A Handsome Assassin as a Roommate [Part 17] NOT a Bright Idea!

Hayden Selvidge lost his patience and ordered for his brother to get out of the room in order for him to threaten Amelia. It worked, since Amelia suddenly got scared to death of Hayden. Meanwhile, Landon barged into Christian's home in another rampage concerning Amelia.

"Hayden, I think I might commit suicide if she says 'let me go' for another time," Brody said. "Good, I want you to commit suicide," I scoffed.

"Brody, get out. You're making things more stressful for me to handle," Hayden said. Brody got up and glared at me. He mouthed 'I'm watching you'. I rolled my eyes. "Go to hell," I muttered.

"My name is Hayden Selvidge," he said. "What's yours?"

"That possibly have to be the most lame pick-up line I had ever heard," I said sarcastically. When the rage is out...there's no stopping it. He scowled. "So here's the deal," he said, straight to the point now. I like it.

"My father is Jonathan Selvidge. He's a republican. Apparently he did something wrong which I have no idea what, but I have a quick guess that your father knows what it is and tries to blackmail my father with it or something. I don't really know. I hate politics. We just need you here to blackmail your father back."

"I didn't do anything dirty, unlike your father," I spat. Honestly, use me as a blackmail item? Hayden seem to lost his patience with me, and his glare turned ice cold.

"You're a politician's daughter. With a snap of a finger I could send the guards down here and rape you right here and now and I'll be watching...and I swear to god I'll be taping it all the way. I'll force you to enjoy it and I'll make you do and experience things you had never experienced before. And then I can use that tape as a blackmail item. Do you want me to do that?"

My breath got caught up in my throat. Something tells me he's really serious.

"You're going to do it to me anyway aren't you?" I said coldly. He stared at me with a set of blue eyes warmly, but his voice was freezing cold.

"That depends. If you behave, I might think otherwise."

When he, along with the stiffness we had in the air, walked out of the room, I couldn't take it any longer and just had to bury my face onto the pillow and silently cried. The door was locked again.

"I couldn't believe you would do that," Landon whispered to Jake, deadly serious. Jake looked up from his newspaper, sipping his tea calmly. Unable to hold his anger, Landon threw the cup of tea towards the wall.

"I can't believe you would even show your face right here, right now," Jake replied curtly.

"She bears no importance to you whatsoever Landon," Christian said from behind him. Landon tried hard not to punch him. "I'm not willing to be locked up in jail just because of one, silly, pathetic little girl--"

"She's not pathetic!" Landon yelled.

"I ask you to kill her if she knew too much Landon, what happened there?" Christian said calmly. Jake, sensing the tension, walked out of the room leaving both of them to glare at each other.

"How the hell was I supposed to know that she knew too much?!" Landon yelled, his voice was so high-pitched it sounded weird. "Where is she?" Landon demanded.

"I've no idea."

"You're lying!" Landon said, banging his fist on the wall.

"Landon, get over it. This is out of our hands. You should not interfere, do you hear me?" he barked. Once again, Landon knew that he would have to give up this fight.

But he's not willing to. Amelia's in someone's hand and she would probably end up in a gutter somewhere, lifeless and dead. Just thinking about it makes his heart ache. She doesn't deserve this. It's all his fault. From the minute his watch got snatched...

Christian walked out of the room and with such fury, slammed the door shut behind him so hard that the vase in the middle of the room shattered and broke on the floor.

Landon went to Chris' room and went to her PC.

"Landon, what are you doing?" she asked, getting up from her bed weakly. "Chris, you need to go outdoors and enjoy life for a bit okay?" Landon scolded. He didn't like to see his little sister so weak and pale. It's like she had turned nocturnal overnight.

"Christian won't hurt you, he's not really that bad," Landon said comfortingly, his fingers flew across the keyboard swiftly. He is so concerned about Amelia that bullshit are coming out of his mouth.

He needed to hack into the system to track down where Amelia had went off to. He can do this by searching the database for the latest assignment reports that are only accessible towards a few people who control the data.

He's not one of them, but he's a pretty damn good hacker.

"I like my room, thank you," Christina said, grabbing the covers and start to go back to sleep again. Landon rolled his eyes. If he wasn't so busy right now he would have forced Chris outside.

He scrolled down and found it. He quickly went through the information. Who the hell is Selvidge?
