At that moment when Aairashii blew out all seventeen candles on her birthday cake, her eyes blanked out as she stared into space while everything else around her became nothing but blackness. She heard faint sounds of her friends and family saying something, but she could quiet figure out what it was. 'What's going on...why I feel so strange?' she thought to herself as she continued her spacey zone of nothingness.

Suddenly, within all the darkness that surrounded Aairashii, a faint red light appeared out of nowhere. As if this wasn't strange enough, she began to hear voice that told her to follow the red light. At first she hesitated, not sure of what it might bring, but somehow her feet began to move step by step as if she was compelled to walk against her own free will. She thought of nothing more than reaching the red light that was before her. Every step she took she could feel a warm comforting feeling flow throughout her entire body. Finally, after a few minutes of walking she finally reached the bright red light, but she was unsure of what to do next.

'Walk into the light my child, and your fate will be complete...'

As soon as the voice faded away, Aairashii took initiative and walked straight into the light.

"Do you feel that Sasori, un?" Deidara asked, stopping for a moment and turning his head to the left. Sasori did not answer, but only nodded first before he put his thoughts into process. He closed is eyes to try and get a good reading on what the strange energy might be, but his mind drew a blank and he opened his eyes.

"Whatever that energy was, we need to check it out no matter what," he informed Deidara, looking back at him with a serious look.

"What about our other mission to retrieve the Biju from that kid?"

"We will just have to worry about that another time. From my instincts, this energy that we are detecting is of greater importance that that biju or any other biju for that matter. Besides, we might get lucky and come across a biju from this energy. Now, no more questions and follow me." After Sasori spoke, he jumped into a nearby tree and dashed off in the direction where he felt the energy coming from. Deidara hesitated for a moment as he mumbled some foul language towards Sasori under his breath, and then he took off in that direction as well.

Walking through the Hidden Moon Village, something made Sasuke Uchiha stop in tracks not from fear but from curiosity of something new he was sensing. The energy he had felt when he was in Oorichimaru's place was a little different, but the same in a way. He couldn't exactly put his finger on it, but it appeared to be coming from the same person, or perhaps thing. The only difference was that the energy seemed to be more concentrated now than it was faint like it was before, and the fact that it seemed like it was a bit darker.

'Could it be Itachi?!' he thought anxiously as he clenched his fist. He was ready to take off a full speed to see if it was or not, but he new he had to keep his cool on this one so he calmed down. 'No...Itachi wouldn't let his energy chakra spill out so easily. But still, I need to go check this out to ease my mind.' With this thought in mind, he started walking again towards the direction where the overflow of this new chakra seemed to be leaking out from.

"Aairashii!!" Everyone yelled aloud. "AAIRAISHII!!"

All of the yelling that was done in the house still got no response from the girl. She laid the still as if her body had shut down. It was bad enough that her pulse and breathing rate was almost nonexistent. Her family and friends were in panic. It all happened so suddenly. One moment they were singing happy birthday and then after she blew out her candles she passed out in an instant. Her best friends Lui, Misao and Saiyuri were crying. Her boyfriend Sano seemed very angry about the situation that nothing was being done to help her, but the fact was that everything was being done to.

As soon as she passed out, her parents and used their chakra to try and help her regain consciousness, but their efforts seemed in vain. It was almost as if she needed something more to bring her back to reality, but the question is what.

"What else is there to do Daisuke?!" his wife yelled in panic as she drained more of her chakra into her only child.

"I don't know Lyra, we're doing everything we can!!" he yelled, fear ringing in his voice for the uncertain fate that was brought upon his only daughter.

"This is bullshit!!" Sano shouted out of nowhere. He stormed over to the sink, pulled out a large bowl, and filled it with cold water. After that he stormed over to where Aairashii was lying and dumped the bucket of water over her. "Wake up already!!" he yelled, tears flowing from his face this time.

Everyone turned around to look at him in like he has just lost his last marble. It was understood that he deeply cares for Aairashii being that she is his girlfriend after all, but to go as far to pour cold water on someone who has blackout out hardly seems to be the answer especially if other proper methods have already been taken.

"Sano! Are you out of your natural-"

"W- what's g-going on?" a faint voice said.

