The Simpsons Movie! [only the most anticipated film o' the year!]
Well, as the title reads, this post is about the most amazing film I have seen this year.The Simpson's Movie!
Quite honestly, this movie was the best thing I have seen all year. And yeah, I saw Harry Potter the Order of the Phoenix, Spiderman 3, Transformers, Fantastic 4, the Silver Surfer, Ocean's 13, Shrek 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 3 etc.
And yet, this film, kicked their arses! Big time!
It's not just because I am a Simpson's Obsesser and own nearly every item of merchandise there is. It's because this was literally the best movie of the summer/winter. And it's going to be HUGE. That's right. Caplocks were used. Georgie means business.
It had everything you could want in a movie. Romance, action, angst, nail-biting thrill, and of course, COMEDY! Oodles of it. I cried with laughter. Several times. It had references to issues relevant to us in today's world and it ripped into them with witty one-liners and such.
The array of celebrity voices was massive too, Erin Brockovich, Tom Hanks, Green Day, Al Brooks, Joe Mantegna, Kelsey Grammer and the list goes on!
Seriously, it was a wonderful, hilarious 87 minute joyride!
10 out o' 10 from me!
But, don't believe me. Go jump on the bandwagon of crazed fans and newbies alike and enjoy the phenomenon that is the Simpsons.
18 years, 400 episodes, one massive movie.
