Dumbledore's Girl (A Sirius Story) Chapter 1

You stand on the platform of 9 and 3/4 at King's Cross station. You wait in line to get on to the Hogwarts Express, nervous as hell and alone. You are surounded by Crying mothers of first years, and proud fathers of seventh years. When you notice all of this you suddenly become overwhelmingly depressed.
About 2 weeks eariler, your parents died in a horrific car crash. Since you have no other relatives in America, in your parents' will, it is stated that you must go to London. You have never met this family before. In the will, it says that "Delilah is to stay with LESLIE'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY", which ultimately means they are magical. Since you presume they are magical, you hope that you won't have to hide your magical abilities, like you used to back home. You have heard many great stories about Hogwarts, since your mother went there for all 7 years. Only 2 months out of Hogwarts, she was running around trying to find a job, when she met a charming young American. He was taking a semester abroad at Oxford. Your mother fell in love with him for his knowledge, Your father fell in love with her for her big, almond shaped Purple eyes. Your mother never told him about her magical past, and for one whole year, he believed she was a muggle. Until the day he proposed to her, that's when she told him she was magical. She was scared he would leave her becasue she wasn't "normal". But he loved her and took her to America, and hid her magical powers from their suburban neighboorhood. Until about 3 years after they were married, she became pregnant with a baby girl. They named you Delilah because in Hebrew it means Delicate, and they thought of you as their delicate flower. But for the 15 years you knew your parents, not once have you ever heard or seen your mother's madien name. It never puzzled you, you just thought it was odd. But you just presumed that she was only given one name at birth.
Now at 15 you are parentless, and in a strange place. Finally the line starts moving.
After passing what seemed to be 15,000 full compartments, you found one that was completly empty.
"Score" you said to yourself. You quickly opened the door, Took out your copy of "The Scarlet Letter" and threw your bag into the overhead compartment. You sat down on the left side bench and started to read.
You read for about 10 muintes until you heard a loud knocking. You looked up and saw a pair of the most brilliant green eyes.

You groaned, and got up from your seat.
"Yes?" You asked opening the door hard.
"Hi! I was wondering if Me and My friend could join you? all of the other compartments are full." The Green eyed girl said. She was very beautiful and had red hair. Her friend was an average 15 year old girl with short blonde hair. Her eyes were very small, almost like slits and looked very distraught.
"Is she ok?" You asked the green eyed girl.
"Who Amanda? oh no, she just lost her glasses, and can't see a thing. Should show her not to mess with James Potter."
"Well, he was making fun of you and I had to stand up for you! I didn't know he was gonna break my glasses!" Amanda cried
"I don't believe I've seen you before, what house are you in?" The green eyed girl said, eyeing you up.
"I'm not in a "house", well not yet. I just moved here from america' You explained
"OH! that's why you have an accent!" The green eyed girl exclaimed. "Anyways, my name is Lily Evans. This is Amanda Dunlop."
"I'm Delilah Parker."
"Oh, who's your friend Delilah? she looks excatly like you? is she your twin?" Amanda asked.
"Um, are you sure she's ok?" You asked Lily.
About 15 minutes of the two girls gabbing about their summers, the compartment do opened again.
"Who now!?" You thoguht angrily.
4 boys walked into the conmpartment. The first one was a 5'9 boy with matted black hair. He had brown eyes and glasses.Behind him a was a handsome young man with matted black hair as well. His bangs fell into his eyes but looked swept like he just walked onto a windy street. He had blue grey eyes thay were filled with mischeif. Behind him was a tall boy who also had red hair. His nose was buried in a book so you couldn't make out spefic features. And behind him was a cubby short boy.
As the boys entered, the blue-grey eyed boy looked around the compartment, and his eyes landed right on you.
"Hi lily, mind if we join you?" The brown eyed boy asked.
"James Potter! How dare you ask that after what you did to Amanda!" Lily exclaimed
"Don;t worry I had my dad fix them before I got on the train. Told him they were mine, I got in mighty big trouble for it"
"Serves you right!" Amanda shrieked, AS James handed her her glasses. As she placed them on she gasped, and looked directly at you.
"Where'd your twin go? she was just there!" Amanda said to you in disbelif. You couldn't help but laugh.

After you started laughing the boys started asking you the same questions the girls did before. You gave the same answers as before only with less enthusaium.
"No I'm not in a house"
"I'm from America."
"My name is Delilah Parker."
And soon you found out all of the boys' names. James introuduced himself. Soon the Blue-Grey eyed boy finally stoped staring at you and said his name was Sirius Black. The Chubby one piped up and said his name was Peter Pettigrew, and the Bookworm said his name was Remus Lupin.
"So why are you in London?" Sirius Asked
That struck a nerve with you. you didn't even tell your best friends in the world, before you left, about your parents dying. Why would you tell a group of strangers? So you came up with the best lie.
"I'm taking a semester abroad." You said proudly.
"But Hogwarts doesn't host semester students." Remus stated.
"Well they're making an exception for me." You said, and returned to your book. You could feel eyes pericing you. So you looked up and saw sirius look directly at you.
"Your lying" Sirius stated.
"I am not!" you exclaimed
"Yes you are, I can see it in your eyes."
You gave a big sigh. You had to tell someone right? It's better than going to therapy when your 30.
"Ok fine, I'm really over here becasue 2 weeks ago both my parents were killed in a car crash." You started, and Lily gasped.
"So in my parents's will it said that I was to go to Londo to finish schooling at Hogwarts where my mother went. My father was a muggle."
"So who's the new family your living with?" Remus asked
"i don't know exactly, The only thing I got was this letter 3 days ago saying to meet them st Hogwarts school."
"Woah what if your new family is one of the professors!" Peter laughed.
"What if it's Filch?! How much fun wouldit be to live with Peeves!" James laughed
As they all continued to laugh you felt very uneasy.
"Um if you all don't mind, I'mjust gonna leave for the bathroom." And you quickly ran out the door. You could hear Lily hit James and tell him to stop laughing.
As you speedwalked down the train, you looked frantically for a bathroom not wanting to puke in the train.
Suddenly you didn't watch where you were going you ran right smack dab in to some one and fell to the ground. As you looked up you saw the face of a prominent looking boy. He looked like he was about to kill you for steping on his robes, until someone yelled his name...
