[Day 12]

"Nope," he answered, lightly placing his fork and spoon down next to the plates.

"No way! Are you serious?" I exclaimed. He smiled sweetly. "I never get classical instruments. I hate any strings, and I have no talent in piano and everything."

Nick and I was in a lovely restaurant. Nothing much happened in the last few days because I was under house arrest because of my sickness (it got 20 other people that had breathe the same air as I do - including Nick of course. A whooping 20 people! Can you believe that?!).

Over the past two hours, I had learned a lot about Alex's 23-years old brother, Nicholas Wellington. He's a good singer (I found that out when he was humming to himself while we were walking around Vallencia), he can't even play any instruments to save his life, he is an estate agent at Manhattan, he lives in a gorgeous, huge house there too. He moved out of Vallencia a few years before because...er...

He didn't tell me that story yet.

And I don't really want to be too pushy.

"So Nick..." I started, stabbing my brocolli with my fork. "Why did you moved out to Manhattan?"

Oh fine, fine. Maybe I am a tad pushy!

...

Fine, a lot. I'm too pushy. I get it. Damn it, don't insult my pushy-ness!

Nick raised his eyebrow in amusement. "Do you know Melissa, curiosity killed the cat," he said teasingly. I frowned in frustration and said, "But Nick, I'm not a cat."

[Day 13]

Right, time to work.

I opened the door to the music room. Emily was supposed to be practicing her violin today. As always, a beautiful burst of melody exploded in my ears as soon as I opened the big, oak door.

But it's not from a violin. Nor her almost psychotic-about-music teacher. Nor from Emily herself.

He looked up. "What?"

"Where's Em?"

"That teacher of hers dragged her away."

My jaws dropped and my heart was pounding inside my chest. "WHAT?!"

Alexander kept playing the piano like it was normal that someone might try to kidnapped his sister and sell her to Vietnam to annoy more music teachers...or something like that.

"Francois took her to his class."

"For what?" I snapped.

"For her to teach the other students,"

"ARE YOU MA- eh? What?"

His fingers ended the composition angrily. "Do I need to repeat myself? Hm?"

Alex have this some sort of a magic power to make anyone feel tiny and vulnerable whenever he scolded at them. Right now, his magic power is working a bit too well.

"...Sorry..."

"Get out!" He yelled angrily, his index finger snapping at the door, almost in a twitchy manner. Without a single word I ran outside as if I had seen a ghost.

Or an attractive beast, in this case.

"Melissa? What's wrong?"

I turned and smiled at him. "Alex is PMSing again."
