-Thursday-
“So where are you guys going tomorrow?” I asked Talon as we walked down the senior hall together.
He shrugged, “I don’t know. Wherever they take me I guess.” He answered.
I nodded. “Oh no, it’s Greta!” Talon groaned.
I looked over at him and saw that he had his book hiding the side of his face. “Why? What’s wrong?” I asked.
“Ever since Monday, she won’t stop bothering me!”
I scoffed, “She probably likes you.” I said.
He made a gag sound. “Pass. And it’s not like that. She’s mean to me and she hits really hard!”
I raised an eyebrow. “Do you want me to tell her to back off?” I offered.
“That would be great but just write down what you want me to say at your funeral.”
I laughed and as we continued down the hall then I saw Greta approaching us.
“Get out of my way, sophomore.” Greta demanded as she bumped shoulders with Talon.
I stopped in my tracks. “Uh, excuse you.” I said. Greta turned around and gave me a glare.
“What did you just say?” She said, walking towards me.
“Do you not see all of that room in this hallway?” I asked, gesturing to the open space.
She scoffed, “I do but this is the way I always walk to my classes.” She told.
Talon nudged my arm. “What are you doing?” I turned my head towards him.
“I got this.” I whispered.
“You could at least say ‘Excuse me’ when your walking into someone.” I said.
She grunted. “I own these hallways.”
I stepped in front of her face. “We’ll see about that.” I turned around and as I did so, I grabbed onto Talon’s hand and dragged him with me.
“Uhm, how was that telling her to ‘Back off’?” Talon asked.
“I didn’t exactly make a plan!” I said.
“Haha…”
-Math-
I walked into Mr.Kojia’s room and made my way to my assigned seat. Once I reached my seat and sat down, I saw Hayden walking in the room with a grin on his face.
“Good morning.” He said as he sat down next to me.
“Morning.” I said.
“So are you going to my party tomorrow or what?” He asked.
I looked up from the floor. “Huh? Oh. Uh yeah. I’ll be there.” I answered.
“Cool. I’ll text you the address.” He said.
I rolled my eyes. “You’re a persistent one aren’t you?” I asked.
“Hey- I’m just an innocent dude who wants a girls’ number…” He said with his hands up in defense.
I chuckled. “Pshyeah, innocent.”
Hayden suddenly gave me a pout and puppy dog eyes. “Whatever, I give up. It’s 780-3281.”
I saw him quickly write down my number on his arm with a pen. “Sweet deal. How bout’ I call you instead?”
I shrugged. “Hm, that’ll be good cause- I want to talk to you about something important.”
“Sounds like a plan.”
-Next Day, 7:00 PM-
“And no drinking!” I said as I gave Destery a kiss on the lips.
“Yes mother.” He mumbled as our lips touched.
I broke the kiss and Destery gave me a small smile. “Are you sure you won’t be lonely?” He asked grabbing my hand.
I rolled my eyes. “I’m not four, dude. I’ll find something to do.” I said.
He smirked. “Okay. I’ll see you later.” He said as he kissed me on the cheek.
“Oh wait- what time will you be back home?” I asked.
“Hmm… One-ish?” He said sounding unsure.
“Is…that… okay?” He asked.
I laughed. “Yeah. Just don’t come home, too, late.” I said.
He nodded. “Later kid.” He said as he gave me another kiss on the lips.
I smiled and watched Destery walk out of the door. Then I saw him jog down to his car through the window. I kept watching and after I saw him zoom out of the drive way I rushed upstairs to get dressed for Hayden’s party.
I got into my room and started searching for a cute outfit to wear. As I was searching for a decent shirt to wear, I couldn’t stop thinking about the conversation Hayden and I had last night.
-Flashback-
“I-I can’t believe it.” I heard Hayden say.
“H-he, did t-that for me?” He questioned.
“Y-Yeah.” I said in a horse voice.
He kept silent. “You okay?” I asked.
“Y-Yeah. I just- he’s such a great friend…” He sighed.
I smiled. “You guys should really talk.” I suggested.
“I’m so speechless.” He said, giving me another sigh.
“How about you sleep on this and I’ll see you tomorrow.” I said.