Instantly, everybody turned from Sano to Aairashii. They all bent down to her level and talked at once to ensure that she was alright. She glanced around to see everybody talking at once, and it took a little while for her to regain full site of what was going on, but when she finally took control of all her senses she was able to sit up.

"Don't sit up to quickly!" her mother exclaimed, grabbing hold of her daughter's hand.

"I'm fine," she reassured, slowly pulling her hand away from her mother and using to cover her eyes. "I just had a dizzy spell, nothing more. But more importantly, how did my clothes get wet?"

The others turned around to look at Sano, but he only turned away angrily and mumbled, "I wanted to make sure you were ok. I didn't know what else to wake you up."

Her eyes remaining closed and her hand covering them, and she sighed heavily and wondered what he might have done next if you hadn't gotten up. The thoughts that ran through her mind made her quiver horribly. Images of Aairashii stained in blood, bodies laying everywhere, and darkness encapsulating everything that surrounded her disturbed you deeply. Screaming voices pleading in sorrow and she, with a sadistic smile on her face enjoying every minute of their torture. She continued shake her head and opened her eyes looking up at everyone. Her face was flushed and she started to sweat a little bit.

Her father noticed these changes in her immediately and wasn't about to take any chances. 'I didn't expect this to happen until there was another Blood Red Moon, and that comes around every 100 years so in her lifetime she wouldn't have to deal with it.' "Aairashii I think it's time for you to rest up a bit. You've had enough excitement for one day," her father said, being a little bit shaky in his voice.

She looked at him completely bewildered. It was her birthday; she was not about to let a little faint spell and crazy images ruin her birthday. She turned 17 today and didn't want this day go up in flames. Aairashii stood up to protest, but her father did nothing more than shake his head and grabbed her wrist.

"Trust me Aairashii , just rest up for the time being. We will re-celebrate your birthday tomorrow, but today is just not the day to do so."

She didn't understand it nor did she bother to try and plead her case again; it would be pointless. "I'll see you all tomorrow..." she mumbled in a barely audible voice, but it was enough for her friends and boyfriend to hear. She pulled away from her father and stormed to her room while slamming the door shut.

"Is there something I should know dear?" his wife asked, just as confused as everyone else in the room.

"I'll explain it you in a few," he told her as he began to turn towards Aairashii's friends. He scratched his head and began to speak. "I'm sorry thing got cut short but some important matters came up that must be dealt with. We'll finish this get-together tomorrow around the same time."

Her friends didn't ask any question; thought they wanted to know what was going on, they knew it was best just to keep quiet and let everything be everything. They made their way over to the door to make their exit. Within a few seconds they left out of the house and shut the door behind him.

"Would you mind telling me what is going on now?" she asked. He nodded his head and made his way over to the door where her friends had just left. He opened it and looked up to the sky and shook his head at what he saw. "What is it?" she asked as she walked over towards him. He didn't have to say another word. She only looked up at the sky and gasped. "What are we going to do?" she asked, "I didn't think-"

"I know...I know..." he interrupted, in a worried tone. "The only thing we can do is prevent her from going outside. The only one's that know what day she was born on that day is us, Kilik, and Bianca. The moon hadn't formed completely yet, but as soon as darkness falls, it will be in full action. As long as she doesn't look at the moon, she should be fine." 'At least I hope...' he thought as he closed the door.

"This fucking sucks..." she screamed into the pillow that she laid on. "It's my fucking birthday and I can't do-"

"Pssst! Aairashii!" a voice interrupted. She looked around the room and saw now one. "Great! Not only am I stuck in my room for some arbitrary reason, but I am also going insane and-"

A knock at the window cut her little venting episode short. She looked to see her boyfriend Sano at the window smiling. She motioned for him to go away since she didn't want to be bothered right now, but she shook his head no and held up a red bag decorated with white dragon designs on it.

"This better be good. I'd rather not get in trouble for bullshit," she muttered as she walked over towards the window that was located on the opposite side of her room. She opened it up and stuck her head outside. "So what is this pleasant surprise?" she asked in a sarcastic tone.

"Is how you treat your gracious boyfriend?" he asked with a smirk, climbing through the window. Once he was in, she shut the door behind him. He ruffled his dark brown spiky hair and grinned. "I wanted to give this to you earlier, but plans were cut short." He handed the bag to her. She took it and quickly opened it. What she pulled out was not what she expected him to get her. "It was extremely hard to find, and I had been saving up to get it. The stone of the pendant reminded me of your eyes and it was said to have some type of mystical power."

