>>>|.::Chapter Fourteen::.|< <<

She stared solemnly at the marble ground; her breaths uneven and her eyes teary. Gazing down at the palms of her hands, she choked back a cry. Falling down to her knees, scraping them, her eyes turned emotionless; the joy she almost developed over many years vanishing from existence. She turned to the brown-haired girl who was uneasily shifting from side to side, the girl’s face ridden with sorrow and grief. She converted her eyes back to the floor, her hands shaking and her heart thumping against her rib cage. With one silent sigh, a tear drop escaped her midnight blue eyes.

"He’s dead," she told herself, wishing it wasn’t true. "He’s dead, and it’s all my fault."

Syusuke’s dead.

My only family...gone.

"Lelouch! Suzaku!! Where is Sakiko?!" the blonde-haired girl barked, pacing around the student council room with her teeth gritting together. She stomped in front of both the boys and jabbed a finger on both their chests. "Did I not tell you do find her?! I thought my orders were clear enough for you idiots to understand!"

Lelouch shot an accusing glance at Suzaku, making Milly glimpse at him with a scornful glare twinkling in her cerulean eyes.

The rest of the student council members had already went back to their dorms. It was almost 12:00 midnight, and none of them had the intension span to wait that long just for one person. Milly, being the head of the council, stayed back just in case both Suzaku and Lelouch had brought Sakiko. After two hours since the rest of the group headed back to their bedrooms, Milly hid two knives in her wooden, plywood desk. She was ready to stab Lelouch and Suzaku if they didn’t come in the nest 30 minutes, whether or not if they did actually bring Sakiko. Her patience already snapped a long time ago. Lucky for them, they came five minutes early before the 30 minute mark.

"Suzaku, tell me...Why isn’t Miss Kurisutaru with you? After two hours of waiting, why haven’t you brought her to the meeting?" Milly’s voice stayed unusually calm which made Suzaku slightly worried. Didn’t she have one of those angry spaz attacks just a moment ago?

‘She must be bipolar...’ Suzaku thought.

Chuckling quietly to himself, Suzaku shoved his hands into his dark green pants and smiled elusively.

"Sakiko...I..um..she.. Lelouch.." Suzaku stammered nervously, "Lelouch didn’t...I didn’t...We didn’t know where Sakiko’s dorm was. We searched everywhere!!"

"We would have known if someone didn’t have the stubbornness to go ask the damned directory!" Lelouch spat angrily, joining Milly with the glares. Suzaku slumped against the auburn, orange walls and smiled innocently.

"I’m usually a calm person, but 5 hours...? I think you both need consequences," Milly bitterly announced, plodding to her desk to get two stacks of documents consisting about 50 pages of endless paperwork. "I want you both to fill this out to the best of your abilities. I want it tomorrow morning before the first period bell rings. The document should be neat and clean. It should be filled out with black ink. Smudges are not acceptable. If you do manage to get some smudges, you better find yourself a white out pen." Milly chucked one packet at Suzaku and then the other at Lelouch. They both caught it, fortunately...

‘I bet she’s too lazy to fill out this paperwork herself...’ Lelouch thought, his eye twitching, ‘Yeah...that’s Milly for you..’

"You don’t expect us to finish all of this in just eight hours?!" Suzaku managed to choke out, gagging as he quickly skimmed through the documentary. Lelouch nodded in agreement, having the same bewilderment expression that Suzaku had.

"You should have thought about that before hand," Milly numbly replied. Eye bags already developed under her blue eyes as stress marks appeared on her forehead. Gathering all her tote bags and slinging it over her petite shoulders, Milly peered at the guys and gave them both an encouraging smile. "Don’t worry, though! If you’re lucky, maybe...erm, no....You’re both basically stuck, but have fun, boys."

When Milly exited the room, Lelouch gave Suzaku a bizarre, tired scowl.

"Thanks a ton, Suzaku," Lelouch sarcastically thanked. "Thanks a freaking ton."

"No problem, buddy."

"I really...really don’t feel like putting up with your crap, C.C..."

The green-haired girl giggled and absentmindedly popped a piece of chocolate into her mouth. By the lovingly sigh Sakiko heard, C.C. probably enjoyed the mouth-watering taste. Of course, C.C. discovered the secret stash of chocolate that Sakiko hid in one of her wardrobe drawers. It was hard to think that C.C. was still amazingly skinny, considering all that chocolate she basically slaughtered in her mouth. But, this happened routinely. C.C. would show up in Sakiko’s dorm, rant about all that Geass shit, and then have a little search party through Sakiko’s refrigerator.

‘Thank God I didn’t go grocery shopping in town...’ Sakiko silently thanked, watching C.C. mindlessly chew on her 7th chocolate bar. ‘How the hell can she finish seven bars in just 5 minutes...?!’

