~~~~~~~~~~~BILL :) OP is done, no complications!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The vocal cord operation of Tokio hotel singer Bill Kaulitz (18) ran well according to information from the bands manager . "with the operation everything ran to plan, and the physician is very confident", said producer David Jost. "the treatment Bill is getting is from one of the best physicians, who specialises on this area. Whether the OP has succeeded however really in such a way that Bill’s voice sounds exactly the same as before , at the moment its to early to tell."
Hamburg - Did he risk his health for the fans?
Singer Bill Kaulitz (18) of of Germany’s most successful Rockband "Tokio Hotel" ("Durch Den Monsun") must undergo an operation of larynx!
The physicians diagnosed a cyst on one of his vocal cords, which must be removed immediately. Without operation, Bills voice could be so strongly attacked (damaged) that he could never sing again.
The completely sold out European tour with concerts in Italy, Sweden, Slovenia,Serbia, Finland, Denmark, Norway and an appearance in Dortmund must be called off.
AN ENORMOUS SHOCK FOR MILLIONS FANS IN THE WHOLE WORLD!
"Bill was already at the beginning of last week in medical treatment with an inflammation of the vocal cords", says "Tokio hotel" - producer and manager David Jost. "A further investigation revealed that a thickening formed on one of the vocal cords , which is preventing a recovery. The cyst must be removed this week operationally (via operation)."
"Usually a thickening of the vocal cords, a so-called Singer’s Knot, is caused by the overstressing of the voice ", says HNO doctor Dr. Julia Vent of the university University of Cologne. "If a singer sings too loud or sings with the wrong pressure, a thickening can form. That is favoured, if the vocal cords already so attacked (damaged) by an infection. (I believe what she’s saying here is that she believes those are the most sensible reasonings for his sickness based on the fact that his vocal cords are so dammaged) A cyst on the larynx is a small,liquid filled blister. The operation takes place via introduction of a pipe through the mouth. Under the microscope the cyst is then cut out with tiny, sharp shears."
After the operation Bill must make a rehabilitation of several weeks in order to avoid long-term damage of his vocal cords.
Producer David Jost: "We really hope that the fans understand that Bills health must stand in the foreground."
