My wonderful readers, I know you have wondered why I haven't updated since August. Simple: I'm a lazy bi-otch. Not so simple: I miss my friend.
I have not talked to Yumi since September, and it's eating me inside. Most of you know that we're good friends, and what we've been through these past years. Some of you talk to her too, and I'm wondering if you've contacted her at all. I'm not above begging, so I'm pleading to you, if you've heard anything from her, anything at all, please tell me.
I'm relatively positive the majority of you have found a friend over the Internet you could swear was one of your blood, a sister. That' s the way it is with Yumi and me, and this sudden silence from her is agonizing. Maybe you've read the note on her homepage; maybe you're blissfully unaware. Either way, it does not change the fact that I do not even know if she's alive. And that's all I'm asking, really: to know that's she's alive, and okay.
Please, if you have talked to her, tell me. If you actually know her in real life and can physically attest to her well being, please talk to me.
This may seem like an empty threat due to my lack of any updates or new writing, but if I do not hear from her or from one of you about her, come February Indypendens-Sol and I will announce a hiatus, it's length depending on how long it takes us to find Yumi. I'll even take it further, and discontinue either AAWSK or TMM, both of which are nearly done, but worth giving up for the sake of our friendship.
That's how much Yumi means to me: I'm willing to cheerfully give up one of my loves, my writing, for another love, my friend. So please, please, if you anything, anything at all, please do not hesitate to talk to me. I beg of you, let me know if she's okay.
