One saturday night it was the night before lauras tenth birthday her dad had be in prison for 3 years now she was living with her aunt jane and her husband they had no children but 3 dogs and 1 cat and 4 horses.
They had so much animals and laura loved animals she was happier than she had ever been before but she knew uncle james had just lost his job and aunt jane wasnt doing to well either so she had alot of helping to do on the farm on this night as usual she went out to lock up the horses.So when she came back they could set the party table and then watch television as they always do.
This time laura went out.
She did not take the torch but had the garden light strangly the garden light never came on when she walked up the path to the horse shed.
She heard squeling in the bush and thought the cat dodger was stuck when she went to check a very tall man in black grabbed her legs and tripped her.
He then lifted her on to his shoulder and ran.
Laura kicked and screamed her aunt heard her and ran out to check on laura.
Laura was gone her aunt told her uncle and they searched they called the guards and they came but a year went by and little laura waz now eleven and nowhere to be found.
Everyone thought she was in heaven with her mother.
But then it was noticed a jailor had escaped the same night little laura dissapeared it happens that the jailer was a rapist and a friend of lauras dad.
Lauras dad paid this man alot of money and gave him alot of drugs.
Meanwhile while the search continued.
Laura was locked in a basement.On her own.
She would be allowed out the back of the basement under the guys watch. for 10 minutes every month.
She was kept like as cat she did her toilet in a litter and eat out of a dog bowl.
Laura was so unhappy
Whenever this strange man had partys if something went wrong he would beat or cut laura.
This hurt her one day as soon as the mans phone rang she ran out of the basement and realized she was in her old house she looked out the window and seen her old bestfriend aoife she banged and banged but it was no use.
Laura didnt realize the guy was standing behind her and she shouted "A MANIAC HAS CAPTURED ME HELPPPPPPPP!!"
He said: "you think im a maniac well darling im keeping you safe for your dad!"
I dont mean to hurt you but he said this is what your mum would want
Laura got angry she was heart and out of energy but she screamed my mother hated him he beat her..
i love her i need her.
He ignored laura's piercing cries and through her back in the basement.
Everyday she was fed bread and water but no more was she allowed out.
She was no 12 and still locked up.
That day another strange but smart looking man found her he ran to her and hugged her.
Laura stood stiff dizzy who was this guy? she wondered.
Then he said "Laura babe,i'm sorry.Its okay now daddys back.
Those words hurt laura and she was so frightened..
What has this awful man done?
Laura broke free and said
him your worse.my mothers dead because of you.
"No laura you dont understand im your biological father your mother left me when she was pregnant you never knew this because you called the guy she was with the killer your daddy!!
Laura cried"really,are you going to make me away bring me to a house keep me safe?
can i see auntie jane?
He replied im very sorry laura i will take you to my house and keep you safe but auntie jane was murdered last year about 11 weeks after you died.It seems that your uncle was the murderer and he is in prison.
Come on, my car is outside.
I'm also a police officer laura.
Her dad whispered.
He cuddled her in the car with a big blue blanket she fell asleep and woke up with a nightmare of some one about to slit her wrists..!!!
"ITS okay laura your safe with me!

Now laura lives with her dad,stepmother,2 sisters and one brother she is the youngest of all but not for long as her stepmother is due in januarary thanks for reading lauras story.
