Let's Burn This Down

01

Enter: Kaki, Muimi

I sprented faster and faster to my desired destination. The multitud of viles and bottles in my messanger bag clinked and clanked against one and other as I ran. My destination came into view and I sprang up over the wooden fence with ease, finding my partners in crim all standing together, wearing hoods just as I was.

They wern't just my partners in crime, but they were my five best friends. First we have Oeru. Oh, bless his supposed 'Not Emo' soul. Then there were the twins, Ryuu and Jiman. One completely perverted and the other shy and ten million times more mauture then his brother.
And of course we can't forget Shizuki. Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome. And his love of chocolate can be matched by no other. People always ask me, what would happen if the most serious man alive got high. I always tell them, 'Give Shizuki chocolate and see what happens.'

Lastly, we have the main focus of all my attention. Kadeam. He's smart, daring, he plays guitar, and he skates. Your typical bad boy, I know. Except for the fact that he is compeltly out of it and on his own planet almost 100% of the time. But I adore him for it. He's been my best friend since I was exactly three years old. We met at the park. He was the sand castle king and I was his queen. So cliche.

"Yay! Kaki, your here!" Jiman screamed pouncing on my back. "Can we burn it now?"

"Yeah, let's light 'er up!" Ryuu threw his arms into the air, excitedly.

"It's gonna be fun, right Muimi-chan?" Kadeam smiled at me.

"Yeah, it will be," a smirk slid onto my face.

We all found our own ways into the run down building. I myself took the easiest way in, the front window. (Since the door was boreded shut.) From my messanger bag I pulled a few of the bottles and poured the lighter fluid they contained all through out the main room I came into when I entered the window.

The plan was simple. Oeru, Jiman, Ryuu, Kadeam, and myself were to spread the lighter fluid through the whole building, and Shizuki was going to light it up once the rest of us got out. That is simple for us. Most of the time Ryuu has to light it and he loses his lighter, or one of us get's burned, and once, Jiman almost got caught by the cops. He cried about that one. He's a bit sensetive.

Truthfully it took me about ten minutes to go through all of the viles in my bag, and from my perspective I was the last out. Giving Shizuki the signal that I was out, he pulled out his lighter and a wadded up peice of paper. I slowly made my way over to the rest of the boys, all of us watching with the same expressions as our peice of art lit up in flames. It's always so beautiful, just amazingly beautiful.

I glanced around eagerly to see Kadeam's face. His eye's always lit up so bright. Looking over the four boys around me, my heart jerked into my stomach. A blood curdling scream sliped from my lips, and I threw my hands to my mouth. My feet pushed me forward, but Shizuki held me back.

"Muimi-san, what is it?" he asked concern hardly tugging at his words.

"Ka-kadeam!" my voice cracked as tears tumbled down my cheeks.

I pulled my fist back, shoving it forward and smashing it real hard into Shizuki's nose.
He let go of me and hunched over holding his beautiful nose, cursing at me. I pushed forward, scrambling into the building, that our briliance had set out to destroy.
Though now, I just wished Kadeam had been sick and missed out, or that it were Ryuu in there instead.

"Kadie-kun," I called out, searching aimlessly through the flames.

"Muimi-ch-chaaaan," he called to me, coughing horribly.

I ran to his side, and began to pull at his arm, but he cried out loudly, as I finally got him to move.

"Muimi, just get out. It's my ankle. With me you'd never get out on time." he groaned.

"No! Come on, I'll carry you!" I hadn't noticed how desperate I had become.

He unwillingly put an arm around my shoulders, and took all the weight off of his ankle, leaning on me. I could see the scares forming along his arms, but I didn't let it affect me. I helped him limp twords the front door, which I planed to kick out.

Once we were only three feet from it, it busted in, and two firemen stormed inside, one picking Kadeam up and the other pushing me out the door.

'No, not me! How could I let this happen?! Okay, be calm, Kaki. Lie. Cheat. Kick and Scream. The rules, that's it.'

I opened my mouth to protest, but as I saw the boy I was infatuated with being carried onto an ambulence on a stretcher, I felt myself go numb as the rules faded out of my mind. My head fell as tears welled up in my eyes.

The court date was one week later, and I would be released that same day, just three years afterward. All the things I had earned and built for myself, slowly evaporated away, infront of my eyes. Or maybe that was just the damn white wall I staired at the whole time. Anger welled up inside me, because I was the only one who was caught and charged with Arsen, and my supposed friends, only came to visit once, to tell me that Kadeam would possibly never walk again.

My mother came, once a week for the first year, and the last bit of information she managed to leave me with, was the fact that my father was dead. Though, my dear brother, Jouichirou, continued to visit for the next year and a half, until he decided it would be brilliant to join the same war our father had died in. My perfect, happy life was long past gone.
------- three years later --------

Fall Out Boys From Under the Cork Tree, was blaring dully from my stereo, as I sliped into my new school uniform. The skirt was a bit shorter than what I would have prefered, but to make up for that, Mother had let me decorate it. You see, I, Kaki Muimi, am being sent to private school. Though, to be more presice, Konaha Private School. The same shcool, where my friends and I would ruthlessly make fun of each and every snobby brat of a student, we saw.

Brushing my now long, black hair into two low pig-tails, used only for mocking my mother, I applied my black eye shadow and the perfect amount of mascara to fuse my eye lashes together, so they would swoop to the side.

I clicked the off button on the sterio and pulled my messenger bag over my shoulder, checking to make sure that all of the pins were still intact. Each one was still there. Smiling, I closed my bedroom door and gracefully fell down the stairs.

"C'mon, Kaki! Grab your damn toast and lets go!!" Mother urged, waving tword the door.

I rolled my eyes and grabed my toast off of the counter, and just to annoy her, walked slowly to the door, slipped into my shoes, slowly, and proceded to get shoved out the door.

After sitting myself down in my mothers, small European car, I buckled my seat belt, and rolled down the window. I rested my head on the door, as my mother sat down in her seat, shutting the door and starting the car.
As we drove down the street, my mother glared at me from the corner of her eye.

"Take those out, you brat!" she growled swatting at my hair.

I rolled my eyes, taking my hair down and sliding the hair bands onto my wrist. Placing my hand on the window of the car, I gazed out watching the people drift pass.I grimaced as we stoped infront of the school building, and glared out at the people chattering with their friends.

I pushed the door open, and pulled myself out, slamming the door closed, preparing myself for the whispers.

I began walking to the dull brick building I would now know as hell for ten whoal months, counting breaks and vacations.

With my head held high, I pushed past a group of kids who were laughing and talking infront of the front steps. They all became silent and I could feel their eyes on my back. I pushed the doors open and walked into the office, begining to pray to the gods that this day would be way easier then it was looking it would be.
