second interview

later than expected, but it's still here, so there ya go

interviewer: Scott
interviewee: me

Scott: hello Rina, welcome, it's great to have you here.
Rina: thanks Scott, it's nice to be here.
Scott: alright, so, I understand that you've been writing a Joker story fanfiction, and it's been getting quite a few reviews. would you mind telling us a little bit about it?
Rina: um, well, it involves a female protagonist named River, who is kidnapped by The Joker, and he takes a special interest in her, and doesnt want to let her go. so it's basically her struggle trying to break away, but she ends up developing, um, feelings for him in a sick way anyway. so um...ya..
Scott: she develops feelings for him? even though he's a horrific monster to her? would you care to expand?
Rina: well, like, he's cruel to her and everything, but she likes pain, so she doesnt mind. and he has done things that emotionally scar her, but he's the only one who can actually satisfy her sexual needs. also, she's extremely smart, and so is The Joker. he's twisted and moulded her mind to make her someone insane. so she really doesnt know what she feels.
Scott: hmmm, and what are The Joker's feelings for River?
Rina: ummmm.....well, in this particular story, The Joker is incapable of love, but he is capable of affection. so he does feel affection towards River, and is extremely sexually attracted to her in a way he hasnt, um, experienced. so, like....ummm, he doesnt want to kill her because he wont ever be satisfied, erm, sexually again. but he feels protective of her and possesive of her at the same time. it's very complicated, and I'm not very good at explaining it.
Scott: oh really? well, now that we've gotten on the subject of you, let's stick with it. why arent you very good at explaining it?
Rina: oh, ummm....ha, well, I'm not really good at talking in public unless I have a speech prepared.. I'm actually really shy, and am not good at winging it. and I have a hard time expressing my feelings...I dont like to. so when I have to talk abou tmy characters, it's hard, because I put myself in their places and feel the way I think they would feel, so it's hard to express.....
Scott: so, what you're saying is that you actually put yourselves in the character's places in your stories?
Rina: ya, something like that.
Scott: wow, writing must be very emotional for you.
Rina: it is, very much so. when I wrote about River's father dying, I started to cry, because I put myself in her place, and took on her personality and everything, and felt the way she felt. it was actually one of the most difficult scenes to write because I had so much emotion, um ,in me.
Scott: hmm, and do you put yourself in the place of The Joker as well?
Rina: (laughs) ya, I do. umm, as weird and disturbing as that may sound, I do. I take on his personality, and write from his perpective. it's not always the best thing, being inside a killer's head, because I personally believe it has damaged me a lot, but I do it anyway. for the fans, you know?
Scott: yes, speaking of which, did you expect to have such a large number of followers?
Rina: well, I wouldnt exactly call it large, but my story is definitely more, um, popular than I thought it would be. i never thought myself that good a writer, but when I posted the first thirteen chapters, I got a lot of rates and review and reads. it encouraged me, and I grew more confident.
Scott: so, in your story, you've used a lot of foreshadowing, to give the reader an idea as to what will happen next. now, you've mentioned that in River's and Joker's little interludes, they never use protection, and out of all the questions asked about your story, the most common one is "Does The Joker get River pregnant?" what is your answer to that?
Rina: well, (laughs) I dont want to give away the story, because I havent even thought that far, I'm just doing things as I go, and I really wasnt planning on mentioning anything about that, it just sorta popped into my head. and now I have a general idea where the story is going to go. but I still have at least ten or so chapters left, so I'm not gonna say yes or no to that question. but I will tell you that if the story continues the way it's going, the ending is going to be quite, ummm, epic, I guess you coudl say. this ending has actually never been done in a Joker fanfic, at least that I'm aware of, and I'm looking forward to shocking the folks at home (winks at audience)
Scott: well, I'm sure I can speak for all of us when we say we are looking forward to finding out what you have in store for us
Rina:thanks
Scott: now onto your other stories. you are writing other's, am I correct?
Rina: um, ya, occasionally I have trouble getting into the character's places when I write, so I need to move on to something else, and so I came up with another Joker fanfic, and I've already written about half of it. I think that when I'm Scared of Three Things is done, this new one will be done as well. it's not very long, only about twelve to fifteen chapters, if even that. but it's impactful, I think.
Scott: and the others? surely you have more than just one more?
Rina: (laughs) oh, ya, um......well, the one that majority of the fans want next is You Gotta Put The Past Behind You; Unless You're The Joker, so I'm gonna do that one and it's going to really delve into the Joker's past, and that is going to be the story where I reveal what I truly believe happened to The Joker, how he became what he is today. well, int he movie anyway
Scott: so you think you know what his story is?
Rina: no, not the whole thing. but the basic gist of it. like, he's based on the old comic book series, only they made him more realistic, you know, make-up instead of chemical skin you know? so how he became The Joker is going to be very simular to what originally happened to him.
Scott: ah, well, I see you've put some serious thought into this.
Rina: oh ya, I'm obsessed with him, like, BADLY obsessed, and I've studied up on him and everything, and know how his mind works. it's not hard at all to see where he's coming from. not that I'm saying he's right doing what he does, but he does have a point of view. he's definitely not crazy. everything he says makes perfect sense and has a purpose.
Scott: if I didnt know better Rina, I'd say you were gonna turn into him (winks at her)
Rina: (laughs) oh no, I dont think so Scott. nothing in it for me. I just find him very fascinating, thats all.
Scott: I see......so are those the only stories you have in mind? or are there more?
Rina: oh my joker, there are tons more. after Put The Past Behind You, I'll be starting on Joker's Personal Whore, then I'll be doing Scream For Joker, then will come Assasination, and then Be Careful What You Wish For; Or Not, which is actually one I just started based on my life.
Scott: your life?
Rina: ya.....(laughs) I'm making myself the main character, and I'm gonna write about what would happen if The Joker were to come into my life.
Scott: oh wow......so will you be making up your life, or will there be real events from your life?
Rina: everything that I write in that story will be real. real happenings. nothing spiced up, everything about my life. the only thing that will be invented is The Joker, because obviously he's a fictional character, and isnt in this particular world. but other than that......everything will be real.
Scott: hmmm, so you're gonna give hundreds of people a close look into your personal life huh?
Rina: pretty much. nothing that will bring harm to me or my friends, like, I wont give any last names or locations, but enough to give an insight to what my life is like. because believe it or not, I have had a lot of questions about my personal life. some fans have even requested that I put up videos of me. it's weird in a way......I've never had people interested in me doing that, and I almost feel famous! (laughs)
Scott: (laughs) I would imagine so. well Rina, unfortunatly, that's all the time we have today, but I look forward to seeing the rest of your stories, and hope to talk to you again.
Rina: thanks Scott (shakes his hand)
