I smacked my palm on my forehead in frustration. I can feel Nick's eyes looking at me guiltily.

"That's it! I'm not going to be your maid this time," I said finally, throwing my hands up in the air and ruffling my hair.

"Aw but Melissa!" he whined. I shook my head. "I had cleaned up this place yesterday! How the heck could it get this messy, again?!" I exclaimed, motioning to his gorgeous but messy house.

There were clothes everywhere, and there were wine glasses and his phones, laptops, adapters were scattered messily on the table and sofa.

"I don't understand this," I slowly said, more to myself than him. To make things even more worst, suddenly there was a crash sound coming from the kitchen. Nick and I exhanged looks at first before running towards the kitchen.

"Puppy, Whiskey - GET DOWN!" I yelled at the two of Nicholas' cats. Then the real puppy came in to the kitchen to join us and started to bark at the cats. At least one creature is siding with me.

"Come on Snowy," I said, picking the husky up. I shot a look at Nicholas. "I know you just adore animals, but you can't pick up strays and buy more and more pets Nick!" I scolded him. He pouted. I scowled at him. "You've got no time for them! You haven't fed Snowy here for almost 3 days once!"

"But I can't just chuck them away can I?" Nick whined.

"I have a friend who might be interested in them..." I said thoughtfully.

"Is she nice?"

"She won't kill a puppy and eat their meat if that's what you mean," I snapped. He held up both of his hands. "Okay, okay."

"In the meantime, I'm going to get you a housekeeper," I said, whipping out my phone. He smiled at me appreciatively.

"Just tell me when you're done with that..." he trailed off - almost as if he was trying to hide something.

After my work is all finished, I took a long, hot, scented bath back in my luxurious apartment. All of those money that I had save up from my babysitting job really paid off. Now, paying the bills, taxes and what nots are somewhat easy.

My bath was interrupted, however, by the knock on my door. I wrapped a bathrobe around myself and flung the door open, ready to give that someone a piece of my mind.

I'd worked hard all week, and I deserve a nice weekend at home dammit!

"Not a good time?"

My heart skipped a beat.

"What are you doing here?" I said - whispered actually. I couldn't trust my voice to speak right now.

I can't believe this. There he stood, in front of me. God, I never realized how much I miss those blue eyes before.

"I'm sorry to bother you...er..." he paused, looking at my fluffy white bathrobe. I tugged on the bathrobe out of self-consciousness.

He cleared his throat and continued, a bit more calmly and gently this time, "I miss you."

"You...miss me?" I said, chuckling. He grinned towards me. "I know, curious isn't it?"

"Oh well, come in. I need to get...change, as you can see," I said.

So I let him in and I rushed to my closet to change into a huge white tee and a pair of black shorts. Then I rushed back out, afraid that he is merely an imagination.

He's not.

"So tell me," I said, as cool as possible, "How on earth can you miss me?"

"Don't flatter yourself darling," he said in a posh tone that made me blush. He ruffled his hair a bit. "It's just that...I really miss your snobby attitude around me all the time-"

I scowled at him. He laughed.

"Seriously though. All the fights, all the parties, all the so-called 'dates' that we've been to," he said casually. I smiled and sat next to him.

"Alex, have you forgot what I told you a year back? On that festival...?" I trailed off - unsure if I should said that or not. Alexander Wellington sighed and ran a hand through his hair again. "I still remember that...and I thought, 'screw this'. Throne or no throne, wealthy or poor, I still can't stop thinking about you," he said. I frowned a bit.

"Does your father knows about this?"

"...No."

I chuckled lightly.

"Alex...you're still not ready to let all of those go are you?"

"No...not really," he said, smirking slightly. "But Melissa Renee Winters...I love you."

I was about to deny that YET AGAIN, but he was already ahead of himself and pulled me closer to him before kissing me passionately.

Is this really love, I wonder.

I blushed harder when I started to kiss him back.

Maybe...just maybe, this could work. Hey, forbidden love had always been a fantasy of some girls right?
