There were always days when I wasn't sure what my purpose was going to be in life. Like any teenager, I yearned for something more to school, family, friends, and living in general. What was out there for me, and how could I get it faster?

For years, I wanted to be older. Now that I am, I regret wishing for anything more than youth. Time is the only element that we as human beings cannot start over at a new angle. Those long lines at the DMV seem almost speedy when I think about how impatient and anxious I felt as I awaited my license. Almost.

Since I was just a child, I wanted my life to be fuller and more entertaining, but only by my own standards. Skydiving, bungee jumping, roller coasters that help you in seeing how healthy you've eaten within the past seven years, or even traveling were all out of my league. I was home wherever I happened to be, and I was content. Only when I hit fifteen did I realize that being "content" wasn't nearly enough for me.

Freshman year in high school started everything. I came from a small middle school, and only a few children followed me to my new home. Nervous but excited, I was tossed from room to room without so much as a hello from any of my new peers. Of course, I could see in their eyes that they were as scared as I was. When was "Freshmen Friday"? Where do we eat lunch? Who do I eat with? Can I avoid talking to those people from my old school? Who's a freshman? How can I tell? Who's in my next class? Where?

My biggest question remained to be: Why?

As we were assured, the first week was the hardest. None of the upperclassmen teased us; they were freshmen at one point too. Besides, our dean was the devil in an ugly pinstripe suit. Before I knew it, I wasn't being thrown into class anymore. I could talk to some of my peers. I began to talk to upperclassmen, though they didn't know I was a freshman at first. I stayed in my higher-grade classes without changing my schedule once, unlike most of the other children who switched out of the crazy English teacher's class - which wasn't as bad as seniors said.

But that's not the story I want to type.

The story - more specifically, my story - is one of those love-and-loss, roller coaster, ups-and-downs, highs-and-lows relationship tales. This is one of those fan-fictions you read on websites written by teenagers who have a boring summer or want to be entertained. However, I can guarantee this is different from the fan-fictions teenagers read out of boredom or love for a book character.

Unlike most, this is well-written. This has proper grammar. This is realistic. This is modern. This is logical, sarcastic, lively, spell-checked, edited carefully, and credible. This is an anecdote, written as well as it can possibly be written from a young woman's limited grasp on English grammar and language. This is a story of love with scenes and language suitable for people who know their way around the confusing, mature world.

This is a life.

This is a true love story. My true love story. I call it:
