Everything I'm Not (Shugo Chara[Nagihiko/Ikuto]17)

"You're going to have to trust me right now Nagihiko-kun..." He nodded and you both took off running righ towards the giant X-character, with Remi by your side.

"I always trust you Kanae-chan." With that your heart jumped in glee making Remi respond with a giggle of enjoyment.

"Remi! Character Transform! Melodic Trance!"

"Remi! Character Transform! Melodic Trance!" The euphoric feeling was over comed by the sadness in the hall. You could see your friends eyes light up in hope as they saw you charge towards them.

"When I say go, I want you to slide okay?" He nodded and you surged before him. He shadowed you as you whipped out your guitar.

"A One!"

You jumped onto the back of the gigantic X chara.

" A Two!"

You used both of your feet and front flipped over its shoulder, to give you a nice clear shot of its face.

" A One, two, three! Go!"

You spun your guitar into place, from around your back. Using your pick, you made a powerful strum across the chords. Instantly a burst of millions of sparkling green notes attacked the dark chara. It wavered back, slightly knocked off balance. This bought Nagihiko just enough time to slide between its legs and find refuge with the others.

You gracefully landed upon your feet, your guitar in hand, in front of the guardians. You stood firmly in place and faced the giant X chara. It brushed the last of your musical notes away before starring down at you angrily.

"Useless?!" It roared angrily at you.

"Cha! Alright! Welcome to my stage!" You spread your arms out enthusiastically, as if the ringmaster would do in a circus. "For this game I need a volunteer!" You cheered.

"Useless!" It cried flinging its arm up, building up the strength to attack you with another blast of dark energy waves.

You pointed directly to it, with a giant grin on your face. "Cha Neh! Thank you very much!" You turned to the guardians, with your back towards the X chara. "This will be battle of the performances! The person to beat their opponent in 3 moves wins!" You winked towards them. "So take a seat, relax and Watch. The. Show!"

"USELESS!" It cried with an irk mark upon its forehead. It swiped its arm down upon you, releasing the majority of its energy in the first attack.

Without turning around, you called upon your first performance. "First performance: Rhythmic Beat!" You quickly plucked different chords, making a fast paced, bass sounding beat. The air whipped around the guardians and yourself. From your feet, large glowing green hoops of light emitted from your feet like ripples in water. As the ripples expanded further around you and the others, streaks of green light rocketed over you onto the opposite side of the hoop, creating a dome over everyone. This got faster and faster until your fingers came to a steady rhythm. This was able to shield you and the guardians from any harm that the X chara's attack could do.

The guardians looked around them as the green ribbons acted like a shield between themselves and the attack.

Nagihiko looked up towards you from his kneeling position upon the floor. Your image reflected through his eyes as he saw how much you’ve grown. Your eyes were closed in focus as a solemn as a slight frown burdened your lips. A bead of sweat rolled down your temple, you could feel the strain from the dark energy around you. Contrary to what your friends could see, you were having a difficult time concentrating.

“Kanae…chan…”

At the sound of your name, you glanced up, fatigue glazed over your eyes. Your eyes met Nagihiko’s and you could see the realization go through his mind. You straightened your posture and winked towards him, attempting to ease his mind.

You could see a blush cross his features, but he did not look away as he felt his heart skip a beat.

‘Wh-what was that, Remi-chan!” you mentally groaned. Her flirtatious characteristics were starting to show themselves through you. It was embarrassing really. You could hear her giggle as you sighed.

“Kyah!” Snapping out of your mental bliss, you found Amu and Yaya hard-pressed to their knees. Their eyes closed tightly as they held Tadase and Kukai close. You looked up to see the X eggs ramming themselves against your barrier, while the giant X chara prepared for another attack.

CRACK!

You spun your attention to the left, as the muscle memory in your fingers continued to strum. The black eggs on the left side formed a circle and rapidly spun themselves, ramming into your barrier like a chainsaw. The relentless pounding in the same spot, your barrier was slowly starting to give in. A crack was slowly starting to spread away from its vocal point and began to make itself bigger

You strummed faster, attempting to fix the dome and make it stronger. You could feel your hand and arm begin to stiffen up from the strain.

“I wasn’t good enough!”

“I can’t do anything right!”

“I’m so stupid!”

You could hear all the different people shouting through their hearts. You attempted to ignore it, but their cries of pain kept getting louder. You could barely concentrate on what you were doing. You attention was spread through the X eggs, your friends, the giant X chara, and the cries of the people.

“I’m so…USELESS!”

You couldn’t take it anymore…

You heard all the people cry in unison as the X chara swung down upon you. Your concentration was finally broken.

Pong……….

‘A-A wrong note? N-No!’ You cried in your mind. Looking up your barrier exploded into shards before fluttering upon you, disintegrating into beautiful glitter.

‘Nae-chan! Duck!’ Remi warned.

“Kanae-chan! Move!” Nagihiko and Amu jumped towards you in an attempt to move you out of the way. But the X chara was just too quick for them.

Your eyes widened just before you were swatted away like a fly. With the barrier gone, there was nothing left to guard you. Your heart skipped a beat as your breath was taken from you as you flew through the air. You flew through the air, doing back flips and spins that you never knew you could do. As you neared the floor, you flipped once more before skidding to a stop. You braced yourself upon one knee as you leaned forward. Your vision was unfocused as you tried to steady yourself with your hands.

Although the image was slightly blurred you sighed in relief when you realised they were unharmed. They waved their arms in the air, as if trying to show you something.

“Useless?” Your eyes widened as you slowly turned your head to look up. There smiling in victory was the X chara with its foot raised above you.

“Shi-shi-shi-shi….USELESS!” It laughed before plummeting its foot down upon you.

"NO!"

Okay so I said that this would be the last chapter...well I lied...There will be at least one more chapter to this arc, then Kanae gets to graduate =3
Oh and Nagihiko is the one who said "No!" at the end. Who else would it be? ;D
