An Unexpected Visitor
"...almost like an
old married couple"

[A couple of months have now passed; Jesse andCorrine are still going strong]
Corrine pulled into Jesse's House, got out, and let herself in. They had become comfortable with each other, almost like an old married couple, causeCorrie practically lived with Jesse now.
"Jess?"Corrine called, searching the house. She had seen his car in the driveway, so she knew he should be there.
"Corrine?" Jesse's Mom asked, seeming suprised.
"Hey Ginger- Where's Jess? We had lunch plans"Corrine said, smiling to Ginger.
Ginger looked at her, stunned. "Really? Cause Jesse left for California for the month last night. He didn't tell you?" She asked, seeming dumbfounded.
Corrine's eyes widened. "What? Cali?" She paused. "When did he find out about this?" She asked.
"He found out like, last month" Ginger said. "I'm sorry, Corrie. I don't know why he wouldn't tell you."
Corrine frowned. "Thanks, Ginger. Do you mind if i stay for a while? I'll just be in his room" She asked, upset at not being able to say goodbye to him.
"mmhm" Ginger said, returning to her dishes.
Corrine walked up the stairs, and into Jesse's room. She looked around, and not much had changed since the last time she'd been in it, which was two days ago. why wouldn't he tell me he was leaving for California? I mean, he never actually asked me to be his girlfriend, but i figured it was close enough she thought. She looked around the room, there were pictures stuck to the wall of him and her. She sat down on the bed, and flew backwards. The smell of him stuck to the sheets and she just layed there for a minute. Then, the door flew open. her eyes fluttered open and she sat up. There, standing in the doorway, was Jesse, with a large boquet of flowers in his hand.
"Jesse!!"Corrie yelled, and jumped to him, kissing him right away, and nearly making him drop the flowers.
"Haha. Gotcha!" Jesse said, kissing her back.
Corrine jumped off of him, and smirked. "You're horrible. And you got your mom in on it? Oooh, you're bad." She said, smiling the whole time.
Jesse laugh, "I know, i'm bbbaadd" He said, chuckling, and held out the flowers. "These, are for you" He said, handing them to her.
"Jesse McCartney, you are the sweetest thing!"Corrine said, almost squealing.
Just then, Corrine's cell phone rang. She pulled it out, and read the caller ID, then rolled her eyes.
"Leyleine?" Jesse asked, a small grin on his face.
"Who else?" She said, flipping the cell phone open.
"What? ...Who is it? ....C'mon, just tell me. .....You're kidding, right? .....My who? .... I'm at Jesse's ..... Okay, i'll be there soon. No, we'll be there soon"Corrine said, and shehung up and looked at Jesse worried...
