I Could Never Forget You
"There you are, smiling and showing your architecture class project to all the girls around you that are yelling things like "That's so cool!!" or "You're so talente, of course!" while I'm here sitting in the corner waiting for the moment that you, Inoo, will remember that we were the closest friends here in college. I could go there and also tell you cute things about you and your homework and act like a fangirl, but I guess I'm a different girl than the ones around you. Or maybe that's no the problem. Maybe the problem is that when I became your friend, I thought that I was always going to love you just as a friend, but when the time started to pass by, each time I would get more shy with you, and while time passed by, it ended up like this. Only greeting each other every morning, sometimes telling us a little random thing, but then nothing more. If you could just notice me once more, I would be happy. I would be happy if you remembered me once more, because I feel like you forgot me. And even though I would also try forget you, I couldn't do it, because I love you"
The class finished and Akiko left the class fast, then Inoo went behind her.
"Hey!" said Inoo to Akiko
"Oh, hi" Akiko replied thinking that that was going to be the only words that she was going to hear from Inoo that day.
"I...I" Inoo said "The truth is that I've notice that we haven't be that close lately as we used to be
"SHOCK!" thiught Akiko "So he hasn't forget about me and our friendship after all!"
"Have you been ok lately?" said Inoo
"Ah, yeah, I've been good" Akiko replied and then there was a silence
"See you later then" said Akiko shyly starting to walk away
"Wait!" yelled Inoo "Ehm... let's go eat something together, ok? I invite you!"
"S...sure" Akiko said smiling
So they went to eat and they walked and had a fun day and both of them were feeling very happy because of being with each other, then it was already night and Inoo took Akiko to her house.
"Thanks. I had fun today" said Akiko
"Yeah, I also had fun" smiled Inoo
"Then, see you tomorrow" she said opening the door
"Wait!" said Inoo "I'm sorry that we stopped being that close friends than we used to be"
"Don't worry about that" said Akiko "It's... it's not your fault"
"It is"said Inoo
"Huh?"
"Back then you we were very close friend and I hoped it was going to be like that forever, but then I didn't wanted just to be your friend, I... I started to like you and each day more and more. I got shy and started to get more distance from you, but now...now I really don't want us to stop being friends"
"What do you mean?" asked Akiko blushing
"I love you"
A tear of happines felt from Akiko's eye. All this time she had been misunderstanding the reason she and Inoo weren't that close anyymore, but the truth was that they loved each other and they had never said it before.
"Akiko?! Are you cryi-"
Akiko huged Inoo.
"Sorry, it's just that... all this time that we wouldn't be together as we used to be, I had been thinking that you had forgot me, and I was scared it would be true. I love you Inoo!"
"I could never forget you Akiko-chan, and no matter what could happen between us, you will always be in me heart. I love you"