“Yeah. Uh, thanks for telling me. I’ve been such an idiot.”
-End Flashback-
‘Now my body’s lying on the floor and I am calling
Well I’m calling out for you,
Can you hear me now?-‘
“Hello?” I answered.
“Arrow, looks like I can give you a ride after all!” I heard my new friend Emilee say through the phone.
“Oh sweet! Your parents let you go?” I asked as I slipped on my black skinny jeans.
“Yup, but it took me for-ever to beg.” She said.
I chuckled. “Sweet deal. What time are you going to pick me up?” I asked her.
“How bout’ in fifteen?” She said.
“Sounds good.”
-Party-
Emilee and I finally reached Hayden’s house. It was a fairly big house but it was pretty huge compared to his neighbors. Cars were parked around everywhere and lights flashed through the windows.

^ Hayden's House ^
Once Emilee and I got inside of the house, music rang to my ears.
“Oh my god. I love this song! C’mon, let’s dance!” Emilee grabbed onto my hand and started pulling me but I denied.
“Uh you- you go ahead, I’ll catch up!” I shouted.
She nodded and began to dance with a random guy. I sighed and looked around the dim room. There were a lot of people from my school that I knew and a lot that I didn’t but thing is- I felt like I was Cameron’s party all over again.
Lost and A lone.
And like Cam’s party- people were making out everywhere.
Seriously, dudes. Get.A.Room.
“Hey Arrow.” I heard someone say from behind me.
I whipped my body around and saw Hayden standing behind me with a MONSTER can in hand.
“Oh hey, Hayden.” I greeted.
He smiled. “Did you just get here?” He shouted over the music.
I nodded. “Want to dance?” He asked.
“What?”
“Want. To. Dance?!” He repeated.
“Oh! U-Uh… N-no. I don’t dance!” I answered.
“How about to a slow song!” He asked,
“N-no thanks!”
He pouted. “You’re not feelin’ the party so much are you?” He asked.
I gave him a nervous smile. “Ha-ha, that’s- Bout’- room?” What did he just say?
“What did you say?” I asked.
He then shook his head. He started walking towards me and then grabbed onto my hand.
“Let’s go to my room!” He said.
I tried refusing by trying to pull my hand away but he was too strong.
What was he doing!? I am not going to his room with him! What if he rapes me!
What if he doesn’t?
Pf! What if he does?!
I suddenly bumped into something hard. “Ouch.” I said. “Thanks for the warning.” I said- rubbing my head.
Hayden looked over his shoulder and smirked. “No problem. Come in.” He suddenly opened a door and leaded me into a dim lit room.
“Wow. Nice room.” I said as I ran my hand across the wooden dresser.
“Haha, clean, too!” I said.
He chuckled. I heard squeaking of the mattress as I heard Hayden sit down on his bed. “So uh… why did you bring me up here anyways?” I asked as I turned around.
He shrugged, “I don’t know. Just to talk.” He said.
I smiled nervously; I’m not letting my guard down. “R-right. So… what do you want to talk about?” I asked.
“You.” He said flatly.
My eyes grew wide. “Me?” I asked, pointing to myself.
“Y-yeah…” I watched him get up from the bed and walk towards me.
I backed up as he got closer but suddenly- no escape. I was trapped between him and the wall.
“U-uh…I-d-don’t.”
“Shh…” He hushed as he placed a finger over my lips.
What was he doing?! Is he trying to kiss me!?
“H-Hayden, stop.” I said, trying to push him away.
He gripped both of my wrists tightly in his hands and kept coming closer and closer. I tried moving away but he had me trapped.
“What are you doing?” I whispered as I budged around.
“Relax…” He whispered.
My eyes grew wide once again. I couldn’t speak. I was absolutely frozen as I watched him inch closer to me. He finally stopped once our lips were centimeters away. I held my breath.
Then all of a sudden, I heard him burst out into laughter. “Hahaha, got cha’!” He laughed.
I released the kept air into a sigh. “You freaking- gah!” I said as I hit him in the arm.
“You should have seen your face, dude!” He said, pointing at me.
I placed my hand over my chest and huffed. “I thought you were actually going to-“
“Psh, kiss you? Nah. Your Destery’s girl, I would never do that.” He said as he plopped onto his bed.
