I love Him and His Melody {A DBZ Tapion short story Pt. 7}

You sprang up and ran outside flying behind Vegeta.
"Vegeta are you sure?" you asked pretty worried.
"Of course I am, otherwise Kakarot's son wouldn't of called to tell me!" he shouted.
You flew even faster, feeling both worried and suspicious. Not only were you flying in the direction you and Tapion went but the monster hasn't attacked in a long time except for now.
'Did Tapion really do this?' you wondered.
Even if he did you didn't want to tell anyone. You'd protect him with your life even if it meant lying to everyone around you.
Vegeta noticed the look on your face and showed a look of both suspicion and anger on his face. He wanted to know what you we're hiding.
He stopped flying and tightened his fists.
"Hey just what are you hiding!" he shouted.
"what...I'm not hiding anything Vegeta." You said.
"Don't lie to me woman!" he glared.
"VEGETA I'M JUST WORRIED NOW LETS GO!" you shouted flying ahead.
Not only did Vegeta grow more suspicious of you, he also seemed betrayed. He wanted to keep a close eye on your actions to see if you'd do anything stupid.
You both flew towards West Hercule city and met up with Goku and the others. Gohan and Videl were already there trying to put out some of the fire on some of the buildings and so where Trunks and Goten although they looked like they were playing more than helping. Goku turned to you and Vegeta and let out a heartily chuckle and waved.
"Hey!!! 'bout time you guys got here." He laughed.
"Kakarot what happened did you find that beast thing?" Vegeta asked.
"No."
"WHAT! SO THEN WHY DID YOU CALL ME HERE?" he asked.
"well I thought it was an attack. You see Chi-Ch- was making me my 8th plate of dinner till I had this sense and well that's when we called you up and got here." He explained.
Vegeta just looked at Goku dully and a gave out a loud growl.
"Relax Vegeta at least nothing bad happened to the city." Videl assured.
"What are you talking about! Half the city is on fire and we don't even know how it got that way." Vegeta shouted.
"Well look on the bright side, at least no one was hurt." Gohan chuckled.
"Yeah!" Goku laughed.
Goten then laughed too making Videl, Vegeta, Trunks and you to glare.
"Uh what's wrong?" Gohan asked.
You all just sighed and tried to help the city like everyone else. You floated down gently to the burned part of the city. This filled you with overwhelming guilt as you walked through the city. You gasped when you saw a car hurriedly rush down the street and stop right in front of a shop. A woman hopped out and began bawling her eyes out.
It was the old hyper lady crying over what was once her most precious thing to her. She saw you and ran over to you almost falling over herself. She fell next to you and began saying things you couldn't quite understand. Kneeling next to her you patted her back and looked at her sorrowfully.
"My shop....my only shop is gone....." She cried.
Goku then ran over and saw the lady.
"Excuse me miss but it's too dangerous for a lady your age to be in this city in such bad condition." He explained.
The lady looked at Goku and his goofy smile. She then retaliated and shouted at him and hitting him with her purse.
"How dare you I'm not old!!!!" she shouted.
You smiled knowing that she wasn't as sad as you assumed, you backed away slowly and ran off and then flew to the chop shop factory. It couldn't of been a coincidence that the same exact place you and Tapion hung out was the same exact place that got attacked.
Cold winds were hitting your face as you approached the shop, still abandoned with no one in sight. Before you descended you looked around to see if anyone was following you and thankfully no one was.
You descended quickly and ran inside angrily.
"TAPION!!!!" you shouted running in.
Immediately Tapion sprung up from his usual spot, then he ran over to you.
"______ whats-"
Immediately he was cut off, by a tackle from you. You grabbed the scarf around his neck and raised your fist.
"Y-You....Why did you do it??" you asked.
"What are you talking about?" Tapion asked.
"The attack on west Hercule city! Why did you summon that monster to destroy it." You asked.
His eyes widened only for a bit then he turned away. This hurt you deeply.
"I thought you we're a hero, your only hurting us....why Tapion...I-I trusted you...so did Trunks.."
He looked at you with his sad green eyes and then sighed.
