Artwork/Need Help Killing Artist’s Block

I recently put out a poll asking if I should post some of my artwork, so here it is. Before anyone says anything, I did NOT, I repeat, DID NOT steal these from DeviantArt- I HAVE a DA account, which these are posted to… it’s just that I like to keep my accounts separate across different sites. Just a personal preference.

Small note: I didn’t post this looking for a critique, or anything, just to let people see them. Feedback is nice, though. Also, I am PAINFULLY aware of how badly organized this looks. It's 100% Quizilla's fault. It keeps moving my damn pictures, no matter how perfectly I format the journal.

** There’s a reason they’re so small- I resized them, because my scanner makes everything HUGE. If I put the normal sized ones, it would crash this page for sure. They’re just that big. I put in “detail” shots to show them a little larger, but they’re still not even close to the level of huge the originals have.**

For now, I’m just going to post these three pictures (and detail shots), because….

1. I have REALLY REALLY BAD artist’s block, so I haven’t been able to draw much recently. I’d love it if you’d suggest something, though. (Knowing what I like might help you, so read further on, towards the end)

2. I’d rather die than release my own characters (at least ones I use) onto the internet. I’ve already been stolen from quite a few times before. (Hence my name and profile URL on the pictures) Unfortunately, my characters make up 99% of what I draw.


1. Colette Brunel- Tales of Symphonia
A sketch I did when one (out of over 2,000….) of my DA watchers suggested it to me (they were one of like, three people who actually made a suggestion). I then scanned it in and colored it using Paint Tool SAI and my tablet.


2. Fujiwara no Mokou- Touhou Imperishable Night
I felt compelled to draw Mokou for some reason, so I did. This is the first thing I ever colored using SAI. I’m actually pretty happy with it.

3. Kaichou Izumi (last name, first name)- Original
This was a character I created because I suddenly felt inspired to do so one day. I colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils, then scanned it in. I might use her for something (like a roleplay) someday, but for what, I don’t know. Maybe she looks like she could fit in with some fandom or other. I normally don’t create characters this way (Every other time, I pick a fandom, then design something to fit with it).

Here’s a bonus pixel art of Izumi. This was originally her alternate outfit, but I like it better than her original, so this will probably be her default.


**FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO HELP WITH ARTIST’S BLOCK**
It would probably help you a lot to know what fandoms I’m into, so you can suggest something to help me find inspiration to draw. Here’s a list, with what’s current and what’s not:

**Please note that I DO NOT ship ANY pairings. None at all. I don’t think I’m really good (or even ok) at drawing couples, so you might not want to suggest that… even though I want to improve at drawing them. Not shipping anything doesn’t really help my case at all. **

Mostly, I’d consider drawing characters I’m fond of (especially since I can actually make guys look like guys now) and things like old OCs I don’t really use anymore (for nostalgia purposes).

I’m open to all suggestions (doesn’t mean I’ll do them, though), because this artist’s block has lasted for a few months now, and I’m going insane.
