“Child now child no need for such nasty behavior instead lets have a chat, take in mind to keep that saliva in your mouth where it belongs…” The little boys’ eyes grew round like the special china his mother kept. The ones with the flowers and bees that he was so keen to play with and be the bad little boy his mother didn’t want.
It had actually just been yesterday when his mother was away and his babysitter was neglecting him he managed to open the china cabinet and bring down a saucer and a cup, he cooed with joy as he stroked the indented designs and let his imagination play a film of dancing bees and singing flowers.
But now that happiness was sucked away, the tall man had stole it, thought the toddler. The tall man steals happiness away from little ones like me and laughs in their faces when he sees the tears starting to leak when they realize it.
His back touched the wall now and there was no where to escape, his heart bounded wildly in his chest. His sweaty palms could feel the beat steadily thumping threw his bunny dolls chest and his own. “Go ‘way! Go ‘way! Go ‘way! Go ‘way!” He chanted as he squeezed his baby blue eyes shut, the same baby blue eyes his mother possessed, the ones she said were the Angels favourite. Even though with his eyes shut tight and his curly brown hair hiding his face he could still see the tall man walking towards him, the tall mans long legs seemed to stretch half way across the floor with each step he took. The boy let out a sob for it seemed nothing would save him, this tall man was a monster, a monster of dark and he was nothing but a crying infant cowering in the corner.
The door whooshed open, the lights flickered on and standing in the doorway was his mommy the warrior. She stood on a gaunt structure with wild sunken baby blue eyes and fizzy golden hair that he loved to smell when he was in her arms. She was his warrior princess the one who would banish the tall man away from him, the one who finally heard his calls of help!
Her eyes darted to him in the corner with his fathers long curled hair and her eyes wide open staring at her hopefully. Her face cracked a weary smile, “Luka” Said her honey and milk voice that made his tears dissolve away. She walked over to him, her long legs covering twice of what the tall man could with intense power. He was soon in her strong arms, the arms that opened his door, the arms that dissolved the tall man away. “Hush, hush little one.” She sung as she rubbed his back with the hands that knew how to calm him.
His eyes fluttered then closed, showing the pale eyelids veins of his fathers blood and hers. His breathing slowed and when she was finished holding him she placed him gently in his crib where he curled up in fetal position. Like he was home in her womb again. She smiled and brushed the long brown hair away from his face admiring his beauty, then left the room.
The glob of snot on the floor was gone.
