Hakushaku to yosei story [part 1]

”Dear Lydia, I am hoping you'll be back pretty, pretty soon from California!”

It is the start of a letter I am writting. I am sitting on a library, which is owned by a rich royal house or rather say, the Earls house. I sat here with a small light from the lamp. It is dark outside and also the inside, and the cold feeling of something would show up, as I am writing this letter.

“Aw… Lilly! I didn’t know you would be missing Lydia this much!” said a blond hair and unbelievable annoying guy, sneaky behind me and reading my letter. He then, took my letter to have a better view of it, as I desperate trying to get the letter back.

“Edgar-sama, should I turn on the light now?” ask another guy, his voice was quiet far from where I and this Edgar is. I could tell he is standing beside the door, sweatdroping over our so call little "camp."

“Edgar, please! Give me that letter back now, thank you?!” I said, as Edgar ignored me saying:

“Thank you for reminding me that, Raven. I couldn’t see this clearly what she wrote, but Lilly! Didn’t we told you were the switch of the light is?” ask Edgar, as the same time. The light are on and I could see the two “sparkling”, handsome boys. One of them were shinning more than the other person, but that was because he stood by my side. I felt like my eyes were going to be blind.

“Tama... I mean, Edgar. Could you please handle me the letter now?” I said again and sighted.

“Do you care for the letter more than me? How sad you’re treating me! The letter cannot breath nor can it tell you stuff!” said Edgar, while he gave me a sad look from his eye. I looked on his eye, his marvel purple eye of Zero from Vampire Knight, got me worried that it would turn red anytime.

“But at least I can share things to the letter and tell secret to it. And when I don’t feel like it to be told, I can burn it away anytime!” I said, and took the letter from him. Raven came up beside Edgar, and I see him spacing out while walking up to us.

“Lydia would be back pretty soon, so by now. You’re the replacement of Lydia’s job for me as a Fairy Doctor! So enjoy your stay, Lilly!” said Edgar. I didn’t listen to what this guy has to say, as I looked at Raven who was looking around, confusing.

“Raven? Are you alright?” I asked, as I looking at him, worried.

“What a different treatment you and Lydia are giving me -.-?” said Edgar. But Edgar’s eye was too focusing on Raven, as he sees the worry and spacing out face of him.

“Raven! You haven’t been yourself since that incident.” Said Edgar, Raven then looked up at me and Edgar, but his eyes and face were not together as normal yet.

“I am sorry, my lord” answered Raven, and bow with a shameful way.

“Hmmm...” said Edgar in a playful way. “I have decided Raven. Could you take a journey to California and protect Lydia without her knowing you’re there for my sake?!” Raven got out from his bubble thought, and looked at Edgar a little shock.

“But Edgar-sama...”

“This is an order that I don’t wished you to refuse, Raven. Please go, and don’t worry about me for once a while. After all, I have this girl to protect me!” said Edgar playful as ever.

“So you’re depending on girls now, aren’t you? You’re coward or something?!” I said, annoyed.

Raven could never refuse Edgar’s order, as I have learned. When I first came to this mansion, the Earl’s palace, Raven told me the first day about his soul and his need from Edgar, which I have no idea what he is talking about. I wonder why he is telling me this, and every time I see him, and looked at his eye. Those dark green eyes were filling with sadness.

“Lilly? What’s with you spacing out too? Oh, don’t tell me you’re thinking about me now?” ask Edgar, as he was holding my hand now and were to kiss it.

“Yeah, right! Have fun with playing with the book!” I said, as I was already leaving.

“Tsk, really fast to change things, eh?” said Edgar, as he smile a little and watched me out of his sight. “Lydia, how are you now I wonder? I hope you’re not lonely without me, as you are with him now. Thank you, as you always are there to help me, even this, to let me know about your friend.”
