The next day I laid in my bed and didn’t move. Riley brought Lacey in my room with me. Riley and Lacey laid down next to me. Lacey snuggled in between us. Riley whispered, “You can’t stay in bed the entire time she’s gone C.J. Hayley would want you to not think about her and be sad sweetie. Come on were going to take Lacey to the park.” She stood up and I got up and got dressed. My whole family went to the park it was nice. We had a picnic and played with Lacey.
I was lying on the blanket with Lacey sitting on my stomach when my phone rang. It was Hayley. I was so happy to talk to her but it was only for a few minutes. She called to say that she loves me and that she misses me. I smiled sadly as we hung up. I sighed and shoved my phone back in my pocket. I tickled Lacey and told her that Hayley loves her and misses her. I didn’t know that Riley had gotten me tickets to go see Paramore when they can back to town. We packed up and went back to the house. I put Lacey down for a nap then grabbed my skateboard and went out back. I had built a mini half pipe last summer and Hayley helped. That’s when I knew I was in love with her. I climbed up and dropped in the pipe. At first everything was ok I was pulling off some awesome tricks and then it happened. I fell and landed on my arm the wrong way. I screamed in pain and everyone came running out back. Aiden picked me up and they rushed me the hospital. I had to get three x-rays on my arm. I broke my left arm in four places. I had to have pins installed and then be put in a cast. I called Hayley while I was laying in the hospital bed. I smiled when she picked up and said, “Hey babe. Guess what I broke my arm in four places when I was skating today. No, Hayley don’t cut the tour short I’m fine. I miss you though. Do you want to get on webcam later so I can see you? Sweet that will be awesome. I’m really ok Hayley. I’ll see you in two months ok I’ll be on later I love you bye. Sorry I woke you up hun.” I hung up and smiled a little. The Doctor said I had to stay at the hospital for a few nights to make sure I didn’t have a concussion. Riley brought me my lap top and said shed take care of Lacey for me. I got on and so was Hayley. We got on our cams and talked to each other for a while. Hayley didn’t have to perform tomorrow so she said that she would stay up and keep me up so I wouldn’t fall asleep and die. I was happy that she said she’d stay up with me. We were smiling and laughing. It was like she was right next to me but she wasn’t.
A few months later I was out of the hospital my arm still hadn’t healed fully. Hayley’s phone calls got shorter and shorter. We hardly talked any more. She was going to be back home tomorrow night. I was excited because I missed her. Riley told me to get ready. I got dressed and she blindfolded me. She took me to the Paramore concert. I didn’t know there was one because Hayley was keeping it from me as a surprise. Riley and the guys drove me to Hayley’s hotel. They took me to her room and knocked on the door. She opened it and kissed me. I didn’t know who I was kissing because the blind fold was still on so I pushed her off me. She took it off and said silly. I grabbed her and we made out for ten minutes. She smiled and I helped her get ready. I had back stage passes I was so excited. I was here with the girl I loved and was going to see her perform. Nothing could go wrong could it?
