Noon
All guards that had tried to stop you.
Quickly, his will is almost breaking.
What if? WHAT IF IM TOO LATE?
The voice faded to an almost inaudible whisper.
Oblivion...
Oblivion to him and his soul...
You gasped. You had reached the door. The orb went right through it.
And now? Your thoughts were chaotic and stressed.
WHAT MUST I DO!
There was no answer.
Your hands couldn't find a doorknob, nor a keyhole. You pounded the wood with your fists.
"Let me- LET ME IN! I CAN'T GET IN!" Your voice raised to an hysterical height.
"Only millennium magic can open this door."
Your pounding stopped.
"Karim?"
What the- *anime fall* What's that dude doing here!? O.O (Me: How should I know >.> You: YOU'RE THE DAMN WRITER! >.< Me: Well I still wouldn't know... >.> Or tell... >:D)
Spare me -_-'
"Your heart is honest. You just came here for your brother. As long as you don't threaten the pharaoh, I dont have any right to stop you," Karim said.
You blinked.
"Why not?"
"Rumors say that Akunadin has been driven mad by all times that he was rejected by those he loved. Even though, he had no right to take your brother away. Not even if the boy really holds that power the priest has been wanting for all these past six years."
The orb of light!
"Parshath..." you whispered. "You mean?"
Karim nodded. "Sheri has not been entirely forgotten."
He raised his millennium item.
The wood of the door dissolved and showed a tablet made out of massive gold. It was covered in hieroglyphics. In the middle stood the eye of Horus.
The tablet disappeared.
"Mekhare!"
You turned around. Nekau ran towards you with the two scimitars in his hands.
His eyes fell on Karim.
"What is he doing here!?"
I would tell you... If this writer would have told me! >.< *glares* (Me: *innocent smile*)
Hmm, let Karim tell... (Me: dah -_-)
"I'm just landing a small hand, lord Simut," Karim said before disappearing into a passage.
You turned back to the door.
Everything behind it was black. Everything, except for a small orb of light. It shone its light on a small figure.
You forgot all about everything and ran towards it.
"Sisheri!"
You fell down on your knees.
"Sisheri!"
Tears splattered on your hands and what was left of his hair as you took him into your arms.
"I'm here... I've come..." You cradled him softly into your arms, ignoring the strange angle his legs were in, the limpness of the response he didn't give.
"Sisheri..."
Above your head, the orb of light slowly faded to black.
Nekau's scimitars fell on the floor. The sound was definitive like a guillotine.
"It's too late, he's dead!"
The raspy voice came from a small, ugly man, leaning his full weight on a long, green rod.

.o.O.o. .o.O.o. I think we all know the answer to that... Little bit of magic and: poof, everything is happy, well and alright again with NO consequences whatsoever! Save the whole God darn world in one single spell! We know that is possible... do we? DO WE!? >:D .o.O.o. >:) Ah, almost at the end... ALMOST at the big revelation that'll either make you kill or love me... just a few more chapters to go! *chuckles* Until then: take care... and I hope you don't freeze stuck in your place, waiting :P (ah I know my absence doesn't mean the end of the world... I just like to pretend ^^) *bows, takes off hat and disappears in a poof of smoke*
.... Who's the little creep!? >.> (Me: *points at results*)
"He's not!" You clenched to your brother, not intending to ever let him go. "He's not!"
"He is, girl, better give it up."
"Stop it! Stop it, NE-he met..." You glared at the kaa. "You're a monster."
The old magician chuckled.
"What did you expect with such an owner like mine?"
"You helped me before," Nekau said. "Don't lie about that boy."
The small magician bowed his ugly head and his yellow eyes looked at the ground.
"As you wish."
"Look for him." Nekau commanded.
The staff glowed.
You continued to cry silently and looked down on your little brother. The green light made him look even worse, to a point where you didn't even recognize him. The image would stay with you until the end.
"I found him," the magician rasped.
"Good." Nekau said. "Now place him back."
"What!?" the magician's yellow eyes grew even wider. "No, you can't! Our life-"
"Shut up and do it."
The staff glowed for a moment.
You could feel a cold wave of air pass your face.
"Done." The magician sounded extremely angry... or scared.
You desperately looked for any signs of life. "He doesn't breathe!"
"Of course not!" the small man huffed. "The body is dead."
You clenched your fists, a new wave of tears streamed from your widened eyes.
"But then!? CAN'T YOU JUST SAVE HIM!?"
