"NICHOLAS JERRY JONAS!" I yelled playfully as he picked me up and spun me around. Oh by the way my nameis Emma. I stillremember the day I met Nick. I was5 years old now i'm 18. We're best friends, but I always wanted to be more. I was just afraid that if he turned me down, it would ruin our friendship. Anyway, after he put me down his cell phone rang and my laughter stopped. "Hey baby!... Oh... Ok... Well I guess i'll see you-... Oh you can't tomarrow eaither?... Oh... Ok... Bye" Was all I heard. "Was it Valerie?" I asked "Yeah she cancled on me again. You wanna go see a movie or something?" "Yeah sure, since I have nothing else to do. I wouldn't have anything else to do anyway, I have no life!" I said trying to make him laugh, I didn't work. "Ok well let's go then." I stated then we left the park we where at and got in the car. When we got to the movies Valerie was there with some other guy kissing a laughing. Nick saw her and I saw the hurt in his eyes. "Do you wanna talk?" I asked "No I kind of figured it." He stated and walked out while wipeing a single tear. I got to the car and saw that he was crying. I drove him home, I hated seeing the man I love crying like that. The man I love. That sounds weird. I got to our appartment that we shared; he was about to move in with Valerie. He ran to his room. I went to mine.
~The Next Morning~
"Hey" Nick greeted meas I was makeing breakfast "Hey! You want some breakfast?" "Sure." He stated blankly. "You feel a little better?" I asked putting his plate down and sitting in the chair next to him. "Yeah a lot better." He said smileing at me. "Good." Then about 10 minutes later I looked over to see Nick stareing at me. "What are you stareing at?!?!" I asked laughing. "You" "Really. And why are you stareing at me Mr. Jonas?" I asked. "Because last night I got a reality check." He said putting his plate in the sink and walking up to is room; me following. "What do you mean 'reality check'?" "You'll see." He stated. Then he looked under his bed and took a piece of paper, it was all tattered. "From finding this piece of paper. I realized that girls have always been more romantiic then boys." He stated then I sat on his bed. "You wrote it for me in third grade and gave it to me right before I left to go on that trip with my parents for a week. I didn't understand it then but I do now." He said then I read the note. this is what it said.

"Yeah I remember the day I wrote this." I stated. "Ok now I realize that I love you Emma and I know you have loved me for a long time. And my heart has always felt the same way for a while too." I asked as we where cuddleing on his bed. "I broke up with her and she took it well but w she was still mad. Did you think of something to do yet?" "How about we go to our place." I said turning to him. His hand was on my hip and mine wasover his neck playing with his hair. "Sounds fantastic!" He said then we jumped up and hopped in the car. When we got to put place which was a cliff near the forest.Wecalled it our cliff, I know weird but it was where we met. Our parents wanted to see the view and they brought us and we hit it off.Then we met again at school so we dicidedto become best friends. I was leaning on the bar by the edge looking over the sceanery. When I turned around Nick was on one knee with a red box in his hand. Then a smile swept over my face for the millonth time today. "Emma, I love you and i've known you for almost my whole life. And I know we just got together and we're only 18, but I think i'm ready to be comited to you and only you. Then he sliped the dimond ring on my finger. "This looks like my mom's?" I asked more then said. "That's because it is, you would always tell me stories about how you wanted it when you got married."
