Kate looked more matured than ever before. Her black hair is kept long. Currently, it's twisted in a neat bun.

Being back in Vallencia is not a nice feeling, I admit it. I didn't know why, but I felt like I should not tell Nick about this little visit back to Vallencia of mine. And anyway, it was Kate who forced me to come since she told me that she misses me so much - plus she got something to tell me.

Which is clearly visible on her finger right now.

"Anyway, do you know, his highness threw a temper tantrum around the castle all week!"

My eyebrows furrowed. Here we go again. "I'm not interested in those kind of things Kate..."

"And get this," she continued, ignoring me, "rumour has it that he's fallen in love - with a girl, in America," she said. I looked down at my cup of coffee to hide my flustered face.

"I don't believe it though," she said. "A guy like him falling in love with someone? Very hard to believe."

"Yeah, tell me about it," I said, more to me than her. "But I heard he is going to marry someone local."

Kate nodded enthusiastically. "I don't blame him for trying to escape from the castle every time. That girl drive even me mad. Plus, Emily's been really missing you."

Emily.

"Can I see her?" I suddenly said. Kate smiled at me and sipped her coffee.

To be frankly honest, I'm practically sneaking inside the palace. Kate was looking at me oddly when I'm trying to hide behind her back all the time, thinking that Alex could pop out anywhere - dangerous I tell you.

It took forever to reach Emily's room - and I forgot the way a bit too. When Kate left me, I swung the door open.

"Get out!" Emily yelled, her back was facing towards me.

"Oh, well. I'm here to see this lovable kid I used to take care, but since you put it that way..." I trailed off, starting to turn on my heels and walk away very slowly.

"Melissa? What are you doing here?"

I froze and quickly looked back into her room.

"Melissa!" Emily said excitedly and ran towards me. But when she finally reached me and hugged me around my waist tightly (she was still a tad short), my eyes was still widened in fear.

There, on the edge of the bed, was Alex's head. I don't know if I was imagining it or anything, all I know was that Alex was in the room. Oh god, what have I got myself into?

Alex stood up and shot a confused look towards me.

Gathering all my courage, I smiled at Emily. "Um, I miss you Em, but I really need to talk to your brother there," I said, shooting a look towards him. His face turned serious and he nodded.

"Don't leave..." Emily said, and I could have sworn she would start crying. But she didn't and Alex dragged me out of the room in a blink of an eye.

When we were outside, at the fountain, we stood rigid at first before I finally sighed and said, "We seriously need to talk."
