For two months, Hero and the Gaang hung out at times she could. She had lots to do with the rest of the world and her family. Kya had gotten a small cut on her leg from a thorn bush and it was a little infected, so now Hero was busy healing it….when the gang came up.

“Hero do you kno-“ Katara cut off when she saw the two by the river, Hero concentrating on Kya’s cut, eyes closed as she healed her. “Mom…” Kya opened her eyes, eyes wide, but a smile on her face. Hero stopped healing and turned, the whole group had a smile on their faces. And that’s when Ursa came out.

“Hero…Um, a platypus-bear attacked me.” Her arm was bloodied and mangled. Hero sighed.

“Come here, then you can hug your son.” Zuko was shocked, but happy as ever. The children to the mothers attacked them, hugging them tight.

“Mother, what…Ive been looking for you.” Zuko said. Hero smiled from the opposite side of the woman, healing her arm.

“I know, Zuko. I knew this would eventually happen. Kya and I will explain after I am healed.” That’s when Suki spoke up.

“You never told us you could bend!” Hero groaned and looked up as she finished.

“Looks like im going to be explaining also.” She said. Kya laughed.

“Baby doll, if we have to explain, then you do.” Hero smiled and nodded. They headed into the small hut, Hero sitting next to Zuko, who sat next to Ursa, then Sokka and Suki, then Kya, Katara, Toph and Iroh.

“So who’s going to explain?” Iroh asked the two women. Hero sighed.

“How about I just do it? Really, it starts with me.” Everyone nodded. “Okay, so…I was born on an island in the exact middle of all four nations to Herona and Leo Bay….

My mother was a water bender, my father a fire bender. The woman screamed as she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, finally able to hold her in her arms. The woman had dark crimson hair and violet eyes, while the man had long black hair and blue eyes. The two smiled down at the baby girl before them, her strait red hair matching her mothers, while her eyes were a mix of both. We lived alone, hiding from everyone, mostly the fire nation. I was a kid genius, learning to walk and talk by the age of five months. My mother taught me everything of the four nations, everything of bending, everything of…everything. The woman stood next to the young baby, who stood looking up at her mother in amazement. Water danced around her in swirls of blue and green, making both laugh. The man came up and picked up his daughter, who squealed. My mother taught me to water bend, and when I saw my father fire bender, dueling my mother in spars, I tried it too. When it worked, I showed my father, and he taught me that. Guessing the same as me, my mother helped me to earth and air bend, learning by watching them while she traveled. A little girl was dueling her parents with earth, air water and fire, a smile forming on her face as she won. One day…things went horribly wrong. The family was dueling on a cliff, when a fire ball came spiraling from the other direction. Fire Navy ships were swimming in the waters. My parents went to fight, and left me in the house. I grabbed the daggers my mother left behind, the fans and Katanas, the poison and knifes my father used and headed out to find them. I never did… I waited three months, and never found them. After a year of living on my own on the island, I turned two. I hitched a ride on a fire navy ship and wandered the streets of the Fire Nation. A little girl with bright red hair stole from a near by vender, jumping into the shadows and back to her ‘house’. That’s when I learned how to bend energy. I cant bend light, but I can bend shadows and darkness. The girl used her powers to get food and money. She hurried to her house, coming back the next day and repeating it. After weeks of getting caught, running and stealing, she stumbled across two women. By now I was five. Ursa and Kya took me in and we made a house out here. I showed them what I could do, and they helped me master it all.

We travled the world, following you all and watching you. People across the world knew my name as I stole and helped all I could. Kya told me of the raid in the south pole, faking her own death by taking an unidentable body and placing it where she would have been to confuse Katara and Sokka, still for their safety. Ursa told me of the night she left to save Zuko, running from Ozai. We lived here ever since, and then Zuko and I met.” Everyone was amazed.

“You’re the avatar…and more.” Aang said. Hero shrugged it off.

“Yeah, yeah, tell me about it.”

“Wow…” Was all Suki could manage. “So you’ve mastered all the elements, and you’ve mastered fighting with out bending?” Hero shook her head.

“Actually, Ursa, Kya and I have been making up our own moved to everything. We will never master anything.” Aang sighed.

“it would have been so much easier if you were just my teacher.” Everyone laughed.

“Yes, it would have.” Iroh agreed. Katara stood up.

“Come on mom! I want to show you my bending!” Zuko did the same for Ursa. Sokka pulled Suki up to watch and Iroh and Aang left also. Hero looked outside to see it was late. She knelt down and pulled out her makeup box, taking out purple and blue paint. She took a brush and a piece of glass, painting her eyes again. Then she took red and orange and painted down her right arm and legs, then added some more blue and purple. She grabbed her fans and Katanas, lock picks and bags and walked out. Everyone ignored her as she left into the shadows.
