A Lifetime with Prince Obnoxious [Part 1] (A sequel to 30 Days with Prince Obnoxious)

Melissa Winters had left Vallencia, and this story takes place a year later in New York when she's still working with Prince Alexander's brother, Nicholas Wellington. Later, Nicholas received a call from Alex, asking a favor that Nick found too hard to accept.

My name is Melissa Renee Winters. I'm turning nineteen soon, in February to be exact. My hair is a shade of brown, and my eyes are blue. Currently, I'm living in New York. I'm working as a PA, and my boss just happens to be Nicholas James Phillip Wellington - the charming, happy-go-lucky big brother of Emily Ava Roselyn Wellington and Alexander Nicholas Nathaniel Wellington.

Long names right? That's because they are royalty - literally.

Because of an error that Nick made a few years back, his father, King Richard, kicked him out of Vallencia, and that automatically made His Royal Highness Alexander Wellington next in line to the throne.

Emily is their littlest sister - the same sister that I used to babysit last year.

Oh yeah, did I mention that Prince Alexander almost confess his love to me? But since he's only to wed an aristocrat or else he would have to forfeit the throne. A few days ago, I heard Nicholas grumbling to me that the rule actually stated Alex must be wed before he turns 22 years old. Sad isn't it? He's turning 21 this year.

No, I'm fine. Everything's just wonderful.

I heard someone took a sit next to me. I waited for the person to say something, but he didn't. So I opened my eyes - that immediately widened in delight.

There was a flying muffin! Smells like blueberry.

"I've got your favorite," Nick said, still waving the muffin in front of me. I extended my arm to grab it but he raised it up higher.

"Hey!" I whined.

"Happy New Year's," he said slyly. I sat up and made a reach for the muffin. "Back to you Nick. How was the meeting?" I asked him, sniffing the muffin. Mmm, it is blueberry.

"Horrible. Don't ask why," he said bitterly.

Nick had always hated the two CEO from hell of the company. They're always trying to piss him off by their absurd ideas.

"You know what you should do?" I asked in a whisper. He raised his eyebrow curiously. "You should...wait for it...take a day off!"

"No."

I thought so. Since I had work here, Nicholas never, ever take a time off. He's becoming a work-a-holic, I swear...

Then his cellphone rang loudly in his pocket. Groaning, he took it out and motioned me to wait before going out to the office balcony.

"Alex, fancy having you calling me in the middle of work," Nick said, grinning mischievously.

"Maybe you should look up at the dictionary and find the meaning of the word 'work'," Alex shot back.

"You're probably in your office getting all comfortable with a girl, like usual, if you know what I mean," he continued coldly.

Nick was smiling to himself. Same old Alex.

"Oh yes, I am right now actually. And it just so happens to be with Melissa-"

There was a faint choking sound on the other line. Nick was satisfied.

"But hey, like I told you, Mel is working for me. She's not the kind of the girl who would throw herself to boys," he said, almost bored.

"So, why did you called?" Nick said, stealing a glance towards Melissa through the glass sliding doors - who was wolfing down on the muffin like a wild coyote.

"I have a...favor to ask of you," Alex replied, almost painfully at the word 'favor'.

"You do?" Nick asked, surprised. "What is it?"

"I want to see Melissa again."

Nick frowned. "Why?"

"I just need to...can I?"

"Oh, I don't know. You have no idea how long it took her to get over you."

Alex didn't reply - for a very long time.

"Alex?" Nick started.

"Oh sorry. Come on Nick, I had never ask you for anything in my life!"

"You asked me for a lollipop when you were Emily's age," Nick said thoughtfully.

"Except that, yes."

"Oh...oh fine- but why?"

"No reason."

"Alex, don't you dare do anything stupid-"

"I won't," he replied.With a strong reluctance, Nicholas told him Melissa's address.

As soon as Nicholas hung up, he had this feeling that Alex would do something stupid and that giving Mel's address was probably the most biggest mistake in his life.
