Morning

As she strapped the brightly color-stained bag securely on her back, Sakurai Kaoru loosened the fluorescent lime green tie around her neck. It was an early monday morning, and the girl was excited beyond her imagination. It was her first day of being a third year in middle school. She would proudly strut through the school in her rebellious excuse for a uniform, and newly aqua colored hair.
As Kaoru tied on her neon-rainbow boots, stretching the checkered laces and tying them tightly where they ended mid-thigh, she took a pause to think. Would her homeroom teacher be the same of her close friend, Akira's? She shrugged the thought away. Running next door, she spotted a young girl leaving the Sakamoto home.
"Ohayo, Fuyukkun!" The girl let out a grin.
"Morning, Ru-nee. Is Kaon ready yet?"
Kaoru shook her head. "Could you get him ready, though?" Fuyuki nodded in response. Dashing, Kaoru rushed up to the door of the Sakamoto house. She took a deep breath, and cupped her hands around her lips.
"A-KI-RAAAAAAAAA~!!" The girl screeched, most-likely awakening the sleeping Harumi. A green haired boy emerged, messily dressed in the correct uniform for his middle school that Kaoru had failed to wear.
"Ohayo, Kaoru." The girl beamed, and looked over Akira's shoulder to see the boy's ageless mother, waving her goodbye.
"Let's go, Akira! First day, right?"
Akira bobbed his head once, still in a sleepy daze. "It's the first day alright."
