Privet Life II

In the passing days Marianna slowly got her strength back, she had finally moved into her brothers house after hours of arguments. She spent most of her days in bed staring at the ceiling or in the garden sitting in the grass. Her brother had tried to get her back to work or at least out of the house ad around the town but to no avail. She seemed nervous most of the time and when he spoke about her job she closed up completely. No one in the family knew exactly what she did, she told them she worked in retail but when he had tried her work place there was no record of her ever working there. Marianna insisted that he had obviously got the company wrong and told him to leave it alone.

It wasn’t until someone came looking for her that her brother finally found out what she did.

Marianna sat in the back garden with her brother with a smile on her face, for the first time in a long time she felt better. She felt safe and ready to take on the days again.

“Its nice to see you smile Marianna,” her brother said taking a sip of his coffee

“Its nice to be able to smile,” she said returning the smile, “Luke, don’t you have want a girlfriend?” she asked out of the blue.

Luke was shocked to say the least he hadn’t even thought about it.

“I don’t know, maybe someday, but I need to look after you I cant go off in a relationship while your still recovering.” He said with a sad smile

“I’m ok with you getting a love life, don’t put it aside to take care of me,”

Luke’s reply was drowned out by the sound of glass shattering, the two siblings shot from their seats and into the house towards the sounds. Marianna recognised the voices before she saw the faces and dragged her brother around a corner. She looked around carefully and saw a group of men stood by the front door.

“Look everywhere I want that girl stood in front of me now!” Yelled a young man stood in the middle of the chaos that had taken over the living room.
