Did you read the memo? If you didn't, go ahead and continue, but I warn you, You'll be very confused.
QUIZ START!

You were going to die. At least, that's how you felt while perched at the pinnacle of the ferris-wheel. Sure, the view was lovely. The stars were just beginning to peek out of the velvetine blanket of the night sky, and below you, slate colored waves were breaking against the shore about ten feet from the fair grounds. But you weren't concerned with that; You were more preoccupied with the view straight below you. Specificaly the fact that it was a good five stories to the hard asphalt below.

Your hands and your jaw were clenched, one arm was draped tightly around the rusty iron handrail.
"Oh sure, what fun this is. Carla's such a danger junkie. I can't believe I let her talk me into this," you thought.
The ferris you were riding gave a sudden jolt, dropping a few inches. You clung harshly to that poor handrail.

"...Is this even safe?!"< ?I>
What kinda lame first question is this supposed to be?*Ferris jolts*0.0Waaugh!
Scraaape
The noise came from somewhere to your left. You ignored it. No way you were going to let a little noise scare you. In the car below you, Carla sat with Todd. Todd was a nice guy, and he and Carla had had a thing for each other since you all had met up in first grade. Unfortunately for them, they were both too stubborn to admit it. So what does Carla do to try to get Todd's attention? She strands the three of you on top of a decrepit old ferris-wheel in some run-down carnival halfway to nowhere.
"Smooth move, Carla-baby," you muttered under your breath.
Scraaape

The winds at this elevation were such as to whip your hair about your face, occasionally makeing you gag. But to brush your hair aside, you would have to release your death grip on the handrail. Which was so not going to happen. From below, you saw Carla's laughing face look up at you.
"Hey, Robin! Having fun?" She exclaimed, laughing a little.
You eased up on your grimace.
"Of course! Who wouldn't be?!" You yelled back. There was no way in Heaven or Hell that you would ever let on that you were afraid.
Scraaape
But that wierd scraping noise was starting to get on your nerves. So you inclined your neck a touch to the left to look at the source. And paled. And held on as tight as you possibly could to the handrail.

It was a dog. Some nightmarish, pitch-black dog was chewing on the cord that held your car aloft. Long, curved yellow fangs were slowly traceing their way across it, shredding the cord veeerry gradually. Its acid-green eyes met yours. A single bead of drool fell off the corner of its mouth.

Your breath came in short, quick gasps.
"No way," you thought, "No way this is real. This can't be happening."

Scraaape
Steadying yourself, you slowly edged your way to the other side of the car.
"The altitude is giving me hallucinations. That's all it is. This. Is. Not. Happening."
A piece of the cord snapped off, hitting you in the forehead. Shakily, you brought one hand up, touching the spot, and brought it to your face. A few drops of blood began to seep into the crevices of your skin.
"Oh Hell."
Before you could scream, before you could call out for help, before you could throw anything at the dog, before you could do anything, the rest of the cable snapped.
*grabbs assorted sharp objects* If you end it here, I swear I'll...
You felt a rush of cold air whip past your face as the bottom dropped out of your stomache. You were too stunned to scream; all you could do was stare blankly at the receeding form of the dog as you tumbled to your apparent doom. It appeared to be grinning.

The handrail you'd clung to so desperately came snapping off and hit you in the leg. You became dimmly aware of a burning sensation where it hit.
"Oh God."
"Oh, God, help me. Help me. Someone."
"HELP ME!!!"
You screamed. A flash of black came streaking through the window of your tumbling car. With an abrupt jolt, your direction changed. The rough, yet somehow smooth sensation of leather enclosed your delicate skin, and you felt two strong arms wrap around your waist.

The image of the collapseing ferris-wheel, growing smaller as you moved rapidly in the opposite direction, was burned into your retinas. Even when you closed your eyes, there it was. As were the images of Carla's laughing face, still on the ferris, and the dog smiling as you fell. Then, all movement stopped.

A thud broke thwe silence as you were placed on hard surface. You opened your eyes. The starry night sky was above you. And looming above you was a man about your age, with scruffy blonde hair and the palest skin you'd ever seen. His eyes were a flameing crimson, and were focused on you with a cold, hard expression. He was covered entirely in black leather and chains, and protruding from his back was a pair of...
Wings.
Black, membranic, enormous wings, stretched to their full extent, and gleaming with a cold light of their own in the awakening night. His lips quirked into a slight, cold smirk.
"Your welcome."
He said.
And then you succombed to the mercy of unconciousness.
DON'T YOU DARE END IT THERE!!!{a/n }=) Mwahaha...*gets speared with assorted sharp objects.}
Well, that's it for now. You've just plummeted through the air at the hands of a strange black dog, and been rescued by a mysterious boy.
With wings. Yep, just your typical Saturday night. I'll update as soon as I can.
