Regrets

There were many things left unsaid,
Some I regret and some I don't.
The one thing I didn't regret was letting you go,
Why?
       (Why?)
Because you were my everything,
I guess you didn't know that,
You didn't know a lot of things about me.

You didn't know that I wanted you to want me,
You didn't know that,
I was dying inside,
Jealousy and hurt burning within me,
Whenever you were with someone else.

Did you know how much it hurt?
How much I wanted to die on the inside?
All I wanted was for you to notice me,
For you to smile at me,
That alone would have made my day,
But you never did.

You didn't know that I wanted you to want me,

You didn't know that,

I was dying inside,

Jealousy and hurt burning within me,

Whenever you were with someone else.

But now that you're gone,

From the way you treated me.

You ignored me,
                   (Invisible, invisible to you.)
And you didn't realize it,
                         (Did you even give a damn?)
Realize how much it hurt.
                     

You didn't know anything,
                          (Anything, anything at all.)
Anything about me,
All you cared about was getting what you wanted.
                                                    (You're selfish, selfish, selfish.)
And all I cared about was you.
                                     (I regret, regret caring for you.)
But now I'm so glad that you're gone.
                        (Finally, you're gone.)
