Emily:
-Recap-
"Josh" I whispered. "Is that you?"
He nodded, smirking that same old smirk that used to make me weak in my knees.
And, after all this time, that smirk still had that affect on me.
I so was amazed by the way he still had some control over me. I thought I was going to faint.
"Did you miss me?" He asked, still smirking.
And I just couldn't reply.
Then everything went black
-End of Recap-

I felt two strong hands grasping my shoulders. I heard a muffled "What the hell did you do to her?!". The strong hands shook me. It hurt. My head was pounding and the shaking was not helping. I wanted to yell at whoever was shaking me to stop. But I couldn't find my voice. I used the strength I had left to openmy eyes. My vision was blurred at first. But then as my eyes adjusted I saw who was shaking me. I touched his soft blonde hair.
"Braiden." I whispered. Regaining the ability to speak.
The shaking stopped. Thankfully.
"Em?! Oh thank God!!" He exclaimed.
I saw the tears in his eyes and wondered what had happened to me. He must have seen the confused look on my face because he answered my question.
"Sweetie, you fainted. I still don't know why." He shot Josh a death glance. "But when you fell, you hit your head pretty hard. You've been unconcious for about a half an hour."
As I processed the news, I tried to sit up. I winced at the pain I felt in my head. As I brought my hand up to my head, I tried to find the area where it hurt most. Luckily there wasn't any blood.
I lifted my head up to see the people who were huddled around me.
Everyone was there except Mark and Ellie.
"Mark didn't want to leave. But Ellie made him. She insisted." Braiden said, reading my mind. I nodded, feeling confused and hurt.
Then I looked at Josh. Guilt consumed his face. He knelt down and gave me a suffocating hug.
"Are you okay?!? You fainted after you saw me. I just wanted to surprise you and-" He stopped because I placed my index finger on his soft lips.
I shook my head.
"No. Josh don't make me relive it. I already feel pathetic enough." I mumbled.
"I know. I'm sorry. But I can't help but feel a teensy bit flattered." He smiled.
I gasped.
"So you feel flattered that I fainted when I saw you?!" I said. " That's great. Just great."
He laughed.
"Don't laugh at me!" I shouted jokingly, a smile appearing on my face.
He smiled back.
"You haven't changed at all, have you?" He said.
I nodded my head.
"Of course I've changed! Do I still look like I'm in highschool? I think not." I argued.
He looked at me intently.
"To tell you the truth, Em, you scarily still look 18." He laughed.
"I do not!" I smiled. And he smiled back.
"I missed you, Em. And I keep wondering if you've forgiven me or not." He mumbled.
"Forgiven you? For what?" I asked.
He looked at me, astonished.
"You don't remember? Oh, you must have hit your head pretty hard!" He laughed.
"Remember what??" I asked impatiently.
"Junior year? When I almost ruined everything between you and Brandon?" He said trying to trigger my memory.
"Its Braiden." Braiden corrected him.
"Whatever." Josh replied. "So do you remember?"
I sat there for 5 more seconds. And then I remembered.
I burst out laughing.
Josh looked at me like I was crazy.
"Oh my god! You still think I'm mad at you for that?!" I giggled. "Come on, Josh! It was years ago! I'm over it!"
I kept laughing until Josh joined in.
Soon enough everyone was smiling and giggling softly.
I finally got my breath.
"To answer your question, of course I forgive you." I said.
I pulled him in for a hug.
"Thanks." He muttered into my shoulder.
Once we broke apart, Josh had a serious look on his face.
"This means we're best friends again, right?" He inquired.
I nod.
"Yes, stupid." I laughed.
I got up and smoothed my dress.
"You ready to go, hun?" I asked Braiden.
"Go where?" Josh answered.
I laughed.
"Not you-hun. Braiden-hun." I replied.
"Yes. Lets go." Braiden said, throwing another death glance at Josh.
I elbowed him in the stomach.
He nodded.
"Take care, man" Braiden said, voice strained.
Josh nodded, wincing.
"Bye, Em. I'll you tomorrow with plans to celebrate." He said.
I nod.
"Now wait just a minute! We have other things to do." Braiden argued.
"Not anymore." Josh said.
I laughed.
"Lets go." Braiden mumbled.
"Kay. See you later, Josh." I said.
"Yes you will." He replied.
I blushed.
And Braiden and I walked out to our car in silence.