"And I appreciate it if you stop eating my chocolate bars," Sakiko scowled, confiscating the chocolate bar that was already 3/4 eaten and tossed it into the trash bin. C.C. shrugged and propped herself on the edge of Sakiko’s bed, wiping the melted chocolate from her lips with the corner of her white-beige sleeves. Disgusting....

"About the–..." Before C.C. can finish her sentence, a shoe attacked her face. Apparently, Sakiko accidentally threw it at her. Sakiko wasn’t exactly famous for her hand-eye coordination, that was obvious. Rubbing her forehead that suddenly turned a slight pink color, C.C. glared at Sakiko who was flicking dirt from underneath her nails, a tiny smile plastered on her face.

"Geass?! C.C., I thought we already discussed this..." Sakiko mumbled. "Listen, I really don’t care about this Geass. I don’t really care if it can preform ‘miracles’, and I absolutely DO NOT care if—."

"I’m not talking about the Geass, princess," C.C. sighed, brushing her green bangs from out her golden-honey eyes. "I’m talking about your brother..."

Silence.

Virulently growling at C.C., Sakiko’s hands bolted around C.C.’s neck as C.C. choked back a quiet whimper from the lack of breath. Anger lingered in her midnight, blue eyes as Sakiko tightened her grip. It wasn’t like Sakiko to actually choke a person, but the sudden mention of Syusuke struck a nerve. The death of Syusuke was still stricken on her guilt, and it was unbearable to tolerate. Before C.C. showed up, Sakiko actually got some notions of suicide— but disregarded them. Suicide— it was only a cowardly way to die.

The homicidal glint still sparked in her eyes as she released her death grasp on C.C. Caressing her neck, C.C. peered at Sakiko in shock. She was stunned by her anger.

"Don’t you ever mention Syusuke again," Sakiko hissed, clenching her hands into fists.

C.C. widened her golden eyes, smiling at an idea that popped into her mind.

"You’ll do anything to bring him back...your own family back," C.C. pressed, knowing it should strike yet another nerve.

‘She practically asking for her death throne!’ Sakiko thought, outraged with C.C.’s facts. It was true. Sakiko would do anything to bring them all back. She knew it was impossible, though.

Sakiko grunted and clenched her hands tighter, her nails drilling into her palms, making specks of blood show.

"Shut up, C.C.!"

"You’re all alone...no family, no—."

"I said, SHUT UP!"

"I bet you miss your mother," C.C. tempted, grinning maniacally as she watched Sakiko pound her fist into her dorm wall, leaving a unnoticeable, yet small dent. Her body shook as every bit of wrath and regret seeped from out her heavy breaths.

"Don’t talk about her," Sakiko snarled, whipping her body around to turn and face C.C.; Sakiko literally pounced on C.C. as her hands once again contacted C.C.’s neck, "Or...I’ll kill you." Still having that maniac-derange grin on her face, C.C. pried Sakiko’s hands off of her neck and crossed her arms against her chest.

"What if you can bring them all back..." C.C. suggested, smiling broadly to see those dark blue eyes widen.

"What?! Y-you’re delusional, C.C.!" Sakiko accused.

"You’ll see their smiles. You’ll see everyone. You’ll have your family back," C.C. noted, walking painfully slow towards the entrance door to Sakiko’s dormitory room, "Wouldn’t that be delightful?"

"Stop, C.C...stop playing mind games and tell me—."

"What if you had the ability to do all those things? To do all those miracles? To end the war between Japan and Brittania. To avenge all your loved ones...The power of a goddess, perhaps?" C.C. paused to look at the tears that were forming in the corners of Sakiko’s midnight blue eyes. Sakiko’s breathing was unusually uneven, yet it was music to C.C.’s ears. It was so easy to toy with Sakiko.

‘Struck another nerve...’ C.C. thought, happy with her accomplishment.

"You have the power to do everything, Aki. Even bring your precious mother back, along with Syusuke and Hoshiro. Your father can also be reunited with—."

"Tell me."

C.C. stared at Sakiko.

"Pardon me..?"

"Tell me how to bring back my family," Sakiko repeated, her voice hoarse and dry, "What do I need to bring them back...."

A soft-spoken smile appeared on C.C.’s face.

"Your Geass."

End of Chapter Fourteen.

I can’t believe I finished this in 15 minutes. This is like a... new accomplishment for me! YAY! Okay, yes, I know I haven’t been updating, but I had an extreme writer’s block. I didn’t know what else to write about, but luckily, I figured something out. It was about time I should uncover the secrets about Sakiko’s Geass, so I guess you can name this chapter important! Erm...important, yet crappy. I’m sorry if I haven’t put in that many details to this chapter, but you know me...I’m a lazyass, I’ll admit it =P! Haha, I’m sorry I’m late on this, but...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