I took a deep breath and sat down next to him. For a good five minutes, we sat in silence- well, kinda.
I saw at the corner of my eye that Hayden took a glance over at me. “H-hey. Do you want to see some old pictures of my and Des?”
I looked over at him with a smile. “Sure!” I said.
Hayden then looked under his bed, reached under, pulled out a photo album and then laid it on his lap.
He opened it up and began flipping through pages. “Oh- here’s me and Destery on the first day of Jr. High.”
I looked over to a picture with two skinny short kids standing in front of a huge middle school with kids scattered all over... Both of the boys had blonde hair, had on- blue jeans, black converse and American Eagle polo’s.
I chuckled. “What’s up with the matching out fits?” I asked as I flipped to the next page.
He shrugged, “I don’t even remember.” He said, laughing.
As I looked through the pictures, I felt a sudden sting in my eye. “Ouch.” I said as I brought my hand up to touch my eye.
“What’s wrong?” Hayden asked. “Here- let me take a look.” He said, getting closer to me.
I blinked a couple times; maybe blinking will help the pain away? “Oh, you got an eyelash in there.” He said.
But suddenly I heard the door open, “What the hell? Get the fuck off her!”
I looked over Hayden and saw Destery standing in the doorway looking very angry.
Oh boy.
“Get the hell away from her!” Destery said as he pulled Hayden away.
“Destery! What is wrong with you!?” I asked getting up.
“What is wrong with me!? What’s wrong with you? You’re the one making out with Hayden!”
Is he kidding me?!
“What?! What are you talking about, Destery!?” I asked, very confused. “We weren’t kissing!”
“Oh really?! Cause it sure looked liked it! Is this what you meant by ‘finding something to do?!”
“Destery, you’re over reacting!” I said.
“Nothing happened, dude! You’re totally misunderstanding everything!” Hayden said.
“Oh yeah- I’m sure!” Then Destery suddenly punched Hayden in the face, sending him to the ground.
My eye grew wide. “What are you doing, calm down?!” I asked, pulling him back.
I couldn’t believe this, “You know what? I don’t care that you haven’t talked to me for over a year now but just stay away from my girlfriend, okay!?” Destery yelled.
“Destery!”
“C’mon we’re leaving!” Destery said as he grabbed my hand and started tugging me towards the door.
“Destery nothing happened up there!” I said, gripping onto Destery’s hand.
“We’ll talk about this later.” He said, not looking back.
Oh great.
“Get in the car.” Destery ordered as I heard the doors unlock.
I opened his car door and got in. Destery put the key into the ignition and then drove out of the neighborhood. We sat in silence as he drove. Everything was happening so fast. I then took a glance over at Destery; who looked really pissed.
“C-can we talk about it?” I asked.
I heard him give out a big sigh. “Alright- let’s talk about it. What happened?” He asked.
“Nothing. Nothing happened. “I replied.
“Pshyeah.” He scoffed.
“Destery!”
“Then what were you doing in his room!?” He asked, keeping his eyes on the road.
“Looking at pictures!” I said, telling the truth.
“Oh wow. What a lame excuse. Jeez, I would expect more from a smart ass like you!”
My mouth dropped, this could not be happening! “Destery! You’re overreacting!” I said.
“Me? I just saw my girlfriend and my ex-best friend kissing on his bed!” He said, raising his voice.
“Wh- oh my god. We. Weren’t. Kissing! An eyelash fell into my eye and he was just taking a look at it!” I explained.
He didn’t reply. “Do you understand now?” I asked placing my hand on his.
“How much of an idiot do you think I am?” He said, taking his hand under from mine.
“Destery! Don’t you trust me!?” I asked, as I felt my eyes starting to sting.
I saw that he gripped onto the steering wheel harder, making his knuckles turn white. Then he sighed and sped up. “Do you?” I asked.
He didn’t answer. I then felt a tear roll down my cheek. I can’t deal with this now.
“Stop the car.” I ordered.
Suddenly the car jerked to a stop, sending me into my seatbelt. I sighed, took off my seatbelt and opened the door. “Where are you going?” Destery asked.
“Away from you.”
