Alexander was certainly enjoying himself.

My outbursts doesn't mean anything to him. Yeah, my words and yells and what nots failed to penetrate his egoistical head. That doesn't surprise me anymore.

We are currently on top of a random building in that kingdom. I didn't dare to say anything to him then because I was too afraid of heights (but I never actually admitted that to anyone). Trust me, this building is so tall, it's an ideal place for people to commit suicides.

And that said person would fall way down, and when his body hits the ground, there would be nothing left except for - maybe - blood and some bones crushed into pieces.

Maybe it's an ideal place to kill a certain prince jackass.

To make matters worst, he thought it's such a great idea to stand over the edge, sitting on the black railings. And to hide my fear of heights, I just go along with his idea, trying not to look down.

The kingdom was so beautiful at night. Lights were floating everywhere.

There was a heavy sigh coming from Prince Alexander, who was sitting next to me.

"You're afraid of heights aren't you?" he said.

Is he a mind reader or something? Or is he using some sort of a black magic kind of stuff?

"You are all sweaty and looked like you had seen a ghost. It's cold out here."

Damn it.

I remained silent. After all, he hates me right? So why do I have to talk to him?

Another heavy sigh.

"I'm...I'm sorry for doing this to you, being a jerk and all-"

At that moment my jaws dropped and I almost lost my balance on the railings - literally! My heart was pounding on my chest so hard I swear it almost ripped out of me. Thankfully, Alexander grabbed my wrist and brought me closer to him.

"First of all...can we get out of here before one of us ended up down there as minced meat?" I asked, my voice quivering uncontrollably.

"So you said you hate me...for no reason...just because you thought it was amusing?" I bellowed on our way back to the palace.

He smirked. "You must admit it is amusing."

"NO IT IS NOT!" I yelled angrily, fuming. If I were in a cartoon, smoke would come out of my ears and my nostrils would grow to the size of an ostrich egg.

He shrugged, making me even more furious than ever.

"So everything you said to me...about you hating me...was a lie?!"

He shrugged again. My god, how I wish that shoulder of his would fall out of his socket.

"I wouldn't say I hate you. How can I hate someone who I never met before. All that I had learn about you till now is that you are a very ill-tempered, very impatient, sensitive girl," he said, smirking his usual evil, teasing smirk.

I folded my arm and glared at the road in front of me.

"I'm not that mean you know. And whenever you're depressed or angry, it's funny."

"Your Highness," I started annoyed, "you are a very sadistic bastard."

"Oh well, that what makes me more interesting."

Thanks to the Prince, I barely had enough sleep last night.

So the next morning, I was babysitting Emily like usual...looking like a zombie...

Or a ghost of a panda...

Or a ghost of a racoon...

Heck, I got so tired, I accidentally fell asleep...while playing hide and seek.

Luckily, one of the cooks found me hiding under their counter and woke me up. Afterward, the kicked me out of the kitchen.

"Melissa!" Kate yelled from the end of the hallway. She looked like she had been chased by a cheetah. She was carrying something in her hand, a rolled up paper by the looks of it.

"Look here. Have you seen this?" she said with such shock in her eyes that made me curious...and a bit scared. She waved the newspaper in front of me and I took it from her.

As I looked at the front page, I almost died in horror at what I saw.
