Anna look at you with worry, as if they know what's going on but don't want to accept it. You swallow hard and look over to where Peter and the other's are. They slowly look away from each other, over onto you, and then they look to the ground a little way away from them. Your eyes travel to where they are looking and they fall upon the lifeless figure of Daniel, lying along the side of a tall boulder.
"Daniel..." You gasp.
The 3 of you rush over to him, tears filling your eyes right away, and the Pevensies run with you. You and your siblings fall to your knees once you reach him and you look over his lifeless body, sobbing quietly. His eyes are closed, and his arms are resting by his sides, revealing the bloody area of his dark grey tunic.
"Daniel!" Anna cries.
You look to Anna, right next to you, and she starts to cry once more. You frown deeply and slip your arm around her shoulders, allowing her to lean into you and cry on your shoulder. You look back down at Daniel, tears rolling down your cheeks *It should have been me... it should have been me.* Russel looks away and rests his forehead on the edge of your shoulder, sniffing softly. Susan, sitting by his head, starts to cry also as she strokes her finger tips along his cheek. You look over his tired, blooded body with dark sorrow.
"Bring him back..." Anna sobs "Please, Lucy..."
Lucy, looking terribly confused and guilty, shakes her head "I... but he's..."-
"He's dead... Anna." You sob under your breath, looking away from his body and over at Peter.
You move your blurry, reddening eyes onto him, and he looks at you with shock and sympathy. You let out another soft sob and close your eyes, slowly shaking your head as you lower it and kiss the top of Anna's. Peter frowns as he watches you cry, embracing your little sister.
Lucy's Fire Fruit Juice wouldn't be able to do anything. It can only heal wounds... not bring back the dead... but then--how did you come back? Was it really your father, or was it the juice?... But--even if it were your father who saved you, if he would want to save Daniel, he would have done it by now... or maybe he just can't.
The Fire Juice is useless now... he's already dead...
...Or...
Or...
Is he...?
Now Daniel might be alive??... But I thought he was dead?!... -_-'
As usual, the rest is in the results. I hope you've liked it, for it'll be the end soon... < .< >.>
*sighs* I know...
You furrow your eyebrows and reach your hand out to his neck. With a few seconds of hesitance, you press your finger tips to his glands. They're pulsing. Pulsing! Pulse = life! You take a deep, sharp breath in and pull your fingers back, smiling round at everyone.
"He's alive!" You laugh with surprise.
Everyone's face lights up with shock and hope, and they all look back to Lucy. She pulls back the lid of the bottle and crawls towards Daniel, hovering over his legs. With one hand propping herself up, she moves her other one - which is holding the bottle - to his lips and tips it forwards. The yellowy liquid runs to the rim of it, and a single drop spills over it and falls into Daniel's half-open mouth. Lucy leans back, watching in anticipation with all of you.
"Come on..." You whisper.
Anna tightens her grip around your arm, starting to cry once more. His eyes aren't opening... his breathing isn't becoming any more obvious... Peter glances at you, and then back down at Daniel. You're all waiting... hoping... praying.
Mournful silence drifts over you once more... but it breaks as a small cough floats out from the back of Daniel's throat.
...He's alive.
You all break out in happy sighs and laughter, watching as he closes his mouth and slowly opens his eyes. Susan places her hands on either one of his cheeks and leans down, kissing his forehead sweetly. Daniel blinks a few times and looks up at her, a smile immediately forming on his lips.
"Welcome back, Dan..." You sigh.
Susan leans back up, stroking bits of his black, messy hair, and then helps him sit up. He looks around at all of you, clearly very confused and on edge. Anna literally throws herself on him, hugging him tightly, and you look to Lucy to give her a 'thank you' look. She smiles in return, and you then look to Peter. He smiles rather affectionately, as if to say 'now we can live happily ever after'.
And that is, more than likely, what was going to happen.
You look back down at Daniel, wiping your tears away with the back of your hand *We lived... See Ryo? Jadis?... We lived.*
