~Death~
"Lakin!" I yelled when I saw her.
She was screaming, crying, and pounding on my front door. I ran to her. I tried to pull her away.I grabbed her waist but, she waspersistent onpounding on the door. She keep screaming and I fianlly pulled her to me, into a hug. She was hitting my chest with her fists. She gave up in a minute or two and she crashed to me and into the hug. She looked up at me. Her angel brown eyes were red and puffy. She perfect noise was red and on the end it was shiny. Then rest of her face was pale. I tried to wipe the tears with my thumb, like I had done with Rini (but it was in a more passionate with Rini, my love, *sigh*). But like with Rini, I couldn't make the tears stop or even go away.
"I can't believe you! You'd rather see her then to comfort me. Your best friend!" Lakin screamed at me.
"My dearest, what happened?" I asked. Now I was worried.
"My. Brother. Committed. Su- Su-..." But she couldn't say it.
I knew what she was trying to say though. Suiside.
Lakin's brother was 24. He's name was Thomas. He looked just like Lakin. Brown eyes, brown hair. He was nice but, troubled. He did a lot of... wrong things. He drank consently. He was on drugs. He cut himself and he didn't care for anymore but, Lakin. She was his real only reason for living. He became the way he was after the crash that killed her. He was driving. And he was driving to fast to show off for her. He hit a patch on ice and he slammed into the gaurd-rail. He never had forgiven himself. I guess that he just couldn't live with himself. I would miss her talking about him. All the funny stories. All the non-sense talk between them. It was like having my own siblings. I was an only child when I was living.
Your probably wondering how he was still 24 and Lakin and I have been best friends for 60 years. It's simple. Time moves fasterin Here.
"Lakin, you're brother-" I started to say, but she interupted me.
"You never gave a damn about my brother. You only cared about her." She was still screaming.
"I cared very much about your brother. But, I didn't know about him doing this. And I couldn't skip a chance to see my lo-" but yet again.
"Don't call her that! Don't say that! You can't! You can't love her! You live her Here and she lives on earth." She hit me in the chest again.
"Lakin, my friend, I do love her. She is my life."
"No, don't say that! Don't say it, Death!-" It was my turn to get the say in things.
"Why can't I love her?!" I said strenly.
"Because I loved you more than she does!" At this she slipped out of my arms and flew(as in running) out of sight.
Is this true? Did she... love me? No, she couldn't. Lakin could not love me- Death. It's not possible... is it?
This is Lakin at her current and forever age of fourteen.
This is the last pictuer of Thomas. My he rest in peace.
