Final thoughts on Red Winged

Hello everyone! This post is the evolution of what was going to be a cast party story post. It invovled drunken Roy and Angel deciding Al was adorable and protective Ed and a one armed Scar tied up in the bathroom. Quite fun.

But probably only to the easily amused, like me.

So instead, you get this. I've broken up the sections into some headers so if you've not interested in a part you can skip it.

Reader Love
Many thanks to anyone who voted, messaged, picked quizes and read. I hope I've had a chance to thank most of you in my memos, if I missed you somewhere, it's not because I didn't appreciate it, it's because I'm a space case.

But there are a few people who have been with me from the begining or faithful with me all the way through or through my quiet times. First is Elemantdragongirl, my first official messaging-fan who has given support all the way through. Really, Red Winged wouldn't have wandered through 'til the end without her. Also thanks to SweetMadoka, another of my wonderful early readers, and SpongeyAdele, Bluedesert and ZiokoAngelofdeath, all who came to the party late, but livened it up. ^_^

^_^* I'm sure I'm forgetting someone I really shouldn't, and this is mostly based on messages, not picks, which is probably bad of me. Anyways, ONWARDS!

On the Writing

I actually like how the writing came out in this. It's one of my first attempts at second person, I'm normally a third person girl. There are a few continuity bumps, but that just comes from posting chapter by chapter.

On the Characters

CANON CHARACTERS: Made wonderful by their original creator, and I know I didn't get them perfect, but I think I got them alright.

ANGEL: I tried to keep her from being a Mary Sue, I really did! I don't think she's perfect, I think she's human. And while she may have some Sue qualities... hey, this is self-insert. We can all be ordinary in our real lives. I post this on Quizilla because I know people here are open to a bit of writing/reading for fun, not a Pulitzer.

CHRIS: Became a plot device. *wince* I actually do know this, and I hate it. Chris is one of my favorites, and he does have his own story and reasons and personality. A lot was cut because I was trying to keep the focus on Angel/Roy.

Future Writings

ARE NOT LIKELY.

I'm sorry, even I think the ending screams for a sequel. There are, however, two very good reasons for this. The first is the same one that slowed updates. I have a life, it is crazy, and I like it that way so I have little time for fanfic writing. The second is, if you've noticed a lack of Angel in ending parts, due to a move Angel now lives several thousand miles from Hlynn. And while we keep in touch, it's not the same as sitting in the same room typing together. This was always a joint effort.

That said, I'm not dead, and I do get bitten by the plot kitties every now and again, even for something I thought I'd never write again. So there WILL be a poll on possible future writings. It is in no way binding, and don't hold your breath to ever see any of them. ^_^

Future writing options:

Door Number One: White Winged Angel. Prequel to the events of Red Winged Alchemist, detailing the events of the Ishbal war and how Angel and Roy first met. Lengthing of the events in Memories. Estimated 10 parts.

Door Number Two: White Winged Alchemist Happy Ending: Sequel to Red Winged Alchemist, set in an Alternate universe where Hughes doesn't die and Roy is on his way to becoming Fuhrer. Unkown length.

Door Number Three: White Winged Alchemist Non-movie ending: Sequel to Red Winged Alchemist, taking place after the end of the series, without taking the movie into account. Roy on his way to becoming Fuhrer. Unknown length.

Window Number One (Because we're out of Doors): White Winged Alchemist Movie Ending: Uses the situation the movie sets up, may or may not include the events of the movie. Roy out of the military spotlight. Unkown length.

The Room You Are In: Leave the story where it is. No length.
