That "Demon" Sorta Love~[[An Inuyasha Fanfic]]((Chapter 1))
Yay, Chapter one! X3 Hope you like it, everyone!!Prologue ~
Long walks in the forest. These are what make me calm and controlled. No matter how I’m feeling: hyper, depressed, or angry, long walks help me unwind and feel much better. With all of the inconveniences in my life, I can be found on a walk in the forest daily. It’s only because people come and go while my heart breaks and mends. And then there’s school and the people there that make me stressed. Sometimes I don’t even know how I handle it all. But enough about me, I need to get on with the story.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that my name is Sylvia. I have long brown hair and bright green eyes. I’m kinda shy, but I’m also pretty funny. But I’m not as important…What’s important is where I’m about to go, and the adventures I’ll have. With that person, the one that I love. Wonderful.
Chapter 1 - Lord Sesshomaru
Simply wonderful.
Guess what happened today? My dad got in a car crash. Of course it was my dad, the only one that ever spent time with me. The only one that ever seemed to care about me. He didn’t survive. My mom is too busy at work to care, and my brother is too mad to accept it. I sat at the computer and found my eyes watering. I heaved myself up and walked over to the window.
Rain.
Everything is wet. I can’t go for a walk in the forest today…But I will anyway. I slipped on my old tattered sneakers and and white T-Shirt that said “Death Note” on it. I slipped on my maroon sweatpants and my teal hoodie that said “Miami Dolphins” and stepped out the door. I only did so because nobody could stop me. I let out a deep sigh and stepped into the rain. Cold. Wet. Wonderful.
I slowly walked up the street, and I remembered that my iPod was still in my hoodie pocket. I felt around, and sure enough, it was there. I shoved my earphones in my ears and played my current favorite song, “Wake me up when September Ends”. I got to the forest and started weaving in and out of the trees. My hands started shaking and my tears were starting to mix with the rain. But then the phrase that made me want to die came into place. I stopped in my tracks and made a dead stare at the muddy ground.
“Like my father’s come to pass; seven years has gone so fast…” My iPod sang. I squeezed my eyes shut and clenched my fists.
“No…” I told myself, shaking, “Just don’t…c-cr…” and then I burst into tears. I almost fell to my knees, but anger rushed through my body and I couldn’t contain all of this adrenaline. I made a full-out sprint toward nowhere. I weaved between trees and jumped over rocks. I didn’t want to go home. I just wanted to run away from everything. I just wanted to scream, but I was running out of breath from running.
“Wake me up...When September ends…”
I heard a strange unfamiliar noise. It almost sounded like I’d gone through a portal or something. My breathing was still choppy from crying, and I opened my eyes. I kept running, and running…
I screeched to a halt when I saw a figure in the distance. It looked like a human, but it didn’t feel like one. In fact, I was pretty sure that ahead was some kind of demon…But, no…That’s impossible. It’s probably just some guy…standing in the middle of the woods…
Staring at me.
I paused my iPod and shoved the headphones in my pocket. What’s that thing on his shoulder, wait, no, why doesn’t he have an umbrella? Then again, I don’t have one either.
“Hello?” I called out to him. I could only watch as the silhouette took a step closer, but no response. I started wiping the tears away and looked up into the sky. The rain was settling down. Good thing, I was getting cold.
“Please, answer me!” I called, but he just stood there. What is he thinking? Well, I had no choice. I stepped closer. He was getting closer, and I could see long silver hair blowing majestically in the wind, and there was something on his shoulder…An armor of some sort? No, it looks too soft…I peered through the heavy mist.
Is that fluff?
…I think it’s fluff!
I walked closer, and I could see his face. An icy glare…directed at me. A shiver went down my spine.
“Excuse me,” I asked, “Are you lost, or something?” I asked, and, without realizing, my voice broke. He jolted a little and I guess he was spacing out before. Finally, he speaks.
“Whatever you think the reason is, there is never a reason to cry like that,” he said coldly. For once, I didn’t care about his name for a second, and I wanted to know why he was being such a jerk.
“Who said I was crying?” I snapped, and a light blush flew across my face. He only chuckled quietly.
“Don’t kid yourself, human. We both know you were crying over something that doesn’t matter. The exact reason I hate humans like you,” he said, and it sent a surge of hatred through my body. At this point, I didn’t care what he thought of me at all. I just wanted to tell him off.
“You bet your sweet ass it matters!” I growled, not even realizing that I hadn’t even learned his name and I was already cursing at him. He released an amused smirk.
“So you think my ass is sweet?,” he snickered, glancing over his shoulder. I saw a little green toad-like monster standing behind him.
“Waahh!!” I shrieked, faltering back, “What is that thing?!” Its eyes narrowed and stepped up from behind the man.
“I am Jaken, and Lord Sesshomaru should be respected with your utmost respect!” the toad shrieked, jumping around like it was on something illegal.
“Like I need to listen to you” I growled. The little toad monster, I think his name was Clothespin, or something stupid like that, went on some kind of rampage.
“Respect, insolent human!! RESPECT!!” he shrieked, bouncing up and down. I sighed.
This is going to be some journey.
