One Year Anniversary~
Supanova was absolutely amazing!! There were rows upon rows of stores. Took us an hour of waiting in a line, out in the boiling sun, but pfft, was so worth it. Honestly, half of the people attending were cosplaying, it was so much fun. A guy went as Iron Man, and he had a striking resemblance to Robert Downey Jr. Not as handsome, of course, but still;
Oh, this guy went dressed up as the grim reaper, and had a ‘Free Hugs’ sign strapped around him. All my friends and I got hugs, and he’d literally try to squeeze the life out of you. It was pretty fun xD Oh, and the stalls were spectacular! I ended up buying a poster of Caboosisms from the Red vs. Blue stall, a poster of Edward Scissorhands from an artist in the artists’ alley, and a Death Note. Yeah, I went there. Ah, I had the money to buy a wall scroll of Izaya and Shizuo, but dang, was it huge. Like, I-don’t-have-a-free-wall-that-can-fit-the-freaking-scroll, huge.
. . . They were selling dakimakura. And before you ask, they were the innocent kind!! Anyway, specifically there was one of Izaya. I wanted it so badly, but you know, if I ended up coming home with it, I’d have a hard time explaining that to my parents.
Parents: “So honey, what did you get from the convention?” ^_^?
Me: “Well, a few posters, a Death Note, and, uh, well . . . *cough*ASlightlyProvocativePillowThatYouHug*cough*” ;D
Parents: 0_0’’
Needless to say, that wouldn’t go down very well. . . Maybe when I get my own little apartment –looks off into the distance all dreamily-
In any case, it has come to my attention that I’ve finally surpassed one year on Quizilla. Party popper time~! ~~~ヾ(＾∇＾)
Eh, nothing much other than that. I watched the season finale of Alcatraz the other day. *Spoiler* Live, Rebecca, live! You must live! There has to be some kind of plot twist coming up! I know it! *End Spoiler*
I’m excited, because a good friend of mine in the grade above agreed to do a picture of my best friend and me with Shizuo and Izaya, so we can look back in our twenties and go, “Pffftaahahah, we were such dorks!” . Yes, we’re taking the fangirl occupation to the next level.
