“Of course. Couldn’t be anything other, Gabe is gay.”

This shocked both of the men, but it was George that spoke up first. “Well then…moving along.” He winked at Sylar and continued to lead them up to the house. Sylar looked darkly at Winter as they followed, Winter simply smiled.

They walked into the house. “The bedroom is the last on the right,” He said pointing up the stairs, “To the left is the living room and the right is the kitchen and dining area, and such.” He then turned to Winter and Sylar, “I’ll let you two get comfortable, dinner is at six sharp. If you want something to do, come to the barn.” He smiled at Sylar and walked out the door. Sylar turned to Winter and growled.

“And what did I do to deserve that?” He asked.

“I just wanted to see how you’d react.” She smiled and walked up to the bedroom. He followed her out of pure curiosity.

“So you knew that Farmer Brown was gay?” He asked shocked.

“I got the vibe. Don’t worry about it though, just act the part and we’ll be outta here in a few days.”

“A few days!”

“Yeah, why not? Have you ever been on a farm before? Live a little.” Winter smiled and walked out, leaving Sylar standing there, not sure of what to do. He knew one thing though, Winter was going to pay, one way or another. This was war.

Outside, Winter walked towards the barn, opening the door and walking into the darkness inside. She wandered around a bit she spotted George and walked up to him. Her eyes were wide as she saw what was going on on the other side of the partition. Winter knelt down beside a man, about her age and started to help out in the birth of a baby horse.

About five minutes later there was a new baby colt was brought into the world. ”Hot damn.” The man beside her laid down on the floor. “Thanks.” He breathed and looked at her.

“No problem.” She smiled back. “That was…amazing.”

“I’m Henry, I think I can guess that George invited you to stay here for a while.” Henry said and sat up.

“Yeah, me and my friend Gabe. I’m Winter.”

“Well, Winter. Can I compare thee to a summer’s day?”He smiled.

“…Sure.” Winter blushed.

“I’ll leave you two alone.” George smiled and walked out of the barn, headed to wherever Sylar was.

“Umm, so…how long have you been on a farm?” Winter asked as Henry helped her up.

“Ever since I can remember.” He shrugged and led her up into the loft. “What about you, where are you from?”

“New York.” She smiled as she looked out the window that looked over what seemed to be the entire town. “Does that happen often?”

“What? The birth? Nah, honestly that was my first time.” He stood next to her and looked out as well.

“You did good.”

“You really think so?”

“Yeah.” She smiled to herself and wondered how Sylar was doing with all of this.