"Mystical power?" Aairashii said jokingly.

"I didn't believe it either, but the gypsy that gave it to me said so. She said it had something to deal with some moon, but after that I didn't pay her any attention. I just thought it would suit you."

'Of all the presents in the world he just had to get me jewelry. He knows I'm not in to that sort of thing, but I guess it's the thought that counts so I should be grateful.

Though she was not too happy about the present, she did appreciate him getting it for her. She walked over and gave him a hug and pressed her lips against his. The kiss wasn't long as she pulled away within half a minute.

"Thank you Sano. I'll be looking forward to my anniversary present soon too," she said in a joking manner.

"You know my birthday is before then, right?" he asked, giving her a questionable look. His girlfriend did nothing more than look up at the ceiling smiling.

"Oh yeah, I suppose you're right."

"Don't tell me you for-"

Before he could finish, she tackled him on the bed so that now she was on top of him. "Of course I didn't forget your birthday you idiot!" she laughed, giving him another kiss on the lips. When she was about to pull away, he pulled her back down and the rolled on top of her so she was now on the bottom.

"You know..." he started so say as he grinned sexily. "I could give you something else for your birthday too."

She smiled and said, "As tempting as it sounds, I'd rather not chance it. My parents are probably going to be checking on me soon and it wouldn't look too good on my resume that I got caught having sex."

"I know, but it was worth a shot."

They kissed one last time before he got up off of Aairashii and walked over back towards the window. He opened it up and climbed out. Once he was out, he waved 'bye' and she shut the window. After that, she grabbed the necklace from the bed and walked over towards her mirror. She pulled her long black hair to the side so it wouldn't get in her way as she put on the necklace. Once it was on, she looked in the mirror and smiled.

'I guess it couldn't have been worse...'

"Aairashii!" he mother yelled out. "Are you alright in there?" As soon as she heard her voice, Aairashii jumped in the bed and watched her mother as she opened the door. "I just wanted to check and see if you were alright in here." Her mother and father came in and walked to her bedside.

"I'm just a little tired," she lied, trying not to let it show.

"I know your birthday was cut short, but after all that happened today you need to rest your body. We'll make it up to you tomorrow," her father said, still having an uneasy look on his face as he glanced outside the window to see the night sky had fallen.

"I'll be okay. I'm just going to rest up."

Both of her parents nodded and walked out of the room shutting the door behind them. As soon as they left, she rolled her eyes and jumped right out of the bed. There was no way she was staying in her room tonight; no, not with it being her birthday. She quickly put on her black training shorts and red training tank top. She pulled her hair up into ponytail, and then she grabbed her weapons along with the one her uncle had given for her birthday. Once she was set, she opened the window and climbed out.

As soon as her feet hit the ground, she dashed off into the forest where she usually trained by herself at times. It took her about fifteen minutes to get to her little spot, and was happy when she finally arrived.

"I might as well have my own fun training since I can't do much of anything else," she said, starting to stretch before she began her training. In about ten minutes, she was through stretching and ready to train. Just as she was about to start, something flew right by her ear and hit the tree ahead of her. 'What the hell was that?!' she yelled in her mind as she turned around quickly, only to see nothing was there. She kept looking around, but saw noting. Before she could turn back the other way, something else flew by her ear and hit the same tree.

"Alright girly, show us what you are made of, yeah..." a voice spoke.

"And please, do not disappoint us. I've been aching to figure out where this aura was coming from," another voice spoke. "Now that I see it was you, I want to leave here satisfied."

In an instant, Aairashii was surrounded by a bunch of creatures that looked different from each other.

"What are these things and why are they here?" she asked, taking a step back as she pulled out two shuriken from her holster. She looked back and forth, trying to figure out what they were, but nothing comes to mind. Her uncle had never told her about these creatures, but she guessed that was going to be in her next training lesson. 'Damn...it looks like I'm going to have to do this on my own. This is my first real battle, but why do I feel more excited than I am nervous?' she thought to herself mentally. As the things before her took a step forward, she took a step back, unsure of how to approach her current situation. 'Maybe I should have listened and not trained tonight. Kuso!'