"So are you going to hit me or..... what." He asked.
"Tapion...." You mumbled.
You charged up a ki blast in your palm and then stuck the concrete near his face. Tapion didn't flinch he only continued to stare at you.
"Are you done?" he asked.
"Tapion why are you so cold?" you asked, your eyes beginning to water at this point.
You began to cry on his chest and beat on his shoulders, you never thought your intentions could be so wrong about a person.
Tapion sighed.
"I don't know why you and Trunks keep calling me a hero...I'm not...and I never was..." He explained. Tapion lifted you off of him and walked over to his usual sitting spot. You sat where you were and continued to listen. Tapion unsheathed his sword and lifted his ocarina from his sash.
" I was left with something that would protect the people but...unfortunately it was placed in the wrong hands. I can't protect anyone..." He mumbled.
"Tapion....are you summoning that monster or aren't you?" you asked.
Tapion only clutched tightly onto his ocarina and then looked up at the hole in the ceiling. He then clipped his ocarina back onto his sash and sheathed his sword as he walked over to you.
He knelt before you a caressed your cheek which was totally out of Tapion's character to you. He looked only in your eyes which made you blush a bit.
"Do you... think I'm summoning that creature?" he asked.
"...I don't know." You answered.
Tapion only stared which continued to make you blush. Then you didn't know if your eyes were going bad or what, but Tapion was slowly leaning toward your face making your heart race. He of course heard it and smiled. You began to close your eyes and wait for his lips to meet yours but you heard a familiar voice.
"Hey what's going on is _____ hurt!" Trunks shouted running over to you guys.
Tapion of course pulled away a bit and began to act as if you hurt your cheek.
"I'm fine Trunks, when did you get here?" you asked a little nervous.
"well just a little while ago, I noticed you weren't around when we were cleaning up the town and I just assumed that you came here." Trunks explained. "Tapion did you see what the monster did to the town?" Trunks asked.
"As a matter of fact I did, I was there before you guys." Tapion answered.
"So you chased away the monster!!" Trunks shouted happily. " Your so cool, your such a hero, Tapion did you ever consider having a sidekick."
You chuckled as Tapion was just looking a little lost. Still laughing you stood up and waved at both the boys.
"I'll see you guys later 'kay its getting late.." You explained.
You headed out of the factory and flew off into the sky and stopped when you saw West Hercule city. The city didn't look all that bad seeing how Goku and the others cleaned some of it up so that was the good thing. You descended down to a building and sat on the ledge looking at the distant moon.
Tapion couldn’t escape your mind.
"Was he really trying to kiss me?" you wondered touching your lips.
All these thoughts wandered around your mind as you looked into the stars. Time passed and little did you know it was getting super late although something disturbed you.
"something doesn't feel right..." You mumbled.
Instead of flying to Goku's you instead flew in the opposite direction back to capsule corp.. you knocked on the door, which Vegeta opened and he looked a bit shocked to see you but in the end he spoke.
"What are you doing here girl I thought you'd be at Kakarots by now." He glared.
"I would but I was already on my way here so I'm glad you opened the door." You chuckled making your way in.
The further you walked in the louder you heard someone snickering, once you made it into the kitchen you saw an excited Trunks in the kitchen making a sandwich.
"Hey Trunks what are you still doing up?" you asked.
"huh? I thought you were sleeping at Gotens?" Trunks said changing the subject.
"Yea I was thinking about it but I don't feel like flying that far, I'm going to bed." You sighed.
"No wait!!!" Trunks shouted.
You turned to Trunks and he looked a little nervous as if he was hiding something, this made you glare at him. As a reaction Trunks ran off and you chased him leaving Vegeta to groan.
"Trunks just what are you hiding!" you shouted.
"Nothing, it's nothing big...."
You continued to chase him until one of the hallway doors opened. You stopped but not soon enough, because you ran into the door and fell back on the floor.
"huh oh _____ your staying here tonight?" Bulma asked opening the door all the way.
" why is everyone asking me that?" you asked annoyed.
Just then Tapion walked out of the room Bulma was in. Your eyes widened as you rubbed your forehead.
