Now, when I say bowl with your computer, I'm not talking about venting those fits of frustration, that can only be relived by heaving your computer like a bowling ball as far as it will go when Vista does some of it's strangeness. I'm talking about some fun bowling games that can be played on your computer. Or your PS3, Wii, Xbox360, iTouch, PSP, or Nintento DSi. Any of the above, all have some really fun bowling games to try out.
Now, don't go and give me that old song and dance, about how boring bowling is, and that you have to be bald, over 40, and love beer to really appreciate the game. Not that I'm suggesting, that any of those could be an impudent to enjoying the fine game of bowling, I'm just saying they're not a prerequisite. After all, bowling's been around for at least as long back as the ancient Egyptians, and is played around the world. It's gotta be fun for at least a few people.
It would only seem natural, that as digital technology advanced, that bowling would follow along. It is fun, and a very sociable activity. It's a great game to be played with friends, family, and on first dates. It's harmless, and doesn't require a whole lot of natural skill to get started. That's, not to suggest that it's a simple game, just one with a very accessible learning curve. Anyone will have fun on their first time out.
While it may seem a little old school, it's also seen a bit of rejuvanation with some of the new tech gadgets to come out lately. The most notable, being the Nintendo Wii. Bowling is a perfect fit for the Wii, with it's motion sensing controller. You can really feel like your bowling in your own family room. We've played ours with grandparents, and 10 year olds all at the same time, and had lots of fun. It was kind of hard actually to tell who was having more fun. The ten year old, or the seventy year old;)
You can download some fun bowling games to play on your computer as well. Computer bowling games, are far more likely to some interesting variations your not going to find at your local bowling lanes. Bowling for cats is one, and how about bowling for elves. Bowling babes sounds interesting, but maybe not for everyone.
