I was about to leave, but he kissed me to keep me here. I pinched his side and he let go of me. I smirked at Neji and climbed out of the window. He shut it after me and I ran home, falling asleep on my covers - which lie on the floor - and immediately fell asleep.
Neji's POV the next morning~
I noticed Aneko wasn't at training today. I looked around. Where was she?
"Alright, students! Tsunade has something to talk to us about so we're all going- where's Aneko?" Gai asked.
"I don't know," Tenten said. "That's what I was wondering."
"I have no clue," Lee said also. I scoffed and looked the other way as they all turned to me. Gai sighed.
"No matter, we can leave now."
We all went to Tsunade's office. I wondered what it was about. It couldn't be a mission, because Gai always says if it is. We did just fine on our last mission, so we weren't in trouble. What could it be about?
She looked troubled, as if there were something - like a threat to us. "Ok, where is Aneko?" she asked.
"We don't know," Gai replied.
"Well, I guess that's a lot better on us. Now, I need to tell you something about your little mystery teammate," Tsunade said.
"What about Aneko-chan?" Lee asked.
"She's a spy for the Rain Village," Tsunade said sternly. I took a step back, unnoticed because of all the confusion from the others.
"W-What? That's not possible!" Tenten yelled.
"It is. We aren't going to kill her or ban her. We won't do anything, she hasn't found one thing out yet. Tenten, Gai I want you two to leave to find her. I need to talk to Neji and Lee," Tsunade explained. Tenten and Gai left. I was afraid of what she was going to say.
"What do you want, Tsunade-sama?" Lee asked.
"I need you two to answer this question." We nodded. "Are either of you...involved with Aneko?"
"What do you mean?" I spoke.
"Dating, boyfriend/girlfriend... Things like that," Tsunade said. I looked calm on my outside, but inside I was driving myself insane!
"No, I am not, Tsunade-sama," Lee said.
"Yeah, like I'd date her," I muttered. "She's the worst thing on the face of the earth." She's the best thing on the face of my earth. I love her.
"Alright."
"May I ask...what are the consequences of being involved with her?" Lee asked.
"Death." Lee and I glanced at each other. Dang...now we really had a reason to hide it.
"Thank you." Lee bowed.
"Alright. You are dismissed," she said. We both left and went back to the training field. Aneko, Tenten, and Gai were here. Aneko smiled and yawned at us. I wanted to smile back and go to her, but that would get me killed. And if I was dead, I wouldn't be able to be with her, right?
We walked up to them and we all started our laps.
Aneko's POV
As we all ran, Neji slowed down to me again. "Meet me tonight at my house again. I have to talk to you, this time it's a real talk," he said. I bit my lip.
"Is there something wrong?" I asked. He looked at me.
"Maybe," he whispered. "Depends on what happens tonight." I nodded and he ran off. It seemed like this was an everyday thing, because Tenten ran up.
"Hey. What did Neji say to you?" she asked.
"Nothing," I said. "It was just about my journal."
"Did you let him read when you won't even let me read it?!" she yelled.
"No, I left it two days ago and yesterday he gave it to me. Now he keeps telling me to stop forgetting it," I mutered.
"Ohhhh..." she muttered. "Well, gotta go!" She ran off to talk to Lee. It seemed odd, the way she was acting. I shrugged it off.
