I would like to apologize for the 2 days delay. I know I promised to publish it at November 5th, but I didn't had internet then... at least not stable enough. I'm in a period of exams/tests/essays so I can't say when the next one will be out. But don't worry, we are far from the last chapter of Genesis: In The Beginning Of Time! Enjoy, Chapter 10 - The Demon of the Mists!
You were getting ready to go, just as soon as Bankotsu gets back from the river. He asked for some time on his own and you respected his wish.
“______-sama,” Renkotsu spoke, “I heard from Jakotsu, you were the only one who fought Bankotsu-o-aniki.”
“I suppose,” you say, “I met him after Jakotsu.”
“So is he strong?”
“We he did defeated me, so he us suppose to.”
“That is an easy task,” Suikotsu says. Suikotsu was the name given to the doctor, because one of them was sleeping inside. He had 2 minds in one: one good and one bad. For now, the good one hadn’t shown up a lot, but even if it does, the sight of blood will make him change evil again.
“You say I’m weak, look who is talking, Mr. I-will-save-the-girl!” you get piss.
“Want a fight, wench?”
“Bring it on!”
“As much as I want to see your powers,” Renkotsu says, “I want to know, what the power of our leader is.”
You looked at the direction where Bankotsu was supposed to be, even if you couldn’t see him. “I want to know his limit as well. It seems no human is able to mach him…”
“It seems no human is strong enough for him,” Renkotsu says, just what you were thinking. “We need a demon.”
You look at him and nod. Without saying anything you jump on the nearby tree. You were to find the demon that is said to be around here. At nightfall you found her.
She was tall and beautiful. Her skin was blue, with crystal eyes and with long aqua-green hair, shining at the moon light.
“I smell…” she says with voice, like refracted though water. “…a human woman.”
“My gender or race doesn’t matter,” you say as you bow down as a sign of respect. “what matters is that I’m a messenger.”
“Oh, and what is the message for me?” she giggles.
“There is a young ambitious human warrior, who is seeking for you, to prove his strength.”
“Oh ho ho… A human, a male even, thinking he can defeat me… I think to go and meet this man myself…”
Suddenly a mist covered everywhere, and disappeared. It was time to get back to Bankotsu and enjoy the battle.
You find Bankotsu before the demon. You try to not show in front of him but useless.
“So, here you are,” he says not looking at you, “We decided to go without you, since you could find us back. I knew you didn’t run away…”
“Bankotsu,” you speak calmly, “the demon is headed your way.”
“A demon?” he was surprised.
“The Demon Mistress of the Mists wishes your death. Now it’s the time to prove your power to your followers.”
Bankotsu stops and look down.
“You… send a demon after me…”
“So what if I did?”
Before he could say anything else the forest filled with mists.
“She is here,” you say in the same voice.
Without even noticing the mists got so deep that even Jakotsu and Suikotsu who were standing one next to another couldn’t see each other.
“Which one is the foolish man that wants to fight me?” a voice came as from everywhere.
“Dunno what you are talking about,” Bankotsu says while looking around, “but if you want a fight, I will fight you.”
“Let it be so,” she says, “you foolish mortal!”
She made an attack with her right hand somewhere from the mists. That’s why she was so strong. She just hides in the mists; the heavy air that it created was spreading her sounds of both voice and movements. You wanted to watch how he was doing.
Suddenly the mists faded until they fully disappeared. You saw the death body of the female creature on the ground. Her right hand was cut and was turning into water. Her head was also gone. Everything turned into water and soon there was no trace of her. The only thing left was a blue crystal on a necklace. Bankotsu picked it up with the edge of his blade and passed it to you up on the tree. You grabbed it.
“Beauty goes to beauty.”
“After sending the demon after you, you give me gifts?” you say wondering what he is planning.
“Just keep it, and let’s go back on our way.”
He walked back while everyone was looking after him. He, a child, killed this demon for no time.
You got to the village and found a nice inn. Strange how you didn’t have to pay for the rooms, after Renkotsu had a nice talk with the inn keeper.
