It was the night of the first concert of the tour, and after was a big pool party at the home of some millionaire who was sponsoring the band and happened to live in that city. There was so much getting ready to do. The entire day, the guys were buzzing around doing wardrobe, sound, talking to the media, basically way too much to try and fit into a day. And since they didn't exactly have time to fix themselves meals, that was her job. She brought them all breakfast, lunch and dinner. She also sat in on rehearsal and helped them organize which songs they would play in which order. The day came and gone and soon the sun was setting.
The best part for Summer was that everyone was so busy that she and Quinn hadn't talked all day, which meant they hadn't talked about what had happened.
The concert was even worse than the rest of the day. She was filtering in VIPs and making sure that no one else got in, she was the one with the list. Also, she was running errands between backstage and the sound board, and also checking ll the vendors to see how much they were selling, and it was just mass chaos. Though, in the end, it was all worth it, because they were a huge hit and the concert itself went by without a hitch.
The guys were still chatting happily about it on the way back to the bus. Not even Joe was sore with Summer anymore, because she'd done such a great job. The first one to compliment her, of course, was Ryan.
"Great job," he said, patting her shoulder.
"Yeah, Summer you were awesome," Matt said, ruffling her hair. She scowled at him, swatting his hand away and was about to correct him on her name, but gave up, he wasn't going to listen to her. She just laughed a bit as he laughed loudly.
She went in and found them all their swimming trunks and threw it to them, they'd change out in the main area since they really had no problem getting naked in front of each other, it was like the showers in high school. She changed into her own swimsuit, it was a simple black bikini. She put on a skirt and a tank top over it then went out to join them after getting the all clear from them. The limo that was taking them there arrived and they too put on a shirt. Quinn had a tighter black shirt, Matt wore a white t-shirt that clung to his chest around his muscles. Ryan put on a gray shirt that was baggier and Joe's shirt said something that made Summer laugh. It read "please tell your boobs to stop staring at my eyes."
They arrived in a limo, hearing screams immediately. They had to divide and conquer. If they stayed together as a band, everyone would clump around them. Summer's job was to locate the host and inform them that the band arrived. After asking around, she found him.
"Mr. Judd?" she asked.
"Yes?" His eyes scanned her frame.
"My name is Summer," she said, shaking his hand. "I'm with Rest In Pieces."
"Oh, great! They're here then?" he asked. Summer nodded then escorted him to see them.
"Okay, so Quinn is over there, Matt is that way, Ryan is over by the pool and Joe's in that pack of women," she said.
"Thank you, I'll just go talk to Quinn for a bit. You enjoy yourself," he said with a wink. "Oh, maybe I'll see you later tonight."
Summer just walked away with a polite smile.
The rest of the night, she floated from band member to band member. She hung out with Ryan in the hot tub for a long time before going to check up on Joe and Quinn. She was sure where Matt was, but she'd find him later. A group of girls who had seen her with the band talked to her and asked her some questions, they were very nice and she made quick friends, but she was pulled away by a voice in her ear.
"Come with me," he said, a gentle hand at the small of her back, guiding her towards the edge of the crowd, towards the house. She didn't recognize the voice, but that was probably because it was whispered and she just let them guide her. Every time she'd peek back to see who it was, they'd push her forward as if to make sure they hurried and she never caught a glance. Finally, they stopped just outside of the house and she was turned around, her back pressed up against.
"Who the hell are you?" she asked once she saw his face.
"Dave," he told her simply.
"I don't know you, why did you bring me over here?" she asked.
"Well, because you let me."
"I didn't know who it was, I thought it was someone I knew!"
"Don't deny that you've been making eyes at me all night, I know I've had my eye on you," he told her. She thought maybe she'd seen him once or twice, maybe met his gaze once.
"You're-" she'd been about to say "crazy" but he kissed her, pushing her up against the wall. She tired to push him away, but he was much bigger than her. She couldn't pull her face away, he was holding her head firmly to his. She couldn't kick him, all of her frame was firmly beneath him, and her arms, trying to hit him and pull his hair did nothing. She screamed against his lips, but it was muffled and the music made it impossible for anyone to hear. She grabbed his hair, trying to yank it hard enough to hurt him, but he just wouldn't stop. His weight pushing her against the wall, it made it hard for her to breathe. She was trying to gasp for breath, but his face squished against hers made it hard to take in air at all. He pushed against her harder so that he could let go of one hand and run his hands down her body. He then made a little bit of space between them so that he could slide his hand to feel her chest.
Matt was walking out of the house after taking a short tour with the host. Mr. Judd had to talk to some of his guests and Matt head back outside. As he passed through the doorway, something caught his eye. A couple making out against the side of the house. He wrinkled his nose in disgust, they were really going at it, people just shouldn't do that in public. Then, he saw that he recognized that red hair. "Hey, Summer, you should probably get a room," he yelled with a laugh.
Summer heard his voice and her eyes snapped open from clenching them closed against the tears. Yes! Matt! She reached out for him desperately, trying to make him see that she didn't want this to happen. Dave grabbed her hand, trying to pull it back, but had to pull away from the kiss a bit to do so and she managed to turn her face away. In trying to stop her from turning away from him, he dug his fingers in, but she still turned and his thumb nail made a scratch on her cheek.
"Matt! Get him off me, please," she begged him in between gasping for breath. However, Matt was already way ahead of her, he grabbed the guy by the shoulder and turned the guy roughly to face him. Then he punched him square in the nose and the guy went down. Matt swore, he couldn’t believe this guy. When he turned to look at Summer, he saw she'd slid about half way down the wall and he took her shoulders, more gently, holding her upright.
"You okay?" he asked. She nodded. "Come on, lets get you inside." Since he sort of knew the way around now, he led her to a guest room and sat her on the bed. "Okay, I'll be back, I'm going to go talk to the other guys and get you a cab to take you back to the bus."
"Oh, you don't have to-"
"Really, its fine, just wait here, I'll be right back." With that, he was gone. Summer sighed, looking down. Maybe it was a good idea she goes back. The whole day had been exhausting, never a moment's rest, and of course she would have been super tired from the party, but that was just too much. She laid back. He'd be back soon, she'd just relax until then. Maybe she'd rest her eyes a bit. Just for a second…
Matt found Joe and Quinn, still hanging out close to each other and he pulled them both aside. "You'll never guess what just happened. Some asshole was kissing Summer, and she couldn’t get him off. I mean he was seriously pushing himself on her. But I broke his nose, so we're all good. I'm going to get her a cab. I thought I should let you guys know so you don't go looking for her after she's already gone. Joe, you want to go tell Ryan?"
Joe nodded, not seeming too affected by it, he just went to do as Matt asked, but Quinn stopped him. "Tell him that we're leaving," he said.
"What? I don't want to leave," he said, irritated.
"We are not staying at a party where our assistant got sexually harassed at," he said, and when he put it that way, no one could deny that he was right. Joe sighed. "Alright, fine."
Quinn head for the house, but before he let Matt take him to see Summer, he found the host. "Hey, you better start filtering who you let in and out. One of your guests pretty much molested our assistant. Don't expect us at one of your parties any time soon." With that, he stormed away, and Mr. Judd didn't know whether to chase him or try to comfort the people he'd been talking to. However, he chose the latter since Quinn and Matt were already out of sight.
When they got to the room Matt had left her in, Quinn opened the door. "Ready to-" he stopped before he said "go" when he saw she was asleep. Matt looked to Quinn, but he was just watching her, obviously debating whether to wake her or not.
"I've got it," Matt said softly before going to the bed and picking her up. She didn't wake, only stirred and wrapped her arms around his neck, then she was still again.
