Chapter 1- The end
Hi my name is Rosanna Sarah Simons, but you can call me Rose. I’m a foster child and Today, 31st of May, is my 17th birthday and the day I’m moving back to Forks. Yes I said moving back, that’s because I was born there. 12 years ago, my mother and father were killed in a car accident and I was sent off to Seattle Childs care. Back to the forks subject, Ruby, the head of the orphanage, has been looking for a nice family or caring mother for me, like a birthday present. Well you guessed. That’s why I’m moving back to forks. Ruby had an interview with a woman in her 30’s, she’s had a divorce with her husband that cheated on her, and she’s always wanted a teenaged daughter and came hear to Seattle. She seems like a very shy, caring, quite, understanding mother. Looks like Ruby and I made the right choice.
Her name is Natalie Campell and is waiting for me outside as I grab my bags and say my goodbyes. I was going to miss everyone! Billy, Ruby, Jack, Chloe, Jazzy, Lizzie, Jason, Shayne, TJ and most of all my little Rebecca! She is 6 going onto 7 but this year I won’t get to see her grow, learn, play around, laugh or watch her sleep as I hold her in my arms and sing her Twinkle little star. Rebecca stood at my old bedside, clutching her dress with massive tears swelling up in her eyes; I felt tears creeping up in my eyes, too. I opened my arms wide out for her and she ran to my warm embrace sobbing. I picked her up as she hugged me like a koala bear hugging its mother; I placed my hand on her soft hair and cried with her. Then everyone joined the hug making a group hug. “Rose, Natalie is waiting, we haven’t got all day girl” Ruby called for me and everyone let go for me to leave. I looked at everyone and then closed my eyes while turning around, like taking a photo in my head and never letting it go, but before I could take one step, I felt someone tugging my shirt. “Wait, Rose I want you to keep this” I heard Rebecca’s melodic voice and I turned to see two humble hands held out in front of her with a golden bracelet she has always had, in her hands and when I mean always, I mean always! “Thank you so much Rebecca, I’ll treasure it like I treasure you” I sounded terrible, like I just woke up. I let her put the bracelet on my right wrist and gave her one last hug. I grabbed my bags and headed down the stairs to the cab, with everyone following. “Thank you for everything, Ruby” I hugged her while Natalie placed my bags in the back boot of her car, “Your welcome Rose, I’ll miss you so much. I promise everyone will love you there, maybe they just might remember you.” She hugged me back really tight, and then let me go.
I got into Natalie’s really nice Honda M-D-X and put down the aromatic window “I’ll call you every night or message you on my laptop, to update you about things” I quickly said before the engine purred to life and ruby gave me two thumbs up as the Children jumped calling and cheering after me. I waved back before we turned the corner and I put up the window as I watched these ominously looking black clouds roar in the distances of Seattle. My journey to Forks started and my new life has begun.