"Tapion what are you?-"
"Oh Trunks brought over this guy, I suppose this is the culprit that has been brought food from time to time." Bulma smirked.
This made Trunks chuckle nervously and try to hide the sandwiches he prepared.
"Oh so I suppose that's why you made those sandwiches for Tapion." You said to Trunks.
"yeah..." Trunks chuckled.
"Oh ____ I think you should join us in this conversation Trunks you go to bed, but thanks for the sandwiches." Bulma laughed as she took the plate.
"Hey no fair mom, I wanna be apart of it too!!!" Trunks shouted.
"come on Trunks go to bed your too young to be up this late." You smiled.
"no fair." Trunks whined.
"Trunks." Tapion began. "it's best for you to listen to your elders, get to bed, all hero's need their rest."
Astonished that Tapion said that you just stood there and waited for Trunks' response. He showed a small goofy smile.
"Okay if you say so!" Trunks laughed running off.
Both you and Bulma sighed with a slight chuckle and then went into the room. Bulma sat on a small couch while you sat next to Tapion on a lengthened couch.
"Okay so what's up?" you asked.
"Well I just found out from Tapion that he's been trapped in that box for over 1,000 years." Bulma said seriously.
"really!?!" you said.
"yes, and without sleep." Bulma added.
You looked at Tapion and he looked more awake then tired, but then you suppose he's had 2,000 years worth of training to stay up.
"I'm surprised you don't have insomnia." You said.
Tapion looked away and Bulma just chuckled.
"She means that as a joke Tapion. But, if it helps, I can analyze those pieces of the box that we'd freed you from and make a chamber your size so you can get some leg room and sleep peacefully." Bulma smiled.
"Really!!" Tapion asked shocked.
"yup, but in return you'll have to hang out with my little Trunks, he obviously looks up to you and it will be fun for him." Bulma added.
"It's a deal." Tapion smiled.
"Alright, then it's settled, I'm tired and I'm sure you kids are as well, oh but what am I saying, Tapion you’re a lot older than me aren't you." Bulma chuckled.
Tapion smiled and then opened the door and left the room. Bulma looked at you and smiled.
"good night." She said giggling.
"oh good night Bulma." You said running out of the room.
Talking to Tapion would only make you nervous so you went to the guest room and went straight to sleep.
The next morning you woke up peacefully; happy that Chi Chi wasn't around to ruin your sleep. You went to take a shower, and you didn't even bother messing with your hair so you left it down. Then you changed into some nice Capri's, sneakers a nice tank top and a very baggy brown jacket and headed downstairs to get something to eat. Bulma was already preparing breakfast, she smiled when she saw you.
"what's with the look?" you asked curiously.
"Have a good sleep?" Bulma asked ignoring your question.
"oh it was pretty good." You answered.
"Any sweet dreams~" she asked.
"shut up Bulma." You mumbled. "say where's-"
"Tapion, he's outside with Trunks. Their playing." Bulma interrupted.
"I wasn't even going to ask where he was, I was actually gonna ask where Vegeta was, he's usually up around this time!!!" You exclaimed with a blush.
"Right...well I don’t know where Vegeta is, I haven't seen him since last night." Bulma sighed.
"Whatever I'm going to check on Trunks.." You mumbled.
"Don’t you mean Tapion?" Bulma asked with a smirk.
"Shut up Bulma.." You growled.
It was just as Bulma said, Trunks and Tapion were indeed playing. Trunks was mostly running around Tapion as he walked and explored Capsule corp. Just then Tapion sat down and let out a lighthearted sigh.
"Trunks don’t you ever get tired?" Tapion asked.
"No way I have lots of energy...literally!!" he laughed.
Tapion laughed softly and then turned slightly, and saw you.
"you must have a lot of energy as well seeing how your playing with Trunks." You added.
Trunks laughed but then turned to you.
"Hey what does that mean!??!" he asked.
"relax its not offensive Trunks." You said.
"Hey, your wearing these clothes again." Tapion asked pulling your jacket.
You blushed and pulled away.
"yeah I like these clothes." You said.
"I like them too." Tapion said with a smirk.