(What actually happened was…
“You see there, old man,” Renkotsu said with calm face and nice smile, “we are not paying. We are actually doing you a favour for not burning down your in.”
He burned two chairs near by with his technique. I guess that was enough for him. Well after sending several guards who ended in the graveyard dirt.)
After the nice meal which was ‘a gift’ from the inn keeper, along with sake as much as they wish.
“Now that was nice!” Bankotsu yawns. “I think to go to have some sleep.”
He grabs you for the behinds, winking at you and saying: “I may have some fun before that.”
You try to slap him but he grabbed you with his other hand.
“No need to strangle~” he smirks. “We will both enjoy it~”
“O-aniki,” Renkotsu clears his throat, “would you mind telling us the story of how you killed the demon?”
Bankotsu smiles, pulls you close to his chest, and puts his hand on your head.
“What do you think you are doing?” you ask pissed trying to move away with no success. Not that you didn’t like it, you just didn’t want to accept it was nice.
“Just making you suffer,” he smirks.
“Nice one Bankotsu,” Suikotsu laughs.
“So… How I defeated her…
‘There I was inside the mists. I couldn’t hear anything from where it comes, and see even less. I had to trust my instincts. She attacked me with her hand but I dodged it, since I felt her coming after me. I lost no time and cut her hand. The rest was easy. In the dark forest of cold colours, I could see her worm red blood, which was drawing an image of her, enough for me to cut her into pieces. Ended up that I was the one attacking her…
‘She tried to attack me with some quite nice katana blades, you would have liked them, girly, but they turned into water as soon as I separated them from her hands.
‘She was nothing hard to fight her, really, I don’t know what the fusel around her was and why you chose someone so weak, girly.
“If this is how you punish me for finding you a weak demon,” you mumble, “I can’t imagine how you will treat me if I got you someone stronger.”
“If you did get me someone stronger, I wasn’t going to torture you.”
“You mean…”
“I mean I’m not torturing you for trying to find me a challenge. I punish you for not trying harder.”
He got up while pulling you for the hand.
“Let’s go.”
You reach your hand for help from the others but they were scared of Bankotsu. Each one of them had imagined in there minds, while Bankotsu was telling the story, how they would have done her. They all ended in fail…
In his room he pushed you on the covers and went over you, pinning you for the bottom. You didn’t even try to run, it was impossible.
“Who made you?” Bankotsu whispers in your ear.
“What?” you ask surprised.
“You won’t think of something like that on your own. Someone gave you the idea. I don’t need name, I just want to know.”
“Fire…”
“I knew it,” he smirks. “Isn’t he a cleaver one?”
“You have to admit, they never saw there leader fight. They had to know how strong you are!”
“I don’t want them to fear me.”
“What actually happened, Bankotsu? You didn’t tell the truth.
“Oh, and why you think that?” he starts to kiss you around the neck.
“Because, she doesn’t bleed with red blood…”
He stops and looks in your eyes.
“Undress,” he says and gets up from you. You do as he says, like you didn’t have a choice. He starts taking off his as well.
“She didn’t bleed,” he says. “I cut her hand but she putted it back to her. I couldn’t see her, it was true, but then something happened… Banryuu, felt her, he trembled at her attacks but not from fear… no… from desire to kill her… Suddenly, I felt the Banryuu as it was my hand, it was blocking her attacks, and I just had to hit her…
‘I may be going insane, but this halberd is alive.”
Fully naked he goes under the covers next to you. He looks you in the eyes and runs his fingers though your hair.
“And when I killed her… I felt it, becoming stronger…”
Believe it or not, this is over 1500 words. It looks so short =\ Wish I could make it longer, but the stupid demon ended too weak u.u Oh well... I don't know when the next one will be ready and published, but check up recently after November 13th. It won't be published until then.
In the next chapter: The popularity of the 5 mercenary spreads, and the Shichinintai get there first mission. What it will be, and who will they meet? In Chapter 11: The First Mission Of The Shichinintai.
