This is for loveppears. This does not mean that I am accepting requests again, it's a thank you present for all the banners she makes me. So please don't hound me with requests. Thank you. Enjoy.

The wind blew harsher on this cold January night in New York City. As it danced its way down the streets, the girls held the hems of their dresses and the boys pulled their coats tighter while waiting in line to get inside THE club. For the unfortunates, they would be braving this cold for hours. For the others, such as Angie and Maura, they were granted immediate entrance. And despite the yells they got from the others in line, they walked in with huge smiles on their faces.
The club spent millions upon millions to achieve the ambiance it gave off. The low lights that made the shining tile glisten cost a fortune alone. The bar was everyone's first stop and impossible to miss once inside. It was no different for Angie and Maura - they set offfor the bar and were waited on within seconds. Being attractive in New York meant everything. It got you everywhere you needed to be. Got you everything you wanted.
For Angie, it was no different. She was special in this city, though she hardly knew why. She went along with what she was given in graceful humility. She was a kind girl, and that added to everything else she had going for her. The one thing she could never obtain, or so she thought, was someone that gave her butterflies. Made her weak in the knees. And though she held out hope, it always seemed out of reach at the end of the night.
Maura was Angie's best friend and confidante. Every night that Angie wanted to go out, Maura would agree and come along for support. But every night, Angie would leave disheartened. The clubs were the only place she knew her types of boys hung out in. It was the most obvious place. But she never found anyone. And tonight, she felt it would be no different as she scanned the pulsating, colorful crowd on the dancefloor. She sipped her dry martini with despondency.
Maura had seen her dear friend in this state before. Every few months, Angie would get a loney kick and feel the need to go to different clubs almost every night to fulfill a void that had been made without either of them realizing it. Though Maura was no matchmaker, she had had the same boyfriend for years and wanted Angie to feel what she felt whenever she was around her significant other. But no one ever caught Angie's persnickety eye. Maura was beginning to lose hope that her friend would ever find someone up to her standards.

Gabe walked past the line to get into the club. He was granted entrance upon sight, seeing as how his friend owned the place and he frequented it whenever he was home. He left his hoodie on, still chilled from the walk from his loft apartment a few blocks over. He made his way to the DJ booth, his favorite place to hang out these days. And it looked like his close friend was spinning tonight, so that brightened his somewhat surly demeanor.
Gabe was sick and tired of coming home to an empty apartment. He felt the most alone coming off of a tour to realize that no one was there to greet him when he dropped his bags at the door. No one was there to welcome him home with cookies or kiss him with passion due to missing him. That was just it, though. Gabe felt like no one was there to miss him while he was gone. It made him feel so obsolete. He went from having everyone vying for his attention on the road to being in am empty home, in a big city.
He had all but given up on finding someone to make him feel needed, wanted. He hadn't felt the pull from a girl in ages, he had forgotten what it was like to try. His charm was used on fans just so he wouldn't lose it. He hadn't sincerely flirted in eons. It used to be his favorite sport and now it was wasted. He knew his standards were high, but not impossible. How hard could it be to find a girl that melts his heart in a city this big? There had to be one. So that was what drew him to the club nearly every night in New York.
He wasn't spinning the moment he saw her - he was merely scoping the oscillating crowd underneath the changing lights. She was in the middle of them, swaying her hips in ways that should be illegal. Her hair was flowing down her back, moving in the opposite way of her body. Her hands were poised in the air while her friend and he took turns spinning the other. Gabe had never wanted to take the place of a girl so much. He watched the girls dance for a few moments longer before deciding he needed to get down there and dance with this dark-haired beauty.

Angie spun Maura a few times, causing the girls to laugh with how dizzy it had made her, then got into the music solo. She was dancing in her own world when she noticed that there was a man closer behind her than there had been a moment ago. She glanced up at Maura with a questioning look. Maura just grinned widely then twirled Angie until she was facing the mystery man.
Angie didn't know what happened to Maura after that - whether she stayed on the floor or went to the bar. Angie was stunned speechless by this man's presence. After seeing how attractive he was, she began to feel the familiar critters floating inside her stomach. Her head became hazy when she looked into his deep, brown eyes. His smile made her unsteady. She had ceased moving, in fear that her weakened knees wouldn't be able to hold her up. He held out a hand for her and she grabbed it hesistantly. He pulled her closer and then bent down to whisper in her ear.
"I'm Gabe."
"Angie."
"Angie, would you like to dance?"
"Um.. I don't know.."
"Oh come on."
Gabe so rarely pulled out the puppy dog face on girls he just met, but this was the girl he was feeling the pull towards. It was so strong that he knew that he couldn't take no for an answer. Not from her. He hadn't wanted a girl this much in years.
"Uh. Well, ok."
He grinned, spinning her once before pulling her back in to dance. Their bodies moved completely in synch with one another for a few songs before Gabe couldn't control it anymore - he had to speak to her and get to know her. He needed to be able to hear what she was thinking and feeling. He wanted to ask these things and not over loud music. He took her hand once again and led her towards the entrance of the club.
She did not hesitate - she followed all too eagerly. This was what she was looking for by going to these clubs - a boy that gave her sensational feelings. And he was undeniably gorgeous. Just touching her hand sent jolts all over her body. She was wondering what it would be like to kiss him. His lips were perfectly proportioned and utterly kissable. She wondered what he tasted like. What kind of kisser he was.
Once out in the cold night air, Angie shivered noting the drastic difference. Gabe didn't fail to feel her shudder and slipped his hoodie off quickly to wrap it around her shoulders. She took it gratefully, pulling it closer as the wind swept by them. Gabe hailed a cab effortlessly and asked to be taken to a café just two blocks from the club. While waiting, Angie texted Maura - thumbs up! and smiled, sliding her phone back in her miniscule handbag.
Gabe and Angie talked over black coffee for two hours. Well into the morning. It was so easy and fun being around one another. Gabe found a girl that allured him and kept him interested with her sincerity and wit. Angie found a boy that gave her all those feelings little girls dream about and kept her fascinated by his charm and humor. They watched the city as they talked about who they were, what they liked.
Gabe fought every urge to kiss her until the end of the night, after exchanging numbers. But he had reached his limit and had to do it. They were parting ways - he was going east and she, west. She was hoping for at least a hug, but she got so much more. Gabe pulled her in by her waist and kissed her with concupiscence. She kissed back with just as much until he pulled back with a grin.
Gabe said he would be speaking to her very soon. And this meant that Angie got a call the second she laid down to sleep with the sun coming through her bedroom curtains. They spoke again for awhile until they both fell asleep, phone on the pillow. It didn't take long for them to realize that the connection was real - that they were meant for each other.
Angie had someone that continually gave her butterflies and made her face flush with every grin. Someone that held her and whispered in her ear sweet nothings of her native tongue and another, more romantic one. Someone to kiss anytime she wanted - and often did.
Gabe got someone to miss, and therefore miss him, while he was on the road. Someone to call home to, someone to send things at every stop to. Someone who wrote him 'Welcome Home' signs and bake him his favorite cookies. Someone to touch, just because he felt the need to be close to her, as he so often did.
They had someone that they fell in love with. Someone to cherish. Someone to keep them from lonely winter nights.

Totally watched your boys truly on stickam for awhile tonight. He is outrageous.
