"What the hell are you doing here?" Landon asked when he slide into the passenger seat, his mind was set on sleeping.

"I'm the closest assassin around this area...unfortunately," Jake added, smirking. "Seatbelt Landon," he said somewhat mockingly. Landon rolled his eyes. He doesn't need any seatbelts.

"And to be frankly honest, Christian thought you would screw up, again," Jake said smugly. Landon clenched his jaw. "So he sent you to come along with me? That's just like adding more crap to the already crap situation."

"What are you implying?"

"You're an ass. I don't see how I can fail this assignment," Landon hissed. Jake shook his head, his eyes were on the road. "He thought you might be in a certain...relationship, with Amelia."

"If there's anyone that's currently in a relationship with her, then that would be you Jake. What the hell are you playing at?"

"Curiosity is a dangerous thing Landon. I just wanted to know what's so special about this girl."

"Don't come close to her, again."

Jake scoffed. "Oh please..." he trailed off, smirking. "I can touch her as I please, as long as she is willing."

"I'm going to kick your--"

Jake swerved dangerously at 200km/h around a sharp corner.

"You were saying?" Jake said a moment later, driving calmly. Landon should know better. Jake is a skilled driver after all...at the same time the man likes too much speed that would eventually kill himself and everyone around him.

"Dad," I said, my heels were digging into the ground hard.

"Sweetheart, how good it is to hear from you again!"

"Still into politics daddy?" I asked, hurriedly. "But of course. As usual, I don't really like the Republicans--"

"Dad, this is important. You have to listen," I said. Lily nodded to me when the sliding door slide open when I stepped in front of it. "Please be careful dad. I love you so much. In fact, move out of Capitol Heights, right now!"

"Sweetie, I know."

"Pardon me?"

"I'm sending my men to chase down whoever is out there to kill me."

Is it Landon?

"Do you know the murderer?" I asked. "No, not yet. But I know for a fact that they are paid to kill."

Assassins?!

"What? What makes you think that?" I asked him. "Amy, a few weeks ago I knew a secret that nobody was supposed to know. It involves some government conspiracy, but it's too dangerous to tell you now."

"What do you mean? Are you saying that all the people who were murdered for the whole week knows the secret too?"

At that said, everyone around me stopped doing their job and came closer to me curiously. It has been a very stressful week, and all of us wants to go home and rest. So I don't really mind the lack of privacy right now, not that I needed it much.

"Yes sweetheart. I was expecting it actually."

"Dad, I'm sending a team of FBI towards Capitol Heights," I said, determined. Those agents had been anxious all week long too. It seems that in any minute, they could come right up towards a stranger and accuse him or her of the murders due to the overwhelming pressure to find the killer.

"Oh, I don't want to cause any trouble."

"It's just for protecting you dad! The last thing I want to do is to see you here lying on my table, dead!" I said. I actually said the word 'dead' as if it doesn't matter.

"Sweetheart, I'll be okay. Trust me."

"Dad..." I said, sighing.

"I got to go now. I've got some business to do. No use if I sit here in the house for a long while hm?"

"But-- Da-- Oh fine!" I groaned, hanging up. "What secret?" chimed everyone. My heart was aching for all of them. They looked so curious. "Amelia, what's going on?" Lily asked.

"I just get this weird feeling that all of this murders have to do with politics. I was right. I don't know what secret it is. My father probably doesn't want me to be the next one who is going to haunt your dreams at night."

They were all silent. "Now come on, don't be that way. Let's get through this week. I'm sure we can find the killer."

I was careful not to mention that I know whose fingerprints it was on the watch. It can't be Landon. Something must have messed up.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Where's the .50?" Landon asked calmly. Jake raised his eyebrow. "Why?"

"In case you didn't notice, there are like 20 government cars behind us."

"Oh, that."

Landon tried hard to keep his anger under control. "It's under the seat," Jake said. Quickly, Landon took out the long, black rifle and point the barrel towards the back of the car. "You're going to pay for the shattered glass Landon!" Jake scolded.

"It's just a car, Jake. Deal with it."

With that said, Landon smirked and aimed towards the tires of the car. He didn't want to kill anyone. He searched for a strategic place to shoot and found it.

He pulled the trigger. The bullet rip through the air, the shockwave shattered the glass before it even came penetrating through it. The .50 cal hit a car that was in the lead, stopping it to a screeching halt. The car behind it however, can't stop in time since it was traveling too fast.

The car flipped over and crushed the earlier car. It then rolled over crushing to the side of the street.

So much for not killing people.
