"It's so big and amazing" You contiued as Inuyasha lead you in the gates. His mother sat near the entrance of the castle.

You and Inuyasha went around to the side, it had the same look as the front, but there was a big tree perched there. What caught your eye though was the person sitting beneath it.

You just kept staring at the person who was like - another Inuyasha, in a way. However, he had silver-ish hair with a tint of blue, pointed ears, -which reminded you of elves you heard of in stories - two red strips accenting each side of his cheeks, with a purple crescent moon on his forehead. You couldn't tell what colour eyes he had because they were closed, but if you had to guess, you would definitely go with gold.

Suddenly, you felt yourself stop, as you still had your arm around Inuyasha's shoulder. You turned to him and saw that he wore a surprised expression; which made you curious.

"Are you okay, Inuyasha?"

He didn't answer, and you saw his eyes grow wider. When you looked to the tree, which he was staring at also, you saw the person beneath it facing you both, eyes open wearing a bored expression.

You all stayed there, staring at each other, Inuyasha being the only one who seemed awkward with the situation. "You look alike, are you brothers?" anxiety sneaked its way into your voice. "What's your name?"

"We have to see about your-"

"Isn't it rude to ask someone's name before introducing one's self first." The cool low voice cut Inuyasha's words short.

For a moment you were stunned, before a cheery smile graced your lips and you spoke. "My name is Kasumi, I'm Inusyasha's friend" Inuyasha in turn looked over at you, amazed that you still knew he was there, but that went unnoticed by you as you kept your eyes trained on the boy underneath the tree.

He got up from where he sat and walked towards the direction of the house. "I am Sesshomaru."

You watched him leave and then turned to Inuyasha, seeing his eyes downcast. "What's wrong Inuyasha? Why didn't you talk to your brother?"

He didn't answer and you left him until he decided to speak. "Sesshomaru is my half brother. He doesn't like me..." Inuyasha trailed off; his eyes focused on the ground.

For a moment you weren't sure of what to say and you kept looking at Inuyasha to see if he would continue. He didn't. "I'm sure that's not true, Inuyasha"

He shook his head as he kept his gaze downward. You leant forward a bit to read his expression. His eyes were a mixture of hurt and anger? Suddenly, Inuyasha met your gaze; it shone with childhood innocence and a little shyness that had been there the first time the both of you met. The prior emotions washed away as he looked at you. "We can go inside and fix your foot now."

You just nodded, and the both of you went inside; Inuyasha supporting most of your weight.

"Wow~" The single word escaped your mouth as your head turned this and that way to inspect the room you were in. The inside of the house was even bigger then the out, and even more beautiful with all the decorations.

Inuyasha and his mother entered the room accompanied by a third person, who you couldn't see well from behind the two in front.

Inuyasha went over to the only window in the room and looked out while his mother-whose name you found out to be Izayoi, after Inuyasha told you on your way in the house- walked over to your side. You stared at her the entire time. The kind smile on her features made you smile in return.

It was only when you felt something brush against your ankle that you looked down. What you saw scared you. "Ah!" You fell back but Inuyasha's mother caught and a worried looked adorned her face.

"What is the matter, Kasumi?" You stared at the thing in front of you. It was not human, you knew in an instant. It wasn't like the birds that had attacked you when you first arrived but it still scared you. It looked like a boar, but it walked upright, and a horn was perched at the center on its head. It, who was most likely male stared at you with disdain, it regarded Izayoi with the same look when she addressed him. "Can you please leave a moment? It would seem your presence is not received well by our guest." The creature got up, even casting a look at Inuyasha before leaving and muttering something under his breath. Neither you nor Izayoi heard, though her expression showed that she knew what it was, and Inuyasha scowled as if he had heard all too clearly.

You kept your eyes to the floor; much like Inuyasha had done earlier, with your hands over your chest. Inuyasha's voice broke the short silence but you didn't look at him. "You were afraid of him. Why aren't you afraid of me?"

It took awhile to understand what Inuyasha was talking about, then you remembered; his ears. You weren't afraid of Inuyasha. You shook your head. "...You're my friend Inuyasha, you helped me when I hurt my foot." Then realization hit. "I'm sorry, that person tried to help me too, and I got scared instead of thanking him."

"He was just doing it 'cause it was an order. You shouldn't be sorry!" You looked up at him, confused for a moment. His eyes held determination, but you didn't know what for. "They don't like us." That sentence hung in the air, you had no knowledge of this world, you didn't know what the words meant. You weren't aware of how far away from home you actually were.

A hand came around you in an embrace, and you saw the same motion being done to Inuyasha, who now stood close, and knew it was Izayoi. The two of you looked up at her; her eyes downcast and sad; a look you thought her pretty face shouldn't wear. But the hands stayed in place, as if to protect the ones that were held within them.

"We have to get you home."

"I can carry her."

"No Inuyasha, it is much too late. You can not wander alone, okay."

Inuyasha gave up and nodded. You listened to Inuyasha and his mother as you looked out towards the side of the house. Seconds passed before you saw a familiar figure turn the corner, gracefully. A smile lit up on your face as Sesshomaru approached. He looked uninterestedly towards the three of you, and Inuyasha looked towards the floor.

"Sesshomaru, would you accompany Kasumi to her village?" Sesshomaru's lips turned down ever so slightly. He was being requested to accompany a human. He knew he would have to do it, as the one doing the requesting was his father’s current mate. "I know you are a skilled warrior and would be able to protect you both." Izayoi smiled at him; the smile that probably won his father's heart, but Sesshomaru didn't even acknowledge it. He simply turned on his heels and walked towards the gates. You followed happily.
