Scaredy Cat

A ripple of anxiety danced down your spine, adrenaline pumping through your veins as you buried yourself deeper beneath the horde of blankets you had stolen from the various rooms in the mansion. The darkness of the room seemed to creep in on you, almost suffocating. You took a large gasp of air, cursing beneath your breath as the music of your television jumped up a crescendo and the intensity in the ominous quarters increasing the tightening of your breathing passage. You gave a visible shudder as a shadow flitted across the television and the female dressed in tattered clothing, stained with blood (hers or someone else's, you weren't sure), squeaked out, jumping in the direction the shadow had disappeared to. Nervously, her eyes scanned the darkness, her voice cracking as she weakly croaked out a typical horror movie cliché.
That damned, frightened, "Who's there?"
You hissed, angrily, knowing that would fucking cue for the crazed lunatic chasing the dumb bitch. As expected, the camera panned into the masked murder's face, and a light glinted maliciously off of his ridiculously large machete. The little blond saw him, her face contorting with terror as the psycho rose his weapon high above his head, swatting the frozen idiot like a fly. You flinched, a scream ripping from your throat as you threw the blankets over your head, curling yourself into a ball. For some reason being blinded by hundreds of blankets and your heavy breathing in the confined space did not help your paranoia. You, too afraid to move and peek your head out, and far too cowardly to stay under the cover for too long, did the only thing you could think to do.
You shouted for help, "Dino!" you shouted, your voice shrill and urgent. You repeated his name a couple more times, worried tears wetting your eyes as absurd ideas danced through your horror-filled head. What if some murderer was in the mansion? What if he had gotten to Dino, Romario and the others. God... that would mean I'm next... You attempted once more to call for the blond, "Dinooo-"
Dino had nearly ripped your door off of it's hinges, allowing the light of day to dissipate the darkness. His amber eyes searched for you, blinking once they landed upon the lump squirming beneath the blankets (he had finally solved the mystery of who kept taking the good sheets). Cautiously, he called for you, slowly creeping into the room as he peered curiously at your television set which was blaring rather loudly. He nearly jumped out of his skin when an unsuspecting teen got his head decapitated by the swing of an old metal bat. His face lost some of it's natural color, and he gulped, his mouth uncomfortably dry. "____," he whispered, falling beside you on the bed as he rested his hand upon what he thought was your head, "what's the matter, you sounded like you were being murdered." he laughed warily, rubbing your head as you gave a whimper.
Before he knew what was happening, you had pulled him underneath the dark shield of your blankets, burrowing your face in his chest, "I'm scared," you murmured into his black shirt, clinging onto the fabric almost desperately, pulling the blushing (luckily for him, it was too dark for you to possibly see it) blond smooth against your body. "stay with me for a while, Dino." you pleaded, moving your head to rest on his shoulder as you draped your arm around his waist, pulling him as close as you could. The heat underneath the sheets was stifling, but you didn't seem to mind as long as Dino was there.
"____, I've already told you to stop watching those scary movies," Dino frowned, trying to find your eyes in the dark, so he could properly scold you, "you know how big of a scaredy cat you turn to..." he said with an air of mockery, running his hand through your hair, until your raspy breathing evened out.
You pouted, "Am not," you whined, releasing a small yelp as another victim gave a pain-filled yell from the television. Dino's laugh only further to annoy you, "s-shut up, that doesn't prove anything!" you exclaimed, your cheeks rouge with blush. You could feel Dino's breath on your lips, wondering if he know how close your faces were. With a smirk, you caressed his mouth, shallowing a surprised chirp as your tongue traced the shape of his soft lips. Trailing kisses along his slack jaw, you experimentally slid your leg between his, a groan exiting his lips.
"Don't you know the rules of horror," Dino panted, a coy smile on his lips, "promiscuous teenagers are usually the first to go." he smiled as you tensed underneath his wandering hands, pushing your feet against him as you kick him off the bed. With a distressed cry, Dino collapsed to the floor, looking surprised with you as you peeked from beneath the blankets,
"What, you said it yourself," you whined, "I'm a scaredy cat~"
